Has anyone played Paladins or Neverwinter and can say whether the "Better with friends" for Paladins or the XP Boost for Neverwinter are any good? I'm trying to spend my 1300 gems on xbox rewards and am considering those or just one of them and mixing in the gwent card kegs and maybe an overwatch wallpaper (couldn't find it on google images).

Well the complete is three pieces of DLC: one is always free, one is two quickly discarded starter items and a tracker for finding hidden stuff which sounds useful, the third is actual content. The actual content DLC seems to have reviewed decently and adds a few hours of content and the environment is supposed to be quite different from the rest of the game which is one of the bigger criticisms of the base game (lot of sameness in environments).

So if you don't want the tracker thing it's like 50 cents cheaper to buy the game and DLC separate. DLC is also on sale right now so you could always wait and hope that's more than 33% off down the road. I was going to do one of those but just ended up buying the complete, figured waiting on the DLC to be cheaper seemed like a bad idea since XBL sales are almost exclusively on base games and complete/gold editions.

I bought Dead Island: Riptide during one of the sales some weeks ago and my brother and I are having an issue we can't seem to find anything about online.

So when you have weapons that have fire damage or electricity damage nothing happens to the zombies we hit them with. Usually they would catch on fire or be electrocuted but it doesn't happen. We even tried to restart the game and it still doesn't happen. 

Anyone else ran into this issue?

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I mean there's some bright spots if you like N64 era 3D platformers but there's also a lot, a lot that's still really lacking or clinging too rigidly to that era even after a couple major patches. I think $7-10 is probably where I would say it's worth checking out if you're into the genre personally.

I believe the weapon mods activated on crits or in situational cases like the zombie being on the ground or it being the final hit, depending on the mod.

I like the prices on both those games, but the collector in me wants the physical disc vs being digital. Guess I'll wait for May's game pass additions to be announced. Hopefully tomorrow

I got it on clearance at Target during Black Friday for $9. IMO it's a really fun game with quite a few flaws that is very enjoyable and has enough content that it's worth way more than $13. The final boss is terrible, though, and the controls at times at least on an Xbox can be frustrating. But the game has a lot of charm and is a worth a playthrough.

Yeah, it doesn't happen at all though. On some hits the hit counter will be orange for fire and purple for electricity but that's it. The zombies never actually catch on fire or get electrocuted. It's weird.

 
Overcooked is awesome. Played with my spouse who isn’t a gamer and she enjoyed it. She even wanted to three star each level. Seems like a good mobile to Xbox transition game for a significant other. I was worried our marriage wouldn’t handle it but we were fine.

Remember there is a dash button the game doesn’t tell you about. Makes a world of diff. B I think

Any platformer fans who don’t have GamePass, Hue is worth it for the sub-$5 price. It’s a fun game with a cool mechanic and some decent replay value with collectibles (re-playing levels I mean, keeps it going after you beat the main story at least). The story is cute for the type of game, too, if you’re into that kind of thing.

Just my two cents for the week.
 
That's right Microsoft, keep testing those OG BC prices. If these chumps will pay $15 for the latest additions, just think how much they will pay for Star Wars!!!

Those aren't new but you can tell me about anything Fortnite and I will pay attention. The skin ain't great but that is probably the best glider available.

Wow didn’t realize Panzer Dragoon Orta was on the bc list! Maybe now people can finally shut the fuck up about how great it was and buy it so it can sit in their backlog untouched next to other classics like Beyond Good and Evil and Jet Set Radio.
