I picked up Megaman 11 and Pang Adventure on sale.  I already knew Megaman 11 is awesome, my son has it on Switch.  But Pang I took a chance on having been a fan of Buster Bros. and man that game is fun, I played it waaaay too late last night.  Definitely a "one more level" kind of game and a bargain for 5 bucks.

I was low on sleep, so that didn't connect with me last night. While it is nothing resembling incentive to buy all 9 games, if you already had plans to buy them it's a nice little bonus.

Last year I completed multiple challenges by starting Tales From the Borderlands. This year it looks like it’ll be LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean. I already started it to get the 12 GS achievement for finishing the first level on day 1, looks like I’ll go back to the well here.

Title is kinda cliche but I'm stoked nonetheless.

Slowly getting the gf to watch MCU, we have about 6 films before she can watch Infinity War. I'm worried it's going to get spoiled for her, but so far, it hasn't been.

I Mean in all fairness...Ultron isn't that much better, but at least she won't have to bare witness to Tony getting over his PTSD by a kid giving him a pep talk on the phone.

Punch card for Just Cause 4 achievement - I rented Just Cause 4 from Redbox and unlocked the Classic Hits achievement (Used only the Retract for 15 non-consecutive minutes) pretty quickly. I checked the punch card and it was checked off completed right away.

I stopped playing after so I can't say if the game is any good.

I only noticed it because I happened to know Pang was the original name of Buster Bros. in Japan. I would have totally passed it by otherwise. Given it isn't by Capcom, I was wondering about it - but I guess Capcom was just the publisher of the originals. Anyways, it is a ton of fun and the addition of boss battles is really cool. I like that they got rid of the super tiny bubbles, the smallest ones are about the size of the second smallest ones in the originals. It isn't as hard as the originals, but some of the gimmick levels (levels that require strategy to beat the timer) are pretty good puzzles (there aren't a ton of them).

Ultron isn't a great film, but plot wise it's really important, and has some great character moments.

I'd rather watch it again than Dr. Strange, anyway

Dr. Strange had too much hype. I went in thinking it was going to be a lot better. It ended up boring the heck out of me. Black Panther was awesome though along with Infinity War. Ant man wasn't great in my opinion especially the second one but make sure you watch the new spiderman, I really liked this version of the character. Just one man's opinion but I recently watched all the MCU films and liked most of them.

The Avengers movies have become a mess. Dr. Strange was great an so was Ant-Man. Overall, I prefer Dac movies.

I want to say "HOW DARE YOU???" But seeing Dr Strange in 3D at the time really helped my enjoyment of the film immensely. That and Dr Strange after Ragnarok and Infinity War works much better as a straight man than a lead character. Though I greatly enjoyed Tilda Swinton in it, but man they did Mads Mikelson dirty in that movie.

Dr. Strange seems like one of those movies that woukd be greatly improved by viewing it on a giant screen in a theater rather than watching it at home. I have similiar feelings for Pacific Rim, saw it on an imax. Visually impressive but not a great movie.
 
Long Forza Horizon 2 DLC issues rant ahead...

I recently started FH2. I actually bought it way before it was a GWG selection. I've also picked up I think all of the DLC in there. I'm a few different road trips deep in the game so far. I have a problem in that I've purchased all of the car packs, and none of the cars show up as free for me in the auto show. I've probably got enough money for it to not be an issue, but I definitely think if I paid real money (Bing earned M$ bucks) for the cars, I should probably get access to said cars. Now, the VIP status shows up. I bought the Porshe 944 for cheap and have earned the 20 Clean Racing Skills achievement. So clearly it can track that I've purchased some of the DLC. Anybody have any thoughts or solutions? I'm not sure if completely erasing the xbox is the path I want to take but it might be the only recourse to have a complete experience.

 
Good luck, a dirty little secret is how bad Forza is janky on some of this stuff. Forza 1 rally and 100 club DLC both have failed to recognize at various times for me. Same with Forza Horizon 2 Storm Island DLC, and even Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain. I've never bought a "car pack" so I can't say for sure if you just get them for free right away or you just get the right to buy those cars from in game currency which I do believe is a thing.

