Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Why the different Ark prices Bloomy?
I think this is the first time since I've refactored my scripts that they've had separate Gold and non-Gold discounts at the same time, which I don't account for in my refactor.

Wow, the Forza prices are Game Pass-specific?

Have we ever seen Game Pass only prices?
That appears to be the regular discount for Game Pass subscribers. MS has changed the backend marketplace pages a couple times recently, this may be another change where the Game Pass discount looks like a regular discount from my script's perspective.

Not sure if you've tried Call of Duty's Blackout battle royale mode during the beta, but your reaction is similar to how I felt when I played Blackout. PUBG is way too slow. Fortnite is a bit over the top (with things like rocket riding, the build anywhere concept, etc.). Blackout sits perfectly in the middle -- fast, fun, entertaining, but with a good amount of realism and strategy involved.
I agree on the speed of the 3 games, but I prefer pubg still. Because the map on Blackout is small like Fortnites, it’s a mad scramble to get down and get a weapon immediately. Getting killed once you hit the ground isn’t fun. Gimme thinking and planning over run and gun in my BR please. Also, the guy who said it takes 6 mins to get into a pubg match must be using a VCR X1 with a garbage connection. I have no such issues.

Looks like shopping cart and wish list are back in testing, and will be available to everyone "in a few weeks"

Additionally, the updated Shopping Cart is persistent and works across Microsoft Store on Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs, and online. So, if you add or remove an item from your cart in one store, those changes will be reflected in the others.

Xbox Insiders can begin using the improved cart today, and shortly after Windows Insiders can begin testing the feature. In a few weeks, all customers using the Microsoft Store on Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs and online can start using it.

I just watched the trailer  I think I'd give them $15 still. I would have bet the $15 it was some crazy azz japanese company doing something like Suda 51, but nope Human Head from good old Madison, Wisconsin.
Yeah I pre-ordered it because it looks like my type of crazy. It's also only a few hours long so not some huge time commitment.

At least Xbox is actually getting one of the cool costumes for once I guess, though it seems extremely late to add Suicide Squad anything to anything, especially the Joker design everyone hates. I don't know if this says more about PUBG or DC at this point. Still, this will probably be a win for a lot of people over the NFL stuff in Fortnite, though it's not like one guest skin matters much in the long run. A costume definitely isn't anywhere as cool as the special mode Thanos brought to Fortnite.

https://twitter.com/PUBG/status/1059616915868381184

Don't think I saw anyone mention this but there is a 500 point RDR2 punch card on my X1 rewards app. Just have to own it and earn two achievements.

I hope they really re-work the whole store maybe even the whole dashboard at some point, I've had nothing but issues with it the last couple months, slow to load, not loading at all, putting me on random game pages. It must have some of the same back-end as the god awful Windows 10 store, that one seems to decide on a flip of a coin that it's going to tell me I own zero games and have none installed.

While they are working on the "new" consoles I hope a ton of leg work is being done on the dashboard portion. None of it is deal breaking but having it feel so slow and not snappy even on the X starts to grind away after awhile. Although since they seem to all be "Universal Windows Apps" it's probably not likely.

Looks like Jydge is the right price for me finally.

Also Watch Dogs 2 is the weird millennial simulator I never knew I needed. Like "LARGE SCALE GANG WAR! SO MANY BODIES! But wait, hold up! I gotta take a picture of this panicky woman calling 9-1-1."

There is a new punch card up in the MS Rewards Xbox App for Red Dead 2. 500 points for activating the punch card and earning two achievements. November 5th - 20th.

Bulletstorm full clip is on sale for 13.20. I'll probably snag that. I know it's free over in ps plus land starting tomorrow but I play way more Xbox and don't currently have plus.

Lastly I am UNCOMFORTABLY close to buying a 360 so I can use MS credit to get 360 games again. I'm sure it causes a host of problems for them but it sucks that there is no way to buy those games with money they kinda already have. (btw thank you to the person/persons? who offer to grab stuff 360 for people, I'm just too lazy to reset app passwords and two factor stuff)

Well, first off my apologies for confusing the fact that you are asking about the Expansion Bundle. I thought you were asking about the Complete Add-ons Collection which is what I bought while it was on sale.

