Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Looked at the Rocket League roadmap and apparently they have a Rocket Pass coming that's exactly like the Fortnite battlepass. Paladins added one as well, so I wonder if this will be the new thing devs start doing.
I think DOTA 2 even started back with calling things a Pass again, I guess were going back to season passes, it's just a merry-go-round

Fortnite has a battlepass where you can earn a few things for free by playing the game and leveling up, or you can pay $10 to get the "premium" tier, where you unlock both the free and premium items. It basically gives you another reason to come back and play the game or do daily challenges, because you're always unlocking new things.

Here's the fortnite one for example. Everytime you level up the battlepass you unlock the corresponding items. Every 2 months the season ends and there's a new battlepass.

Oh, interesting. Smite is the only free to play I ever spent money in and it was just to unlock all the characters, I considered that like buying the whole game. The game pass thing doesn't appeal to me but I can see why it would to kids that can spend $10 and earn faster instead of spending $100 and getting yelled at by Mom.

I actially don't care for Fortnite too much but my son loves it. I bought the Battle Pass this season for him and I've actually had a fun time doing the challenges for him. I never win and don't even focus on it.

What often gets overlooked with the Battle Pass talk is that it is $10 every time. You get these things for a month or two, then shell out another 10 bucks on more stuff. It's their "pay to win" model, except in this case, it's "pay to dance".

Thankfully the items truly do nothing for your performance so it really is just a cosmetic thing and easy to justify not paying a penny.

So..... pointless to mention? I bought it in the bundle version because I liked a lot of the items.

Whelp I randomly have $4.90 in there.

SO MARBLE VOID FA FREE!

You guys know what to do, I'll pick someone later this evening.

ps. For those of you who do no know what to do, like this jawn and I'll pick a name randomly
pps. I just use google random number generator, but I know there is places where you can set up like a spin wheel and add names to it? to at least add something visual?
ppps. I cashed out my gems so when they drop into my account I'll do a higher priced game :)
Thanks for doing this as always. Also we will have to get some more ODST time in someday soon. Been bouncing around with different games but always love picking that up. Just had a lot going on outside of gaming lately too.

If Fortnite is your jam, it's not that much. $10 every 10 weeks is $50/year and then you will have most likely moved onto something else. If you just played the free to play version it's about the same as a Best Buy $48 new release.

It's really not that bad, if you actually have the time to play you earn more V-bucks then you paid for going through the Battlepass. It cost 950 and I think you can earn 1300 if you manage to hit the last reward for them. If you bare minimum spend like 3 or 4 hours a week to complete all 10 weeks of challenges I'm pretty sure you'd get the 1000 V-bucks needed for the next pass.

this. It's 950 "vbucks" and there's 1500 vbucks total in the battlepass as rewards. People that maxed out the battlepass in season 3 just turned around and used that money to buy the season 4 pass.

Damn, didn't realize a bunch of the FH3 challenges already ended.  Was trying to wrap them up since the weekly ones usually end Thur night / Fri morning, thought some of them had glitched.  Though I still got screwed on a few last weekend, since I got the Cult Classics race one to pop with a showdown race at the airport, but the Bentley, GMC and Ferrari ones didn't.

I cannot find the games that will be living XGP by myself. I´m Xbox Game Pass subscriber but there is no section for me showing the games leaving on may 31.
So about Bioshock Infinite. Have they patched the DLC to work on the Xbox One if you purchased it on the 360? I remember getting the 2nd part of each expansion loaded on there (the free ones) but the paid DLC first part of the DLC didn't show up as ready to download or as previously purchased. Very annoying.

Yep. Been working since the fall.

Or at least that’s when I finally played through the DLC that I had bought on 360 at release and never played. All of it worked great.

Burial at Sea’s ending was great!

I finally bought Nine Parchments this morning and on the payment screen it gave me an offer to add a payment method and get $2 credit for being part of MS Rewards, once per person. YMMV and no idea when it posts.

Afterwords did the offer disappear? I went through with my purchase then added another item and went to checkout and the offer still shows. I was thinking the offer message would go away meaning I activated it but I’m a little worried that it’s still showing.

On the console. You’ll see it when you get to the payment page of an Xbox One game or dlc (backwards compatible or anything that goes through the old 360 marketplace doesn’t seem to work) it will display a message saying to add a payment method and get $2 to use on the Microsoft store for being a rewards member. Also if your default is your Microsoft account balance, change it to a different method of payment first otherwise you won’t see the message.

LUCKY NUMBER 17

sooooooo

Chrisbravo you are the winner

Would you kindly PM me over your GT and I'll send it over when I get a chance

And what did you do instead? What I've come to expect of you. You saved them. You gave them the one thing that was stolen from them : a chance.