I also assume you mean by not completely erasing the Xbox you mean the game. Sadly you might have to go down that path. My solutions for all the other issues above were basically step by step installs and not using the Horizon in game menus. I'd load up Horizon 1, get some kind of save, quit, go in the Xbox One dashboard and from the Forza 1 game tile from the dashboard choose manage my games and add-ons, and piece meal load them in, rinse repeat.

It's been a while since I played but have you downloaded each of the car packs from the marketplace? Once you do that you should be able to buy them for $0 from the shop.

Good luck, a dirty little secret is how bad Forza is janky on some of this stuff. Forza 1 rally and 100 club DLC both have failed to recognize at various times for me. Same with Forza Horizon 2 Storm Island DLC, and even Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain. I've never bought a "car pack" so I can't say for sure if you just get them for free right away or you just get the right to buy those cars from in game currency which I do believe is a thing.

I also assume you mean by not completely erasing the Xbox you mean the game. Sadly you might have to go down that path. My solutions for all the other issues above were basically step by step installs and not using the Horizon in game menus. I'd load up Horizon 1, get some kind of save, quit, go in the Xbox One dashboard and from the Forza 1 game tile from the dashboard choose manage my games and add-ons, and piece meal load them in, rinse repeat.

I know first hand how janky things can get. During the FH3 days, I was unable to connect to any online features only after the Hot Wheels DLC came out. It came down to some weird bug that supposedly only effected people with small ISPs. (Which I am, living in rural-ass Kansas) But it took awhile to fix and they didn't really tell me much except thanks for submitting the error codes and stuff.

Usually with the car packs, you get a one time 0 credit purchase of the car. Then you can buy it for whatever the normal price goes for. I cannot get any of the cars to show up for free. I can purchase them for their listed price, but would rather not. I do own the Storm Island DLC. I haven't tried to access it yet. By erasing the Xbox, there's some nuclear settings that may or may not make it work. It basically involved clearing any sort of cache in the system. Maybe as extreme as resetting the xbox to factory default. Not a big deal as the game is installed on an external drive, but seems like an option that shouldn't need to take place. Incidentally, I did do a complete reinstall of FH2 the other day. It works just the same. I may experiment with the install one thing at a time approach when I get home later this morning. My other thought was to take the Xbox offline and see if that helps things. Man, those Forza forums are weird. A lot of complaints and not a whole lot of info back. But god forbid you fucking cuss, they'll moderate that real quick.

All the car packs show was Purchased from the start menu. All the packs installed on the xbox.

Since you said External hard drives... I wonder if "hard drives" could be a factor, Halo Wars 2 loved to not install on my system unless I put it on the internal drive, gawd damn waste of an ultimate edition 

 
Have a question about FF XV Pocket Ed. I have been away from xbox for close to a month now and the withdrawal was setting in. So, tried to see if I can play something from the windows store and ended up with ff xv pe - chapter 1, you know, the free one.

Now, I wants the rest of the chapters. The only way to buy the chapters is through the game itself, is it? When you are playing you get these annoying prompts about purchases and option to buy chapters, that seems to be the only way I see; and wanted to confirm with you experts. Also, has it ever been on sale - paying full price feels dirty to me.
 
I want to totally say that when it came out Pocket Edition might of been $19.99 for a few weeks and let everyone know you better buy this right friggen now cause were raising the price in a bit. Maybe it's $29.99 all together now, never seen an option to buy episodes on the Xbox at least. Honestly I'm almost at the point I'm treating Square/Enix like maybe Telltale games after these last few weeks of craziness and their Christmas game is Just Because 4.

Because I was a sucker and pre-ordered Battlefield 5 on XBL, never anticipating it would drop so fast, EA/Microsoft took pity upon me and sent me codes for 2 free months of EA Access which is equivalent to $5 in value.  Better then nothing but come on, this was a 33% to 50% drop in 2 weeks.  If anyone else here pre-ordered it on XBL look in your xbox messages for the codes (2 different 1 month codes)

On a brighter note the Just Cause 4 Game Pass Quest awarded me the 500 points within an hour of gaining an achievement.

I believe the big discount on XBL credit thru Bing rewards is ending 12/15 so use your points up ASAP on those!

 
not sure where you're at but Goat SIm is awesome for 5 with gold and Human Fall Flat is great for 6 for 20 and still plenty of achievements left in them

I got my two codes yesterday. I'd be more bummed about this if I hadn't had the offer for 20% off the deluxe edition that I bought with credit I got at 20% off.
