i bought burnout revenge on sunday, the only time i had trouble finding people online was like 10am on sunday morning lol. revenge is a very international game, it's incredibly easy to find people online. sure, when you search you probably won't find a game, that's because it takes 15 minutes to finish an event and you only find lobbies when events are done. so either search a few times or make a lobby, i gurantee it wont take more than a few minutes. good luck winning though lol! lots of shortcut pros online. i think lots of racing games are like that (primarily played overseas online), i remember playing speed devils online racing on dreamcast (best online racer ever) and around season 4 or 5 90% of the online people were from costa rica and such. of course that was well after the dreamcast was already dead lol.
 
I was looking to get Bully: Scholarship Edition for $14.99, but under my sales tab on the dashboard beta while it says "25% off" it still says the purchase price was $19.99. Didn't know if anyone else was running into this problem.
 
Got Bully some time ago for 8 bucks used...have yet to get back to this game meh..

Anyway I'll wait to buy ACR DLC until September to see what the rewards promotion will be...only have spent 1200 MSP this month but nothing sports related lol

That's Kind of weird to hear since it shows on the sales tab that the item is 25% off, so either the person was a little confused or they screwed the pooch there.....I know this has happened before (there were several items initially listed for the Square Enix sale that disappeared hours later), but that doesn't mean they shouldn't look into rectifying such acts in the future.

Not quite ... you got confirmation that the GFWL price didn't change, and that this person only knows that prices change when they're reflected on the Marketplace.

Several opinions here already about the game, so those won't be hard to find. Someone here complained that the 5 hours they spent on the 100+ levels were easy except for 1. But for a $5 platformer with a dozen different level mechanics & a Metacritic score of 77, it was a no-brainer purchase to me, even if it was a permanent markdown, rather than sale price.

Picked up El Diablo's 'merican Adventure for little more than the price of an Avatar T-shirt.

Also: After finishing Dust, I immediately went to the Twisted Pixel store and ordered a
Maw Plushie
. I've been putting it off for over a year now, but after seeing him again I couldn't resist having my favorite XBLA character any longer.

I agree if you really wanted to play it you would have by now over saving ~$5. Im all about getting games cheaper but if im anxious to play something Ill settle for around retail. Take the new ME3 Leviathan DLC as an example in my case or the new upcoming borderlands. I love the ME series so I already downloaded it and many here will say its overpriced. I bet you a year from now people are going to be complaining about a sale on it and get excited when its 160 ms pts cheaper (a whopping $2). I see so many people buying a bunch of garbage $1.99 games just because they basically want to "extend" their backlog since having a huge backlog is so cool on this site. I only buy what I actually play and want. Im not buying a game for $1 just because its cheap. Alot of people here are more collectors/hoarders than players.

And within 5 minutes Ill probably be quoted and hated on by these game hoarders.

Why are you guys assuming that any of us are waiting on Bully? Why on Earth would we wait 6 years for a $15 price tag on the 4th platform it's been released on?

isn't it kinda slimy that on the dashboard it says bully is 25% off, and if you click the add, it brings up bully on GOD for xbox with no discount (that happens sometimes but only cos the sale hasn't been updated yet, not because there is no sale). That seems pretty screwy to me as i don't remember it saying pc or anything on the dash, just a link to the $19.99 game -_-

Resident Evil 4 came out 7 years ago, is out on numerous platforms and people are still waiting for it to drop to a $15 (or less) pricetag.

Like Cornelius said, the guys at MS support know less than most of us when it comes to the sales. If it's on the Xbox dashboard, it was scheduled to be on sale. Whether or not the price reduction actually goes through is what we'll have to wait and see...

Also, it's not on sale on PC. $14.99 is the regular price.

That's true I guess, but RE4 has only been available on Xbox 360 for less than a year, Bully has been out for several.

I dunno, somebody prove me wrong. Has anyone here actively been waiting for a price drop on Bully on GoD? (I actually didn't even know it was on GoD until today.)
 
I think everyone was discussing Bully because of the whole 25% off fiasco. We're waiting for it to drop to $15 for this sale, not just in general.
 
I'll buy pretty much anything (except the Path of Go) at 200 points ($2.50). And yeah, Case Zero is worth that easily, even if you don't like Dead Rising, which I don't really.

Definitely yes. If you have any interest in Dead Rising, get them. I got both of them when they released and they are great fun. Case Zero has a small map but it is still fun.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I Hate Dead Rising 2. From the annoying boss battles with cheap attacks and random invincible attacks to the mission structure, it doesn't age well. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero was the perfect length for a DR game without it getting annoying. The game will take you 2-3 hours tops to 100% 200/200 cheevo it and was just enough to quench zombie kill length, plus it's cheap.

Otherwise if you like the DR series, then what's stopping you?

I haven't played DR2, but what you said pretty much applies to DR1 as well. And I hated DR1.

Like you say, Case Zero is about 3 hours, and that is about the perfect length for a DR game.

you aren't "saving" money if the game is just thrown to the bottom of a huge backlog which more than likely will never be played, i'd say if your backlog is more than 5 games you are a hoarder

Yeah, Dead Rising 2 was such a small miniscule step up over Dead Rising 1 that it almost seems insulting to put a number at the end of it. You now have THREE save slots and can now combine certain weapons to make new weapons were the only changes to gameplay. Once you get past the novelty of a ton of zombies on screen to kill and a variety of weapons you're left with a game with problematic controls and frustrating recycled tasks, which both games seem to consist of.

That was actually small bit of sarcasm in there if you type in that link. Though there are other sites, but just know that this and other "deal" sites are in constant war at one another. Mostly because one hoards more then the other, but all are guilty of hoarding games to flip in anycase.

Plus, uh, why are you asking this in the XBox Live Arcade thread as opposed to request deal thread or whatever?

There's nothing wrong with this site. I recently started using this site as my more source of information. It's the best from what I've seen.
