Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Amazing that Destiny 2 is that cheap a little over six months after release. I’d say that was a fail.
My take is that they botched the end game so much that it became a mainstream meme, so Activision/Bungie just killed it and put the resources into the 3rd game. If I were Bungie I'd want to get this crap trilogy wrapped up ASAP so their contract can end and they can jump ship. I have a feeling Bungie will never work with Activision again.

So, after watching the Black Ops 4 reveal, it seems all the leaks were accurate: no "traditional" single-player campaign (unless I missed something at the very beginning), instead the focus will be on zombies (with 3 maps launching on day one and the ability to play with bots if you want to go solo) and a battle royale mode.

So it's the 17th and my pending ms funds from last month are still pending. Thought they say they get deposited on the 15th and 30th each month. Wondering why it's now two days past and they didn't deposit anything. Want those funds to get the state of decay 2 preorder in.

What about the standard online modes like TDM,DOM,SnD,prop hunt? If the game gets shipped without SnD Activision done "fucked it up".

I don't recall them going into details on what modes are going to be part of the multiplayer component. However, Treyarch said they'll be releasing more information throughout the summer.

1. The Xbox adaptive controller is so fucking awesome. What a great Idea. I often thought about how bummed I would be if I didn't have the ability to play with a controller anymore.

-- Side note, the guy that used to work at the arcade we would go to when I was younger was missing his right hand and he would play with his hands crossed (left of buttons, right on stick) and dude WAS GODLY at fighting games. If me or my bros were winning too much they would ask him to come and beat us, and he would, every fucking time!

2. Credits still haven't dropped into the account yet so just another cheap game this week :3

PENARIUM is the free game this week, like and I'll pick someone out later tonight or tomorrow.

yay!

I thought we were I'm an open relationship :(
Alexa knows about Cortana. I asked her. She said they keep bumping into each other in the digital space. Must be awkward.

Not sure if Cortana knows about Alexa. I think Alexa knows about Siri. Who knows who Siri knows. Cortana and Siri, that's just an apple through the window. [emoji6]

Hoping someone here can answer a question about Movies Anywhere, since I see it discussed a lot.

I realized I had some redeem codes for iTunes (I never use iTunes) and figured I'd see what the fuss is all about. On the website, MA shows Amazon and iTunes content all together, but I can't figure out if there's a way to get all of it to show up on my X1. An article I read said the Prime Video app would do it, but so far, it isn't showing iTunes content. Will the Vudu app be able to access them? Or is there no way to get it working on X1?

I use Vudu on xbox. I bought a $5 itunes code for Black Panther and it was there on Vudu right after.

Yeah, Vudu is the way to go with Xbox One. MA titles should port there. Of course, there’s a lot more 4K content on iTunes right now but sadly no other way to watch those other than with an Apple TV.

Still wonder where the fuck Microsoft is with Movies Anywhere.

When (IF) that happens, you should be able to use the MS Movies and TV app on X1 for MA content too.

I am intensely curious to see what peripherals are made/usable for this controller.
I suppose we will see something in two hours in the Inside Xbox new episode. But you can already find some of them on microsoft.com.

Quadstick: Designed for quadriplegics, the Quadstick is a mouth-operated joystick that works by blowing air into or sipping air from it.

RAM Mount with Ablenet Buttons: Two AbleNet Jelly Bean buttons attached to RAM Mounts round bases and arms. This setup allows a player to control the game with one leg placed between the buttons.

descarga_2.png

PDP One-Handed Joystick: This analog joystick has mappable buttons that enable players to customize their gaming setups and has a soft elastomer-coated finish for extra comfort and grip.

Cool, thanks. I'll set up Vudu and see how it works.

Does that mean it just comes across as standard HD, or that if its 4k in iTunes, it doesn't show up at all?

EDIT: Yeah, Vudu is picking up iTunes content. Cool. Unfortunately, what I have is SD, ew.

Also, yeah - MS not being involved really makes no sense, since they want the X1 to also be a media hub. It would increase the relevance of their own media sales significantly.

iTunes is giving free upgrades for HD movies to 4k which does not port to MA. You need to redeem a 4k code on MA for it to port to Vudu/Amazon/etc and that isn't guaranteed to work every time. If a movie is MA and you own it on iTunes, it should port to Vudu/Amazon/etc in HD.

My guess would be anything that has a 3.5nn plug. If you look at the back of it there is a corresponding outlet for all 19 buttons on the Xbox controller. And you can plug a standard controller in to coplay with someone controlling one of the analog controls.
This is one of the most amazing developments I've ever seen for video games. Probably the most interesting thing since Nintendo added a d-pad and I upgraded from an Atari 2600

Doesn't seem to be the case for SD content, at least, not from the scouring I did online and in the iTunes store.

Oh well, the digital copies were extras anyway, so it's no big deal either way.

Does anybody want my $5 Visa prepaid digital token? I can't access the site to redeem it. I'll take just about anything for it.

