There's a new set on sale starting this week, including the GH3 DragonForce pack, one of the Nirvana packs, and two of the more recent Metal packs (The one with Twilight of the Thundergod in it, and then the Rocktober pack from last year which was free for a time). That's all I saw scrolling through the database site anyway, there may be more.
Where do you see the sale and prices for these tracks? Thanks.

Does Blacklight: Tango Down have anything that can be done just single player? Like bot matches, or I see there are some Spec Ops missions, can those be done in single player?

Thanks.
I didn't really like Jade Empire as compared to KotOR 1 and 2... those arent available though. Never played Stubbs either.

I wouldnt mind owning GTA:SA after playing GTA4... man I hated GTA4 :/
I bought GTA:SA couple months ago when it was on sale. Its still as good as you remember. I don't agree about GTAIV, but that's not important. The only thing I hate about Xbox Originals is the fact that they completely log you out of XBL. You can't chat our do anything while playing them.

Also you should play Stubbs, it is an awesome game.

It is pretty much 100% online achievements. I only have 5/200 in it lol...

So basically only buy it if you know other people who are buying it too.

Thanks Yama. I won't even bother with the trial then.
That's pretty funny, it shows how much we rely on your site to figure out what drops in price. I, too, thought that they were all price drops from today.
:D How has the site been today? I upgraded hosting, and it's a pretty penny. Please tell me it was worth it.

Yeah I like the layout quite a bit more, and yes it's definitely faster.

Also, if you guys have a few extra bucks, donate to xbldb. A lot of us use the site and it's saved a lot of us a lot of money. :)

Thanks for linking to that, I could never have plugged myself.

I didn't feel right about asking for donations in the first place, but I the site was becoming unusable, 500 errors and 10 second page loads, 30 in the worst case.

I can handle the new expense for a while but I know I can't keep up long term. Maybe as the site grows the ads will start to pay off. They had been paying for my shared hosting.

I don't expect anyone to donate but it would be very much appreciated.

Does Paypal really take fees from donations to your site?

Anyways, I sent you a couple bucks, but if you really are getting hit with fees let me know, and next time I have a few bucks to send your way I'll just gift it to you.
So Stubbs, Dreamfall, and Burnout 3 are the only 3 Xbox Originals still listed as 1200 points on xbldb. It doesn't say they were delisted but none of the xbox.com links work.
Stubbs has apparently been completely delisted from Xbox.com

Dreamfall is still on the site but there's not a way to buy it - Link

Burnout 3 dropped to 800 back in July but buying it has since been disabled - Link

Additionally. . .

Destroy All Humans! is still up with no way to download - Link

And GTA: San Andreas still shows as 1200 for me - Link

Damn it! I like the sound of the Nirvana and Dragonforce packs - yes, even if Dragonforce is for GH3 :p - but there were a few things I wouldn't have minded out of the last batch, and I always want DJ Hero content on sale. I hope they keep their biweekly sale method going, since they've got a few exclusive songs I wouldn't mind. And if anyone at HMX is reading this - bring your huge catalog sale back around the holidays and I can guarantee you a fat chunk of change.

Yes they take a fee for donations. They also made me promise not to ask for gifts or they can take away the donation capability. ;)

I appreciate the donation. I'll send you an email when I get the ad free functionality working to give you the ad free experience I promised.

Oh wow, good ole Paypal.
Is Crysis a one day only sale or all week?
It should be all week, the dash does not say anything about a one day sale.

I hate to rehash the whole Crysis conversation that took place in this thread when the game first hit the marketplace, but as someone who didn't finish Crysis 2 because he lost interest, is the first game going to be worth my time and money? I also have a backlog of 4-5 other shooters (in first and third person) vying for my attention.

Is any of the FFXXIII-2DLC worth a damn? The Lightning and Zazh packs look like actual content. The Snow one sounds dumb, but maybe they are all dumb? Are the boss battles anything? Everything else just seems like insane visual junk.

is xbox.com being crazy for anyone else? I'm constantly getting signed out and told "don't try signing in for a while so we can try to fix a problem." I can be browsing the marketplace, messaging someone, or just trying to view my activity. Is it just me?

If you beat the bosses/characters, you can recruit them to your party like the other monsters....assuming you get lucky & get the gem after beating them. Though as for how well they are in aiding you in battle, I have no idea since by the time these came out, I had 100%'d the game on 360 (rebought it on PS3, might get some of the stuff on sale).

Crysis for ten. Sweet!!!!!!! Even though I plan on building a PC soon, I won't pass this deal up.

