Well, this should at least add it to your download history, so even if it's a mistake, hopefully we can download it later. I tell ya, they really botched the release of this thing didn't they? lol

Its not showing in the DL history so I doubt it. It just says CAN'T DL DLC. All this excitement for nothing.

Huh, don't know if it's just a giant glitch for everyone or the beta update, but going to new releases for DLC and it seems alot of early DLC that shouldn't be out is out and available to download. Including RE6 stages, next weeks Rock Band DLC and plenty of others.

Must be fixed now because I just signed in and I don't see it.

As far as I can tell. Like I said, don't know if it's an everyone problem or if it's just a Dashboard beta thing, but I can get all the Expendables 2 DLC I want right now before the game is out. So, uh, yay?

And what yamayama said, checking it now and looks like they fixed it now.
Thanks for bumping my post in the rewards forums Tyler. I'm going to buy the game anyways since it goes to charity but it would have been nice to know if it counted towards the rewards so I could buy something else that's 800 or more MSP...
Just saw this reply on the Xbox forums:

Hey all! Thanks for your patience. Yes, Jeremy McGrath's Offroad Arcade Game is an eligible item. Cheers!

Looks like I'm going to pick up Jeremy McGrath's and Pinball FX2 core tables this month.
Looks like no achievements are added for cold stream for those that care. Like me.
Wasn't there only the one achievement on PC and it was just mainly there to promote the DLC itself?
Yes for completing the level.
In that case I wouldn't be surprised if there is no achievements for the DLC.

In retrospect the entire game (on sale) is cheaper than the lone DLC by itself and you get all the DLC packs with the PC version :)

Thanks for posting. My request (MLB Bobblehead Pros games) was also approved! :) I'm gonna make sure and take a screenshot in case that thread disappears.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up.

I hope they are compiling a new list of stuff since they took the old list down.

So do I. I was planning on MLB Bobblehead Pros, Golf: Tee It Up!, and either the 1st Minigolf game or the Bobblehead Pros DLC. Those other 2 games were on the original list so I'd assume they'd still count just fine.
Just downloaded cold stream form the downloads menu on left 4 dead 2. Also it's free :D It's a 1.34gb download. Don't know if it was supposed to be free or not but better download it now if it is a mistake.

Edit, It stops at 99% and says the download can't complete. :/ Guess we have to wait for it to work still.
Isn't that great? Give it free to the PC peeps, down with consoles! lol 560msp isn't that bad if you've missed both games. But still...
Well normally DLC with a price has achievements. Jus sayin!
this reminds me of Dead Island's Ryder White DLC Campign...no achievements as well!

So, I just picked up Dead Rising 2: Off the Record and was wondering, is the Gamebreaker Pack worth 400 msp? I love screwing around in DR so I think it might be. Anyone have any insight?

It's fun but it disables achievements.

No cheevos? That's fucking dumb. And yes, I will probablt pass on the DLC because of that.

Has there been any other paid DLC without cheevos/trophies besides this and the Assassin's Creed 2 DLC?

Also, what;s up with these "deals"? I sue that term loosely. So the same crap two weeks in a row? Can M$ get any lazier?

I give you a bronze star for this comment. :applause:

To answer the not dumb question, yes, there have been many DLC releases that don't include Achievements - Castlevania: HoD is just one example. They are far outweighed by DLC with Achievements, but not super unusual.

So...just checked the Chain Reaction page and different titles are listed. The "new" list is in order:

-80 MSP off the Gears 3 Kryll Shield Avatar prop
-160 MSP off Gears 3 Horde Command Pack
-240 MSP off Gears 3 Raam's Shadow
-600 MSP off Gears 3 Skins Launch Collection

Sorry if already posted.

Depends on how broadly you define DLC. The Ryder White DLC for Dead Island appears to fit with your examples, but there are other types of DLC where expectations may differ.

I'm not into fighting games, so I don't know if any fighters have achievements for DLC characters. I see SF x Tekken, KOF13, UMvC3 and Mortal Kombat are at the base 1,000 GS but have extra characters available for purchase. I wouldn't expect cosmetic stuff like costume swaps to have achievements, but adding achievements for new characters (clear single player, win X matches of multiplayer) shouldn't be difficult.

Map packs? A number of shooters add achievements for them, but Modern Warfare 1 & 2 and War for Cybertron did not.

Castlevania HoD was already mentioned, but Konami also went a similar route with Otomedius Excellent. There are extra characters and stages that could easily have had achievements, as well as music tracks (cosmetic).
That was the old reaction bro. I wonder when that mystery. Wheel shit starts?
Actually for whatever reason last months chain reaction is showing up for me as well when previously it had been this months.
I've enjoyed what I've played of Lara Croft: GOL. Can anyone recommend/not recommend the DLC based on that?

Thanks,

-B
I felt like Lara Croft: GOL was a pretty big game, and with a 2nd runthrough of almost every level to get all the extra collectibles, I had had my fill of the game. I skipped all the DLC based on that, and that the DLC has no achievements and are basically just challenge maps rather than new levels.

So after debating on weather or not to pick up Deadlight, I actually ended up winning a code through PlayXBLA. After just finishing it last night, I can honestly say I have no idea why people were complaining about everything after the first half an hour. The game was enjoyable for me the entire way through.

Now, could I recommend this to anyone for the 15 dollar asking price? Absolutely not. This game really should not be purchased for any more than 5 bucks in my mind. I beat it in under 2 hours with a 75% complete, and really have no desire to play through again for the last 25%. Not to mention the ending was so predictable, I honestly saw that coming from a mile away.

Still not as bad as everyone is making it out to seem.

Besides other pointed out, another one with paid dlc that had no achievements: Onechanbara. Although I'm sure my friend and I were 50% of the people that enjoyed that game lol.

does anyone think that we might get another price reduction or at least a sale of the Penny Arcade games with PAX coming up and the release of Rainslick 3?

I never got the chance to really try the older titles, im a huge fan of zeboyd games, and I hate playing anything out of order...

I remember when they came out they were 1600 pts, are they worth 1600 pts for both?

Im really hoping we get a reduction or a deal, and thought I might ask if anyone else is curious, hopeful, or knowledgeable of such things

They only seem to go on sale on PS3. They were $4 each on there at one point. And I think are still available in a bundle for $14 but I haven't checked lately

Yup changed back to the chain reaction from last month for some reason very strange..but now it recognizes again the 2 Gears DLCs hum

A bundle on the 360? Im not seeing one...

I wouldnt mind using a 1600 pts card for all 3, but i cant see buying 2 older games of a series for a price thats more expensive than the newest entry...

No the bundle is on PS3 as well. Like I said, they mostly only go on sale there. I have no clue why.

oh... well... i dont have a ps3 and i play games on the PC... hence why I asked in a XBL thread...:dunce:

To quote the great booker t....tell me you didn't just say that. that's like passing up on sonic and knuckles when it came out because the box wasn't as pretty as sonic 3's was.

i got it, it adds all of l4d1's campaigns and a bunch of other stuff to the game, seemed like a no brainer buy to me, many hours of extras added. definitely more worth it than the other 2 l4d2 DLCs, not that they weren't worth it too.
I would really like a sale on Risk: Factions, or maybe the Fallout DLC.

[Sarcastic]
Don't forget RDR, Borderlands, Bioshock and GTA4  I'm pretty sure I forgot one in this list...xp