I scrolled down the page on the link you posted and they're on sale for $5 each (Porsche expansion - 7 days left, NASCAR expansion - 9 hours left):

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/porsche-expansion/bpzf9t9mcwq7?ocid=AID681541_aff_7593_1243925&activetab=pivot:eek:verviewtab

Yeah I noticed that both of them were both on sale earlier when searching through the store. Lucky me! Thank you for the heads up either way.

They're making a Suicide Squad sequel directed by James Gunnnnnnnn, so maybe not!
Yeah, but that's just starting to get off the ground, with probably two years before it's out. If DC was trying to stay on brand it'd be Aquaman or Shazam or something current. Deadshot from Suicide Squad would have made more sense to me than Joker as well, since he is primarily a gun user. Fortnite had their Infinity Gauntlet event when the movie was as current as possible, this timing just seems very strange to me.

PUBG has been starting to get into skin territory lately but until recently packs of DC themed shirts and the like would fit the games boring aesthetic more, not that I'm complaining I guess, but it seems like it'd be pretty immersion shattering for the players that are "too cool" for the cartoony nature of Fortnite. As for myself, I'd be a lot more likely to buy that Harley outfit outright than any of the other trash they've been offering or half-assed Battle Pass attempts they've made.

Ugh, looks like another crappy sale. Hopefully they'll have a good one soon for black friday/cyber monday.

At least the free 3 month game pass for the Points Crusader quest came through, especially since Forza Horizon 4 is included in it. Did notice that the code they sent me took 30 minutes to register for some strange reason.

Wow, looks like an HD version of Rollcage. Hopefully the gamepass option is enabled soon.

MS Rewards question time... I have 17K points, Live covered for the next year, Game Pass covered through March (with another 3 months expected if they ever pull their head out of their ass with the current promo). What are the odds we see a discount on Xbox gift cards soon? That would help me out with the inevitable Black Friday/Christmas/new year’s sales
Very strong if you live near a Rite-Aid this week, and don't mind paying full price for those GC's to get in-store credit:

https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/368574-/

Oh wait, you meant by using MS Rewards points ... sorry, no help here!

anyone tried redeeming the 3 month game pass code on the screen on xbox for the 5000 points to see if it triggers completion?

I'm curious if it would work before I decide what to do with my code

Finally got the 20 logins to complete the Bad Lands on Sunday.

Received the 2500 points but nothing on the 3 month game pass.

How long does it take for them to send the code?

Look for it in the Redeem section. You have to order it for 0 points, and you should get an email with a code (almost instantly)

it comes up as a free reward on the reward page so make sure to look for it there then "purchase" it for 0 points

I have an xbox one X and my internet is wired into the console and I get 200Mb/s from my ISP. Perhaps the long match times were because I was playing duos and the other guy's connection was bad. It still left a really bad taste in our mouths. I'll have to go back and try it solo and see if my results are any better.

I wasn't trying to throw shade at PUBG. I LOVED that game on PC, but I think half or more of my enjoyment comes from who I am playing with and this guy I was doing the XBOX version with was brand new to the game, and was just not having a good time at all. I'm pretty decent at shooters, but he really struggles sometimes and he said the entire time we played PUBG he didn't even see another player before he died and so the long matchmaking queues just made it even more frustrating. Also in fortnite, there is so much more to do like the building, resource gathering, completing challenges for exp etc. and PUBG is just shooting other players and that's all.

I can totally see how people who are good at shooters would prefer PUBG because that game is a better test of those skills where in Fortnite most of the time I die simply because dude had a shotgun and built a higher ramp than I did.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The wave of Final Fantasy titles to come to :xb1: has started to crash against our shores:

Not the most hard-core of titles, but a welcome one for sure.

How many Tom Clancy games are left to go BC?

Last edited by a moderator:
That's a big old meh but any additions are welcome on principle.

It's actually hard to think of games which aren't BC yet minus a few big ones, which is pretty great. Still waiting for Max Payne 3 and some Square-Enix RPGs, the latter of which may be wishful thinking.

We've gotten a few of them to go BC, so surely they aren't holding out on the big ones? I like to think of them as wanting to release all three at the same time and there being a LOT of content to test before they do.

I pretty much count any games coming to BC as a win even when I don't care about them

the more the merrier and the better the chance it keeps going long enough to maybe get a few more I like down the road
