ninja gaiden black is downloading 100% successfully now. i was worried it was going to be much longer before MS fixed it. 800 MS pts ($10)
Thats the best 800 points deal ever.
Thats the best 800 points deal ever.
even better when they refunded me when it wasn't working. now i can't "buy" it again because it's in my previous purchase history :applause: (kinda knew that would happen though:cool: )

Has anyone tried buying the Avengers Pinball table to get the xbox rewards offer yet? You know, the 200 back on an 800 point super hero purchase.

Love Civ Rev on 360. Highly recommend if you have contemplated trying out a strategy console game or Civ in general. I ended up getting it on iPhone and iPad, but 360 is my favorite way to play.

From the FAQ on Xbox Rewards:

What Superhero Marketplace items qualify for this offer? A. Qualifying Movies, Game Add-Ons and Avatar Items must be for the following eligible Superheroes:
 • Captain America
 • Spider-Man
 • Batman
 • Superman
 • Iron Man
So that's 2 out of 5.

I didn't know about this offer but I purchased it this week.
Hope I get some points back. :D

if anyone wants to add me for dungeon fighter, feel free. i don't think any of my friends are going to buy this. at least not until it goes on sale, lol.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how are you guys winning games like Splatters?
Two things that irritate me in Dungeon Fighter so far:
1- Your level caps at 20. I'm there now and I get no more XPs. I am wondering if they did this so they can sell some DLC later that increases the cap.
2- Be careful with your resurrection stones. I traded mine away for better weapons early in the game (a move I regret btw) and when I ran out I found out you had to buy them using MSPs. You cannot, as far as I can tell, find more in the game. They're cheap though. I bought 45 of them for 80 MSPs.

Eww...seems like this game is all about micro-transactions :(

Picked it up this morning. Now lets see if I can pull myself away from rainbow moon to play it.

I still have yet to see the screen to buy stones. Which seem more of a convenience than a necessity. From what I've read it's also the only thing sold for msp.

The game began as a free-to-play PC game, so yes, it was designed with micro transactions as the core method of earning money.

Got DF, add me guys (rpmboy)

I have'nt seen the stones, either.

Not really. The stones are the only things (so far) that you have to buy using MSPs. They are not necessary to play the game, but are convenient to have. The gear you can buy with them, I realized later, is pretty crappy. So it's definitely not a good idea to use them for buying stuff. The other function of the stones is that if you die you can get resurrected at the same spot instead of having to go back to town. The game is really pretty easy so unless you're reckless like me, you won't have too much issue with dying. It is a good idea to have a few in your inventory just in case though.

You buy them from Albert, the snooty kid on the second screen in town, west of the blacksmith. They're at the very bottom of the stuff he offers. Click on them and it'll take you to the xbox marketplace.

A quick question to anyone who used the Sales & Specials+ app to download a discounted game: some days ago I picked up Ms. Splosion Man and had to keep the app open all the time since the download stopped every time I went back to the dashboard.

Now, after I got the game and played with it a little bit, I noticed that it does show up in my download history but, when I browse for the game manually through the Marketplace, it appears as I never ever purchased it, asking me to buy it again for 800 MSP.

I'm worried that this may be due to the fact that I downloaded the game with a non-US/UK account, so I'd like to know if someone else with a "valid" account for the Sales & Specials+ app has bought something through it but keeps seeing the item as he never did...

I have no experience with getting stuff from this app, but are you sure you're using the right profile?

I mentioned this a few days ago. I bought Raskulls months ago yet in the sales app it was still giving me a prompt to purchase it (The South Park game that was in the sales app last week did this as well).

Don't sweat it, your cool. DLC like the Gears of War 3 Season Pass operate the same way and you can always redownload it through your purchase history.

The account I used to play the game is the same used to buy and download it from the app... problem is, it's an "unauthorized" account since that app is actually meant to be used by US/UK accounts but I've used it through my Italian account and a doubt struck me...

Thank you Strider, I read your post, but i think your situation is quite the opposite of mine: you bought Raskulls "regularly" through Marketplace but, while Ms. Splosion Man does show up in my purchase history, when I access it (both through the Dashboard and Xbox.com) the system prompts me to buy instead of showing the usual "already purchased" line like with all the other XBLA games I own.

Furthermore, the Sales & Specials+ app STILL gives me the option to buy Ms. Splosion Man AGAIN at a discounted price, even though I used the exact same application to purchase and download it! :whistle2:#

Anyway, maybe this is a temporary problem with the app and Marketplace not "synchronizing" purchases made on each other, but I wanted some more feedbacks to verify that this is not a problem tied to my "unorthodox" use of the Sales & Specials+ app... thank you all again :)

It's a known thing that the Sales & Specials+ App doesn't recognize purchases outside of it, so you need to be careful if you think you may have already purchased an item. It also adheres to in-game download rules in that you have to finish the download inside of the app and cannot background download that content.

They should fix this asap. I was really close to buy Pinball FX tables for second time. Thankfully saw the Speed Machine table in description and figured out i already own this pack.

