XBLA - Puzzle Quest - Now 800pts

Finally! I've been waiting for this. After playing the PC Demo I picked up the DS version and was disappointed with the graphics which they could've done better with.
damn $15 FTL
yeah, a cheaper price for a game in HD with more features than its portable counterparts. what a rip

Could somebody convince me to get this on XBLA instead of DS for a $5 difference considering I would probably play the DS version more? Thanks in advance.

no. what a dumb question. you're going to play the ds version more :dunce:

Nope, you'll actually own a copy of the game for the ds, rather than a license that turns into a pain if you ever get the ring of death

this is a good alternative if you're not able to get this for PSP or DS. It's also coming out for the Wii and PS2 early next year.

You don't have to use the touchscreen to play the XBLA version. That's pretty much why I'm going with the XBLA version. However, the news about the PS2 port is intriguing. Off to do research.

EDIT - Hmmm... PS2 version comes out in November at 19.99. Decisions, decisions.

Oh man, I just tried the PC demo and DO WANT. Glad I didn't really pay much attention to this game until just recently, or waiting for its release might have been a real pain.

Now, to wait until Oct. 10.

Might as well go with the xbox 360 version.

Will be fun on 360, but there's no need to buy another copy of puzzle quest. The best thing about the game is it's portability IMO. Even though it would be nice to have on the 360, I'll keep my DS version.

Oh, AWESOME.
Attention everyone: If you are not interested in this game, that is fine. However, please do not make references that this game costs too much. For $15 you really are getting A LOT here. The story mode is fairly long, there are PLENTY of sidequests to do, it's an RPG game so leveling up your character/learning moves is always fun, you get to create weapons, you get to capture animals and ride them (LOL), AND splitscreen VS, AND online Vs?!

I feel that the $30 I paid for my DS was great. This is $15 cheaper AND you get online. :applause: Love this game, sorry

Why are people bitching about it being $15.00!? It was fucking $30.00 for the DS, and it didn't even have online multiplayer.

I can't believe it's coming out soon, when the developer was on GameSpot whispering and putting one finger up... I figured one month, not one week.

Depending on how much I wind up liking the XBLA version, I might get the PS2 one as well. I've been playing tons of Picross DS lately and have really been in a puzzle game mood. This should be a blast.

Wish Dashboard themes was still up..ugh

Any site(s) people know of to preview themes AND pics? I'd love to see the PQ theme. (Since Eternal Sonata decides to have 3 picture packs, and yet no theme)
can't you ride a spider in this game? that's good if true.
 yes
and a rat :D

I think the only reason we complain (I say we because I could be grouped into that category) is because we're spoiled by (the common) $5 and $10 games. $15 is a good deal when you sit back and look at it. So I guess I'll see you online.

I'll give people this though: $15 is a lot of money for a game download in general. $10 even pushes it, too. When you think of a game download and say $15.. "Eww" is what usually comes to mind. But in this case it's "Ewww..oh wait" because the $15 IS justified.

See you online :)

I agree. I said to myself "$15 is a lot..." followed by "... BUT it's Puzzle Quest!"

I downloaded this tonight. Had to buy some more Microsoft points and ended up with twice as many as I wanted to buy since it said the first transaction wasn't verified. I'm annoyed.

On the plus side, I am enjoying Puzzle Quest.

Bought it. Good stuff-- pretty much identical to the PSP version.

Ya know what? Call me crazy but can you guess what the selling point of this game is, to me at least?
Playing on the TV is nice, as puzzle games with a bigger screen is better. But no.
Playing split screen against a friend is fun, however..that's not it.
The online vs is awesome AND it's even more awesome because you still gain gold & EXP while playing online matches. THAT was unexpected and very welcomed. But that's not it.

It's the fuckin rumble!!! It's so awesome when you pull off a really good chain and your controller feels like an out of control sex toy (ONLY if this was the Wii version :lol)...it just makes this game that more intense.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this game!!

Man, I never played this on my DS or PSP (Used to have time at work to do so, now I don't :( ). Played the demo for about 45 minutes last night. Clutch stuff. I'm wondering if I should pick it up here or go and get the DS (Or PSP?) Version instead.

Seems like the ultimate portable game.

I have the DS version. I personally think owning a portable version AND this version (or for the upcoming Wii or PS2) is ok. It's nice playing on the TV, using the controller..RUMBLE!

I also just played this for the first time and I am addictied (even though I lost to the knight). Can you buy MS points directly to your console over XBL or do you have to actually buy a card in a sotre, because I do not have enough points and I want to play the full game NOW!

You can purchase points directly though XBLM, just requires a credit card.

I have the DS version and have already beaten it (got a lvl. 49 knight), but it's kinda tempting to buy it on XBLA for online play and achievements. How far does the demo go? I only played the practice dummy and the battle after that, but from what I played it's awesome.

Level 7, no saving.

Wow. I didnt want to like this but I played the demo and its damn good. Best 1200 pts Ive spent so far. (there goes the points I got off of smarter child)

And to make this even easier, you can go to xbox.com and log into your account and buy them there so you can use a keyboard.

The game should have been called Puzzle Crack, as there is pretty much no quitting once you start. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that one of the best experiences I have had on the 360 is with an arcade game.

On a side note, I suck against the rune guardians. I don't know if it is because I am challenging them early on in the game, but I get wiped across the floor when battling them.

Just found it, thanks for the information!