See ya next time

I had everything installed and was able to start Burial at Sea a couple months ago. I'm pretty sure I originally bought it on 360 because I would have used XBL credit.

Impressions were over the moon for Last Jedi as well and that was...perplexing.
These didn’t seem quite as over the moon. Were a few that said it was just okay.

Also, I’m one of the few that actually liked The Last Jedi. But the dude playing Han Solo just does not feel right for the part and the trailers looked “meh”.

I’ll still MP it.

I Think it's hard to trust any Star Wars reviews in general post original trilogy because there will always be a handful of reviewers that say dumb shit like "BEST STAR WARS SINCE EMPIRE!" And it's never the case. I'll go see it, but I'm going to walk, not run to the theaters for any Star Wars movie in general.

Be careful and dont Crip walk to the theater, might get shot

I was always in the camp of people who didn't think a Solo movie was necessary.  We know enough of what we need to know to keep his character interesting.  I'm still of that belief.  I don't think this movie is necessary.

That said, from what I've seen and read, I do think it looks like it could be a fun movie.  The actor looks, acts, and talks nothing like Harrison Ford so I'm going to suspend my disbelief for this part and approach the movie like a typical action movie and not a Solo-backstory movie, if that makes sense.

There's been rumors today that they might be starting production on an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie.  Now that would be interesting and I definitely hope they bring Ewan McGregor back for this.  He was the best part of the prequels, imo.

This might be my buy price to play again.

EDIT: Yeah, couldn't say no.

Okay, so apparently I may play Super Mega Baseball 2 because it meets one of my criteria for a sports game.

i believe he was asking about the physical version, if you bought the complete edition it had it on the bonus disc which doesnt register on the xbox to trigger a download, i seems most of the complete editions that came with the extra disc content doesn't register

well thats better than me, stopped wasting money on theaters years ago, but like you said anything coming out of disney gets overrated and over praised to not trigger people anyway by ignorant and paid reviewers anyway, ur better off waiting till the inevitable all day marathon on cable

Infinity War would like an infinite amount of words with you.

I tried to play Pirates of the Caribbean but after 45 mins deleted it.  Seemed mega boring and not well suited to single player experience.  It paired me up with 3 others.  Two of which bailed pretty early on.  Lost track of the 3rd.  Sailed around a bit in a pretty empty world.  Did not have any gold so no weapon.  I think I finally saw a skull with lit up eyes or whatever.  Which I assume is an area of conflict.

Supposedly some major updates (maybe today?) to flesh it out a bit.  I was actually falling a sleep.

Wasn't a big fan of the art style either.

Maybe try Super Mega Baseball 2 over the weekend.  At least I get a bat and can see other characters.

I'm going to do a giveaway. It probably doesn't interest everyone since it's not a game. Maybe if I do it again.

It's my main character I play, I recently hit level 100 and it goes to charity so I'm going to give away a Pink Mercy skin.

Like this post and I'll enter you in and use a random generator to pick the winner some time Sunday afternoon eastern time.

I can gift it on xbox or pc, winners choice.

But, I thoroughly enjoy the Marvel movies though. The only one that left a bad taste in my mouth and believe every critic who praised was taking crazy pills was Iron Man 3. They're the movies that I almost feel don't get enough credit because everyone bashes on them for having the same formula, but yet so many movie studios try to make a shared universe movie that's entertaining and fail completely (Universal monster universe failed twice, DC movie universe, Sony's original Amazing Spider-man movie universe, among many others). Not to mention because they're the only ones in the game who have gone this far and can take the superhero genre into places like a thriller or space opera and still feel like it's sharing the same universe.

Star Wars movies being meh to me, isn't a Disney problem, it's just it suffers from the unfortunate luck that after the original three movies, people are just making it up as they go and don't know which way to go.

Only played the tutorial but Laser League seems like a fun little game. I’m sure I’ll suck at MP, of course. Nice GamePass add.

Do the saves from the vanilla transfer over? If so, I'm tempted just based on the DLC alone.
Yeah, technically everything is just DLC and you're playing the same game. It's not the same as the Witcher 3 Complete version.

I want to check out the updated version but since they announced even more DLC I guess I'm waiting another 6+ months.

See ya next time
Awesome! must be my lucky day, thanks!

i believe he was asking about the physical version, if you bought the complete edition it had it on the bonus disc which doesnt register on the xbox to trigger a download, i seems most of the complete editions that came with the extra disc content doesn't register
Yeah I had purchased the DLC on my 360 to use with a physical disc or I believe the game was also part of XBL Gold too so I've got it that way too, either way the DLC wouldn't show up on my Xbox One. Sounds like some people have gotten it to work so I guess I'll reinstall everything and give it a go again.

Thanks for all your help on this one guys!
