Often overlooked, GoD are by default displayed in dollars both on Xbox.com as well as on the console, but on the very-first confirmation screen of the download process is the option to use Microsoft Points in place of real-world currency.

Through the console, after first selecting to download a GoD you are greeted by a familiar gray confirmation screen that pops up displaying the size of the download as well as confirming the price. At the bottom of this gray pop-up is the instruction to press the "X button" in order to change the payment type to MSP. Pictured below with an arrow:

On Xbox.com they've made it much more obvious, the confirmation "extra step" pop-up after clicking the download link displays a link that simply says "Use Microsoft Points" directly under the price in dollars at the top of the page.

Man, I feel so pathetic.  Between the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Steam, I own the majority of those games on sale next week.  There's basically nothing I even want to buy.

*sigh* Okay, is Monopoly Street any good?  LoL - WOW, did I really just ask that?

If you like monopoly, yes it actually is quite fun. Its basically monopoly with customizable (and saveable) rules.

Max Payne 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Forza Horizon, Metal Gear Rising: Revengance....if any of those hit 800 msp I'll have to bite. MP3 and Forza are the only ones I think may get that low though. Either way, I'll probably need to buy some points. :whistle2:[

Wow, great week indeed if the sale prices are good. For $10 I'd get Borderlands 2, Hitman absolution and Farcry 3. Prey for 400MSP would be nice too.

Thanks for the prices! I'll predict 33-50% off on any games $30+ and 50-75% off games below $30.

@lifelower on Twitter posted a picture of a Kinect XBLA bundle.

More #XBLA bundle incoming. (Dragon's Lair, Diabolical Pitch, Wreckateer, Haunt and Home Run Stars) pic.twitter.com/GQKAf43DQ4

Looks like mostly crap I've passed on before. Avoid.

To be fair, both Wreckateer and Haunt have been free before. They're good for...free...but not if you actually have to pay, and part of that reason is because you didn't get them for free like everyone else. ;)

Yeah keep dreaming if you think MS would put either of those titles for $10. You must be smoking some good chronic my friend.

40$ worth of bing ms points stored up, glad I waited!
How? I barely get enough for 400 MSP, unless you have multiple accounts.

Nothing on the list that interests me. I've got the games I want. The only one I don't own is Tomb Raider, but I beat that after a few redbox rentals (that I used free rental codes on), so I'll only bite if it's super cheap so I can finish up the achievements.

Hahaha, well, dreaming is free, right? :D Anyways Max Payne 3 was 400MSP here not so long ago, so it's still possible. But you're right, it's unlikely. Either way, if they prices are higher than I want will be better for me, since I don't want to spend so much money this month ;)

edit: just so you know, yesterday I bought Double Dragon Neon, so it shall be on sale pretty soon I guess :D

Wreckateer is the best out of the bundle and the only one worth paying for. Which sadly I did buy at a discount weeks before MS gave it for free. I kept putting off Haunt for free and missed it which is fine since it looks bad. I refuse to pay for a bundle of mediocre games. Only Dragon's Lair interests me and only for 200 MSP or free. So yeah, pass.

I do wonder if MS will release it at a promotional price like they did with the Twisted Pixel bundle. I'm sure a bunch of people would buy it for 800 MSP though with so many games included it could be 1200 if they do a promo.

I have only one, I just saved up a couple months, bought some small things here and there. My friend has an account and he gives me his codes sometimes.

Anyone else having issues with Magic 2014? Either they changed the rules or it's glitched cause the cpu is doing things I didn't think you could do. Had them summon a creature during their block phase. Huh? Maybe I don't know the true rules because I've never had this happen during the other 3 magic games.
Did the creature have flash (or was there another permanent on the battlefield which could have caused the flash)?

my pricing predictions for upcoming Ultimate Sale.. just for fun, (NOT OFFICIAL)

WWE 13: $29.99 | 2400 MSP
XCOM: Enemy Unknown: $19.99 | 1600 MSP

I do feel some could be lower, because they don't carry over to the Xbox One, for one reason, and two because they might want to hook people into some of these series, before next gen, and a lot of these have DLC associated with them that could get people to spend more money. I feel Borderlands 2 might be one of the big $10 games because of all the DLC it has, and because everyone that was gonna pay a lot for it already did, so they could squeeze a nice burst of money out of it with a $10 sale... Though odds are it'll be $15-$20.

