Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Speaking of BL2, I have the Handsome Collection digitally, but the XB1 BL2 doesn't appear in my installed or ready to install list. The BC BL2 is there though. Wonder if that's causing a problem.
I have a similar problem. I only had 360 Borderlands 2 showing in my installed games list even though both versions are installed. Hard reset the Xbox... now I only see the Xbone version.

No problem!

Didn't know this, thanks!

I'm stuck on all the E's. None of the games that I've started have easy ones and I can't find a good game in my collection that would have multiple in order to be able to only start one new game. Anyone got any pointers for some Easy E's? ;)

PS. An arcade game or game with fewer achievements would be preferred; I'm still trying to recover from last year's bean dive before June...

Forgot I had done this. Again, glad it's working out for you. I just love TA, they have such sophisticated code on that site, and they are constantly improving and updating it for ease of use.
There's also a filter for gamepass games so you can pull all of those at once and add to your games.

That is fuck ing nuts. A lot of angry people who don't carefully read things before buying are going to be wanting refunds.

Is there really that many people who are like "Hey, I want a steelbook case for a game I don't own a physical copy of, plus maybe a zombie mask and a USB drive too small to be of any real use?"
It's not that crazy, there have been quite a few collector's edition's without the actual game the last couple years. EA has done it a few times with Mirror's Edge, Battlefield 1, Mass Effect. I know Wolfenstein New Order and Ark did it also. I'm sure there are others.

I ended up getting COD Ghosts James Hardened Edition. I loved Extinction but got rid of the game a little too hastily. I'm sure I can find some guys on TA to help me run through it.
I loved to play Extinction. Got all the achievements and the stress to play completing all the challenges is something I really enjoyed. I even completed two Extinction achievements for Xbox 360 version.

Do you have Shadows of the Damned? Game begins with "You Go to Hell". There are some very early ones in Forza Horizon 3 (You're Hired, You're the Boss).

I'm contemplating the Yaaaaaay achievement in the Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina DLC or Year 2 in Forza Motorsport 3. Knocked out the "Y" in Happy with FM3's Year 1.

I saw someone else on one of my discords yesterday complaining about their Borderlands 2 went missing. Don't see that he figured it out but you guys are not alone it seems.

Is there any one else who can't post, quote, multiquote, etc on your pc/laptop?

Seems to be working fine on my phone.

edit - seems to be working now.

Am I missing any gem in this sale?

Thanks!
Song of the deep is worth it for less than 4 bucks. Easy 1000 g, fun/interesting gameplay, and the story isn't super long or anything so you don't have to ignore the backlog too long.

Battlefield 1, Wolfenstein, and Ark all appear to have included the game.

Either way, it's still crazy. Even if it somehow becomes commonplace, I don't think that makes it any less crazy to have a collector's edition of a game that doesn't include the freaking game.

Battlefield 1 and Wolfenstein (The New Order) CEs could be bought separate from the game. Source: Me and my poor poor wallet.

Which to get, COD AW Gold edition for $20 or platinum for $33? Casual gamer who hasn't played COD in years, if theres a lot more value on the platinum or not so much, I'd like to know!

The DLC maps are really neat, but I would be concerned about whether anyone else has the DLC to play a match with. AW was my favorite of the futuristic COD games, but most of the playerbase flocked to BO3 when it came out, and stayed there since IW wasn't that great. It's a gamble, I'd do some research first.

Death Squared is pretty fun. Probably more so with co-op but even solo is a good challenge.

Resisted Just Cause 3. I still haven't played the second one, and JC3 will be on sale again by the time I could play it. Started Agents of Mayhem instead, I can see why people were disappointed. It's not bad, but it's kind of bland compared to Saints Row and the story is dull. I'll probably keep with it though.

Man...  Super tempted with 8 bit anthology.  The only one of those I played was Shadowgate; my friend had the Game Boy Color port.  I liked it so much, I went and tracked down the NES version and bought it.

That theme song.  I used to just let it play in the background.  This was before youtube, so I literally used to boot up the game on my NES and listen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94Tsezcm8yA

I was always interested in the other two games from the "series."  Uninvited and Deja Vu.  But these definitely seem like "guide games" in that you need a guide to beat them.

That's the only thing that's holding me back.  I think my days of rushing to gamefaqs every time I get stuck in a game are behind me.  I'd rather play a game with a beer at my side; not a laptop.

Using back to the future of the second Y achievement, anyone know if in gears you can level select or have to play in order? Would help with a lot of these letters if I can skip to the right level

There's probably not a lot of people playing still, but I was in the minority of people who loved the GRFS multiplayer back in the day.

I have psychic powers. I bought a copy of GRFS for $1.79 yesterday.
Well I bought GRFS like...FOUR OR SIX YEARS AGO!

That Wild West challenge for Xbox Rewards, it says you have to spend $30 before taxes. Essentially that means they're forcing me to buy two items minimum right? Anyone else participating in this thing? Sorry if I'm late.

So that’s just the Peace Walker disc from the MGSHD collections and not MGS 2&3?
Wonder if they have the whole collection done but have only chosen to release one. Then they can save the other two for weeks when they are light on bc releases, and throw mgs2 and/ mfs3 in there. That way we still get several releases that week.

I think I've seen others mention getting credit for rewards missions despite being $0.05 short, but I've always made sure to go over the limit. If your primary concern is how many items you're purchasing, there's probably something that qualifies that's $40. :D

Oh well, at least I can cross half the MGS HD collection off my 360 list at least. And glad I bought GRFS on sale for $4 a year or so ago. It seems BC is killing my 360 retirement list fast than completions are (still only finished Dust from the list)

Wish they would have brought GRAW/2 first.

I have never seen anyone playing FS recently. Once in a while there's at least people playing AW/2=

Nah I just wanted to see if I could get away with making a qualifying purchase as close to the $30 threshold as possible. Honestly though, I'd feel a little dirty paying $29.99 for RDR knowing it's cheaper anywhere else. But at least I'd get $15 back so that would mitigate the pain a little.

For some reason, the "Quote" button wasn't working. The "MultiQuote" button worked but when I tried to reply it didn't work.

Anyways. from Gurren - Anyone received their January Xbox game pass quest reward? It was for playing mad max for 5-10 hrs.

I didn't try for the game pass quest but I did not receive a prize for the Gold Quest. I posted to Xbox Forums > Sales and Promotions > General Sales and Promotions on the first with what I completed and received a reply sending me to the page of the tasks required as if did not complete the correct ones. Someone replied stating I did complete the correct ones (from what I listed) and the person sent it in for review. I just got a message today with a code for $5 credit. It took 11 days for it be resolved.

I would recommend you post your completed quest and ask for a review.
Thanks for posting this, I never received my January Gold Quest either. I just replied to another person who is missing theirs too on that forum. Didn't know it existed, especially since it isn't listed in their forum directory I found.
