Update 3/17 - Expansion Pack DLC Coming This Spring:

Now publisher D3 has announced that the game will soon be getting what it calls a "tremendous amount" of new content by way of an upcoming downloadable expansion. There's just one problem -- it needs a name.

The add-on, which promises a new villain in Antharg, the Lord of Plague, as well as new spells, items, and quests on top of four new hero professions (Bard, Rogue, Ranger and Warlock), is currently being dubbed " Puzzle Quest: 1.5," but that name is hardly appropriate. To this end, D3 is calling for players to submit name suggestions on the official Puzzle Quest website starting today at noon through Friday, March 21. Once a name has been decided, the expansion will be made available this spring over Xbox Live.
I think I am still going to get it on DS instead.
yeah. Puzzle games are a perfect fit for the DS. Not to mention it has a resale value.
I'd consider double-dipping on this. If they announce it for the PSN, I'll definitely buy that version.
I think I might double-dip on this one as well, mainly because I can always take the DS version with me. :D

Anytime I can buy a physical copy, and get a good deal on it, I'll take that over some shitty liscenced digital copy I won't even technically own.

This game has been taking up a lot of my gaming time recently. It is oddly addicting as fuck. If this version has some sort of online multiplayer consider me in.

I enjoyed the PC demo, unfortunately it's a demo for a non-existent product. I may get the DS version, I don't know. I've heard that it's not the best of the versions by far but I don't remember the specific complaints.

fuck yeah!!!!!!

I bought the DS version, but who cares! I'm DEF getting this one!!!!!
...Wonder what kind of achievements it'll have?

At least now I know not to buy the PSP version LOL

this is awesome news! hopefully they up the visuals in HD and add some new special effects. that'd be great.

To those who have some experience with the game: would you say that it benefits from touch-screen control? I'm really curious about this game and now I have a couple of options to consider. So far I'm leaning towards DS just for the portability factor (I don't have a PSP).

The game is the same as Bejeweled, so yes, it benefits from touch-screen.

Not sure if I could double dip on this after all the work I've put into the DS version. I'd hate having to capture and relearn all the spells I have again...

I'm going to have to install a toilet in my living room so that I can recreate all the fun I've had with the DS version. I absolutely love this game and will support it on any platform it comes out on.

This game has me flipping off my DS one minute and then the next I'm retrying that same battle that frustrated me so badly and getting joyous victory. It's the perfect I hate you/I love you game.

Uh... can you say holy shit?
HOLY SHIT!!!!!
I can't believe this is coming to XBLA. I was just about to go hunting for a DS version, but now I might have to wait and shell out 1600+ points for this shit. Whoa. Maybe I should get both???

Yup :)

I just got an e-mail from XBLA...I saw that the price for Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is 1200 pts.

I haven't heard any announcements if it's going to be released tomorrow, but that is now the price for that game.

If it's really good, then I'll buy it for that much...

yea, got the email too. 1200 points is $15 right? that's a good price compared to all the other versions.

Yea it's $15...

80 points=$1

That kinda sucks. I don't like the idea of paying more than 800 for any game. I'll almost certainly bite for 1200 because I've wanted to play, but that sucks that they would charge so much.

1200 seems like a great price to me if that includes everything that is in the portable versions currently. I kept thinking they would butcher this like Lumines by making the user buy different packs to be able to play the full game.

1,200, I'm definitely picking it up(never played it). But the question is when the heck is it coming out? This weeks XBLA game is Geon: Emotional tickle(800 points).

1200 isn't that bad, since the Wii version will be $30, like the DS & PSP version. So, it's actually a deal.. essentially :)

So, since they had it in that email, this will probably be out this week, eh?

1200 sounds about right to me. This has online play too, right?

Does this game have multiplayer? I'm still wondering which version I should go for. I may as well wait until the XBLA version comes out and get people's impressions.

I wont pay 1200 points to rent a Live game. At least with the DS or PSP you actually own the game. 1200 points is a rip for any Live title.

Wow, it only took forever to come out. Some summer release that was . Been hearing a bunch of great things from a friend so can't wait.

Yes! As if I needed another great game to be addicted to. 1200 is a bit steep, but hopefully it has online play. and I have a shitload of CC points still, so w/e. :)

QFT. This and Orange Box next week FTW!
This game will be Wed's XBLA title of the week:

WTF is this game about anyway?
Bejewled with RPG elements.
It's SO fun and addicting. I have it for DS and I'm probably going to get it. Is this game going to be on Live? If not..then.. yikes :(

That's the PC demo. Why don't you give it a try? I was HOOKED to this until I made myself go out and buy the DS version months ago when it came out.

Or, just wait until Wednesday and download the 360 demo

But seriously, if you don't have anything to do... dl the PC demo tonight!!

Thanks...just tried it out, seems like a pretty good game. I'll most likely get it now.

It's very much worth the $15, especially if it has online multiplayer. Now I just want to see the achievements..

What you mean renting a XBLA game? Anything that you DL in the Marketplace are yours to keep (except Movies) and will be binded to your account if you need to DL it again.

Plus, you can try the game out for free...sure it won't have the full functionality of the game but if you like it and worth it, then you can buy for the 1200 points.

Damn this game, I said I was not going to buy anymore games for awhile. After about 30 minutes with the PC demo, I must get this game. Plus it seems I should be able to get all 200/200

Now I have to buy a point card :(