I feel pretty confident all of these will be $5 games, (Rockstar Tennis, Prey, PDZ, Mass Effect, Far Cry Instincts, Dragon Age Origins, Crysis, Bulletstorm, Brothers In Arms...) because Mass Effect could rope people into buying the other ME games, same with Dragon Age Origins, which also has a ton of DLC that people may buy if they get the game for cheap. A couple of these I feel might even go as low as 240-320 MSP, probably PDZ or Rockstar Table Tennis... I could even see Prey going for that low.

Anyways, just guesses!

Seems like there's not much chatter other than predicting the pricing in the upcoming sale. My only problem is I'm retiscent of buying any GoD games at the moment due to the upcoming 6 months of free GoD games we'll be getting. Though I'm more than sure they'll just be games that I already own anyhow and old ones at that considering the first 3 they've hinted at.

Not sure if anyone is interested in looking at this but IGN just posted a rundown of the PS+ Instant Game Collection of the last year and what PS users have got for free with their membership. I'm crazy jealous. Seriously MS, get your shit together and give us some freebies. And some good ones at that - XBLA games included please.

http://au.ign.com/articles/2013/06/28/ps3s-instant-game-collection-one-year-64-free-games

^^

I'd wager you are right on almost all those. Exceptions would be Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Judgment (think will be higher), and Left 4 Dead 2 (wasn't this $10 last  UGS?). I'm really hopeful that your $5 guess are right, though it would suck for me backlog :oldman:

Gah, just bought Bioshock...not really too bad since I bought up the cheap MSP just for it (just $20 oop). I don't see it being near 2400 since it just got put up this week. Heck Black ops 2 just went on sale this week and they only dropped it 33%...interested to see what AC3, MGR, and BL2 will drop to.

my pricing predictions... just for fun, (NOT OFFICIAL)
Left 4 Dead 2: $19.99 | 1600 MSP
Seeing as it was only $10/800 MSP during the last sale, I'd be surprised if it was double that this time around. I'm expecting $10-15 for L4D2.

EDIT: Ninja'd by the Squirrel

Alot of these games have had sales before, and I am betting that this is for Microsoft (and the game publishers) big push for a lot of these before the new generation. These are my conservative guesses, we can all assume there will be a few titles that the price will "wow" us, and we will just have to get it.
Also I am going by alot of the recent sale prices I have seen these for (Including at the Microsoft store, just recently MGR:R and Tomb Raider were $30 for memorial day). So it would not surprise me one bit if we see ALOT of these, for much lower, actually I would assume many WILL be, I just am being conservative for my guesses, better to guess high and be surprised, than guess low and be disappointed. Either way, I have a ton of microsoft points from the $10 code fiasco... my body is ready...

Wow whole lots of lists going on here.

Maybe you guys should put them behind spoilers.  Like Sath said, they look like official posting lists and can lead to confusion, especially among casual skimmers of the thread.

Threw my predictions behind spoiler tags, I know how people can run with things lol. Didn't realize L4D2 was so cheap last time, I was going by physical pricing as the game seems to have held it's value really well. I'll definitely be in at $10 if it goes that low again, must've missed it last time. And hemi, I was also thinking there might be a few at the 600 MSP price point since I feel like we've seen that before, I feel like some pricing will be sporadic and there'll definitely be a few surprises (one or two either being much higher than our average predictions or much lower). Should be a decent sale though, I feel like I'll definitely be picking a few things up.