I Just start the download via the app then exit out of it and go to my download history and download it again from there so I can do it in the background without being stuck on a screen.

Pretty sneaky sis..

From what I read here on this thread for Dungeon Fighter Live: Fall of Hendon Myre, it sounds like the XBLA version is restricted (only 3 classes, no female gunner, mage, priest, etc. along with a level cap at 20) and has more to offer potentially in DLC. It does put the thought into my head that "the last two games I wanted on XBLA are free titles which costs me a premium to play on my Xbox." Spelunky I was hotly anticipating until the 1200MSP made me wait for a sub-800MSP price point (I would have purchased at 800MSP, but now at 1200MSP, I'd still not bite if they discounted it down to 800MSP because it is somewhat a bit much to ask of me), and now Dungeon Fighter Live: Fall of Hendon Myre has the microtransaction shenanigans along with potential DLC which may cost to have features already on the free edition. I know, I know, I can play on PC, but I do enjoy gaining some achievements and I do still enjoy playing on my Xbox 360. I still bought Dungeon Fighter and I am enjoying it so far anyway ^^.

Speaking of achievements, the "Weekend Cheeve Challenge" surprised me since I actually purchased the other titles along with Dungeon Fighter! Now I have the problem of being a handsome genius North Korean dictator of being so ronery. Since I do not play as much Gears, Halo, nor Modern Battlefield as the rest of my friends list, I am stuck for Dungeon Fighter and Iron Brigade and the multiplayer achievements necessary for the playxbla challenge. I am seeking some help, but bear with me, I've never played Iron Brigade since it has been buried in my backlog from many sales ago; I will be godawful at the game.

I am quite glad the many daily sales of Games on Demand, the Sales & specials app, Deal of the Week, and many side sales has finally given what I always wanted for purchasing options for discounts on Xbox Live. Thanks to this thread, I can keep up with all the sale action. Also must give thanks to those who keep the OP updated, with all these offerings, I am sure it would have really stressed out reddjoey with his hectic schedule.

I gave Dungeon Fighter a try (downloaded the demo) and was not impressed. It just made me want ot go back and hook up my SNES and play some of the side-scroller beat'em ups. Hell, I'd rather go through and beat Guardian Heroes on XBLA instead. Just my opinion on it.

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about DFL yet. I 've played a little so far and Honestly all I want to do is go and play more Rainbow Moon. I know, I know, two completely different games. RM has really sucked me in though. great game for anyone with a PS3.

Around how long does it take to get to level 20 on Dungeon Fighter Live? I'm thinking of trying the cheeve challenge, but I'm not sure how long that one will take.

Rainbow Moon is excellent. I think Dungeon Fighter is a game most should wait on, especially if its going to be doing a lot of micro-transactions or pumping it with DLC.

As a huge fan of beat em ups, I gotta say Dungeon Fighters is sort of janky.

I also figured since they were charging money for a F2P game they would have the decency to get rid of the micro-transactions, but I guess not.

There are several better beat em ups on XBLA for the asking price.

It'll take quite a while. I'd say I have a good 4-5 hours, with a few master clears, and I'm mid level 6.

Also, as a lot have said, stones are the only micro, and they're not a necessity. You can use them for a revive mid level, or to buy legacy items from vendors. The legacy items can be obtained from random loot, and you're given stones. Not sure where they are obtained, but I had 20 when I first looked at the shop. Dlc, and more micro, is an assumption at best right now. They have announced nothing of future plans.

Guardian heroes has been on my list for a while, but the fact that you have to restart from scratch everytime you play kills it for me.

just trying to throw some info out there. I know not every game is for everybody.

Thanks bud. Maybe I'll pass on the Cheeve Challenge this week as well.

And I agree with you about Guardian Heroes. I hated that I couldn't keep my levels or anything, so I think I'll like Dungeon Fighter a lot more.

Yeah the game feels really stiff and i don't like it at all. Old game like Guardian Heroes blows this out the water.

Big beat-em-up fan here, too. Didn't much care for DFO on PC. Will try it on Xbox though. Did it finally come out? Did they move XBL wednesdays to Fridays?

And getting mad at Guardian Heroes for not saving your levels makes me upset. That's not the style it's going for. It's not the best beat-em-up ever by a long shot but it has a unique style to it.

Yeah this is really bs. I'm pretty sure I bought that damn table set twice by accident, assuming the app would know I already have it. This is really doing to suck for people like me, buying anything they want when it goes on sale for a good price, even if you have no intention of playing it within the next few months.

I'm buying the Harley's Revenge DLC for Arkham City to get that 200 points back. $7.50 sounds better than $10. I'm sure it will be on sale for $5 in the near future but I don't mind paying a tiny bit extra to play it now.

It took me close to 10-12 hours to do it I believe.

Why do we get the same DLC shit recycled again and again as a sale?

I've been waiting almost a year for games like RE4 HD to go
On sale and nothing...