I redeemed 250 gems for the $5 prepaid Visa on Xbox Live Rewards last night. I got the email with the code that needs to be redeemed at www.prepaiddigitalsolutions.com . The site is blocked for me and says it's a harmful website. I just thought I would see if anybody that has already used the $10 and $5 Visa cards could redeem it. I would have gotten Warframe Platinum instead if I knew beforehand.
You should be trying to figure out why a safe site is being blocked for you. Specifically, who/what is responsible for blocking it. I occasionally get warnings like that while browsing, almost always false alarms that I bypass easily.

Anybody here play Wildlands? My girlfriend and I booted it up last night to check out the event mission involving Sam Fisher. Last time we played was for the previous Predator event, that we failed at multiple times before rage quitting. When we booted it up we still had the Predator mission, which I was under the impression ended four months ago. We got close to the marker and heard the Predator. We decided to play another game instead, until we could find out what is going on. I'd like to still finish it, but I'm worried it will disappear if we try to do another mission first.

I've seen this one before, there's a guy on Twitch that uses it to play PUBG with his mouth, it's pretty awesome:

To clarify, if you redeem an HD code on iTunes that already is 4K, it will port to MA as 4K as well. It’s just if an existing HD title gets upgraded then no new status is pushed to MA.

I sometimes find in those cases, if it has an iTunes code, I buy another one, redeem it and it then ports as 4K.

Then again, there’s still a ton of movies that are only 4K in iTunes. I have an Apple TV so doesn’t matter to me too much if they port. But Dolby Vision on Vudu can be better.

Speaking of which, MS really needs to update the Xbox One X to support Dolby Vision. Really a sore point for wanting to to be a one stop 4K machine.

Yeah, SD copies don’t get the free upgrade unfortunately.

I'm in the same boat. Put in a reward credit convert thing on the 7th.
Let us know. I got a ton of credits waiting to be deposited that I redeemed since the VISA GIFT CARDS weren't available before.

BTW those were easy for me. I got the reward email in under two hours and went right to the microsoft site and added the card. Bought $5 worth of spacebucks. Waiting on my credits now...

I use the Blu-ray.com link someone posted before listing iTunes sales. So if I buy a 4k movie there that's tagged as MA will it port in 4k?

Yep. As long as it’s MA, it’ll port as 4K. Even if Vudu adds it as 4K later, you can always disconnect and reconnect MA and it’ll go 4K there too.

It will be interesting to see what a call of duty game that is a large map with vehicles plays like. One of the big reasons I fell off call of duty was that I got tired of the tight maps. I liked the open maps of battlefield that allowed vehicles, it also helps that I have friends playing battlefield and I'm not alone like with call of duty. I also picked up the last three (still in the back log) on sale to play the campaign, so this one probably will be a pass for me because I feel like that "narritive driven" trailer showed a whole lot of nothing.

I am intensely curious to see what peripherals are made/usable for this controller.
It's just a matter of time before someone rigs it with some oddball combination of peripherals and posts how they beat Dark Souls with an Echo Dot and an electric toothbrush. Cause doing it with a Guitar Hero guitar and Donkey Kong bongos is so 2015

So it's the 17th and my pending ms funds from last month are still pending. Thought they say they get deposited on the 15th and 30th each month. Wondering why it's now two days past and they didn't deposit anything. Want those funds to get the state of decay 2 preorder in.
They did deposits a bit early on the 10th so gonna be a few more weeks until the next one.

Not saying it's indicative of the state of Xbox at all, I really liked the adaptive controller segment and the talk with No Man's Sky dude and the State of Decay 2 devs, but wow what's really going on over at Microsoft, they are making a 4 player Halo Arcade on the rails shooter? Stuff is really going to be ugly when Spiderman hits PS4.

Next question, does Fallout GOTY go on sale for 20 or is it just base game? Thinking of jumping on that $10 Amazon price, but I'd pay an extra 10 for the extra stuff even though I detest the base building.

I haven't watched it but I assume when your Microsoft and your making your E3 list for the stage. Anything you don't think should be on stage, you get it out of the way on Mixer.

We have an announcement but it's not E3 stage worthy, okay let's announce it a couple weeks before E3.

Maybe they're giving up on the XBox console and instead putting all their money in the thriving arcade scene?

Did they show a price though? I'd probably go if its discounted away from the main game. I don't care for standard COD MP or Zombies
From the company that wouldn't sell Modern Warfare Remaster separately for like 8 months, and then at $40? lol

The only reason this is going to have any legs at all is the attachment to the normal yearly CoD, but with the flood to BR games that are surely getting announced at E3 I think even CoD is going to have trouble standing out.

also btw before I get slagged for too much else, that adding the green area to the rumble strip turns in Forza is pretty impressive

Onrush beta is pretty cool. Kind of like a cross between Motorstorm and Burnout. But I have some questions.

Are there really no races even in the full game? Or is it all like team deathmatch?

Also wonder if there will be single player.

Edit: Found some answers — There is a single player campaign that also has co-op. And doesn’t sound like there are actual “races”. All basically Burnout style combat.

Seems cool enough but wouldn’t mind races added at some point for variety.