Edit: dang...just added 800 points and accidentally purchased on the site for the dollar amount....well I will use those points eventually.

Xbox.com has been sucking ass for at least 2 weeks for me. Randomly giving me the error you mentioned as well as one other one. And then not letting me queue up things (namely the RE6 demo) either.

Darn, I thought the FF sale was going to be on the actual GoD for some reason and was hoping it would be cheap.

Crysis is a tough call for me. I hate FPS's most of the time but Crysis 2 was the last one I actually finished. But going back to the first game after playing the sequel rarely pans out, especially when you don't even really enjoy the genre much.
I already have big surf from a few years ago, is there anyway that I'm eligible to continue to chain 2 and 3 and 4?
Follow the process as if you are purchasing the content again and it should say you have purchased this before and download it again and it should work....I think, worth a shot

If I was only going to get one of the FF XIII-2 dlc packs, which one is the best of the group?

My gut instinct is to buy the Lightning dlc pack since she's the star of the next game, unless folks here tell me differently?

It's a great shooter for $10. It's only available digitally via Games on Demand. I don't know if you can count on it going lower.
Mostly disappointing reviews for "Hell Yah" so far. 65% Metacritic score.
Game Informer loved it and Gamespot hated it. Not that that's too surprising, as Game Informer loves almost everything and Gamespot hates almost everything.
Mostly disappointing reviews for "Hell Yah" so far. 65% Metacritic score.
I'm surprised. I saw not one thing wrong with it, but I did only play for an hour or so. The unique minigames you get when you kill each of the 100 bosses are a cool and hilarious (not to mention bloody) touch. Kind of like mixing SOTN with Rhythm Heaven or Wario Ware.
I would say both of the Lightning themed DLCs are worthwhile. The weapons and costumes are down to your aesthetic preference. Like you said none of the DLC adds achievements or makes the game particularly easier or anything like that.

Of the Coliseum DLC, Lightning/Amodar is nice because you can beat it 1/2 or 2/3 of the way through the story and get the characters and actually use them. With most of the others you're going to need a fully-powered up party before you can even win the fight, so once you get the monster, there's nothing left to do with them.
Just the Lightning DLC? I was planning on getting all three of the main ones. Can anyone comment on the Snow and Sazh ones?

And is the Lightning/Amodar one really the only one you can play before the end of the game? I figured a couple would be like that but not 5 of 6.

I've been playing it for about two hours myself now. At first the game doesn't seem all that fun, but I have not stopped laughing at how literally insane and hilarious the "deaths" are in this game. The platforming and everything else grow on you, but the humor is spot-on and the mini-games you play and death animations are just beyond anything I've ever seen. Not to mention all of the references to other games, my favorite beings "ROASTED!".

I'm not all that far, granted, so it might get old, but I'm rather enjoying it so-far. The "Island" is also a rather cool concept. Every enemy you kill goes there and basically turns it in to a Kefling-like game.

oh cool so the nlf was a typo and it was nfl. i assume they will be adding more to each team because right now its only a jersey and football moves. some teams only got football moves and some teams only show up in the lifestyle section by themselves. wish you could change the numbers on the jerseys. they look so dumb with just the number 1

I bought the Snow one because I only had 170MSP and didn't want to bother buying more. From what I've heard the Lightning one is the best, the Snow one is okay and the Sazh one is pretty crap. I've heard the Sazh one take less than an hour and isn't even very good.

I'd be interested in getting the outfits perhaps if they were a bit cheaper, but it's not worth the cost for something that's only aesthetic and adds nothing really to the game.

Awww shoot, the OP exceeded 100,000 chars due to the Harmonix / FF13-X2 sales!

The section that was the old deals & markdowns is pasted here for safe keeping, and cleared from the OP ...

    Offer 4 - Full House Poker - 400 Microsoft Points - 50% off *

    * = My gawd, this app sucks! I'm already the proud owner of all 4 items, and it's currently showing Uno available to purchase (but won't let me purchase), RISK Factions is locked (and not purchased), Carcassonne is locked (and not purchased), and Full House Poker is available to purchase, shows as purchased, but then will still allow it to be purchased for 400 MSP! Until this PoS is finally fixed by Xbox Live Arcade Marketing, stay out of the Chain Reaction section, as if you're not scared away already by games that won't show as purchased after downloading! :whistle2:(
Game Informer loved it and Gamespot hated it. Not that that's too surprising, as Game Informer loves almost everything and Gamespot hates almost everything.
That's bullshit. Gamespot will love anything you tell them to if you buy enough ad space. They'll even fire their own staff if someone thinks otherwise. How is that not love?!