I'd like to see Mass Effect hit 400 pts. because Mass Effect.

To those expecting Gears Judgement, Bio Infinite or Tomb Raider <$30...don't count on it. We'll most likely be able to find them cheaper at retail.
tomb raider already is 30. so it's reasonable to expect 25 or less on the sale.

Ok, since MS seems to be determined to get me to get a 320GB HDD, where's the cheapest place to get one? :p

(preferably that could be PMed at Target since I have $150 in credit there)

I have 12.7 GB left after the last sale + Fable III

PDZ HAS to be sub 400 points. i think el shaddai was like 320 or something last year. PDZ has to ring in at around 200 points or no way anyone would bother with it. i would consider it for less than 400 points to relive those first couple months of 360 where all there was to do besides play most wanted was to play PDZ team deathmatches; it really was a great game at the time when the online was populated. hopefully it gets a fire sale and a week or so of that sweet MP coming back. i mean it costs what, a dollar at gamestop.

that list is pretty damn good, just bought horizon but id def recommend it at any discounted price. i love mass effect so maybe i'll pick up dragon age since it ought to cost max $2.50 with my sale points, assuming that it's in similar quality to mass effect, although i'm a little hesitant about it because dark souls really hits that urge for playing a medievil type game. so i wonder if it'll just get lost in my backlog since i like ME and DS more. oh well.

edit: actually after the CGR review, meh can't even bite on that. looks exactly like i thought it would, a story not as compelling to me as mass effect, and gameplay worse than dark souls. i'll just wait for DS2 for my medievil fix

What size HDD are you at right now? Because I mean buying new is rather ridiculous, I would save the target credit on something you KNOW you will have to pay full price for (Maybe one of the next gen launch games that does not have a pre-order bonus you crave). Instead buy used, either from here (SOMEONE will have one) Ebay, Amazon, Craigslist, as a last resort GAMESTOP!?... Because you could always just delete a few games off of the HDD. A NEW 320GB HDD will cost close to $100 and that is insane.

True. Right now I'm at 250 (slim that came with it)

There are few games I delete from my 360 HDD even if I 100% achievements unlock or just simply know I'm done with it I can never seem to delete them. With that said there are a few exceptions to that rule though and that's if that game is just downright awful, well Totemball and Yaris have company now as well because Spartacus is so damn awful. It looks and feels like a half assed game and even if I were stupid and rained down all my points on it there would be no way in hell the game could become fun at all. Outside of the 20 achievement points this game is nothing, but a waste of 2GB.

I just noticed Sonic Free Riders is 480 points in the Japanese marketplace (its 800 in the US marketplace)

Is there any way to get points that work on another region? I have no idea if it actually does by default.

I'd get Perfect Dark Zero, Far Cry Instincts Predator, Crysis, and The Orange Box for 400 each just so I don't have to use the discs anymore. Few others I'd like, but they'd have to go down to at least 800 points and I don't see that happening.

Careful. Don't go for a knock-off HDD. Knock-off HDDs ARE ALL OVER eBay and Amazon. I tried to do that earlier last year and save myself about $30 or $40 and both the original and the returned one crashed.

I then just shelled out for the official one, which came with Lego Star Wars III, and it's been good since! Knock on wood.

Related to this weeks sale is the Gears of War Judgement VIP pass worth it? Any single player dlc involved or is it just mostly maps and modes for the multiplayer?

Any input would be appreciated.

Sell them now for a cheaper price - get them free within the next months...=P hopfefully none of those titles will be in the free for gold members promo, especially if you decide to buy some of them =P

Is there any chance our On Demand games carry over to Xbox One?  I know they said no on the arcade games.  Am I being foolishly optimistic?  Also, will we still be able to party up with friends that are on 360 or will there be separate friends lists (that would suck)?

(Off topic, I know)

I still don't understand how that works-why isn't it like having an old pc game running on a new pc? Can someone explain or link WHY all these games simply cannot work with new hardware?
