I don't really understand all the extreme negativity for Daggerdale. I did the free thing last night and played it for a bit. Perhaps I'm not far enough into the game to see all of the crippling glitches we've all heard about and I've only done single player but I'm having fun with it. The visual style is a bit bland, the gameplay isn't very original, and it isn't going to make you a fan of the genre but it seems like decent fun for those who like isometric RPGs as much as I do.

It certainly isn't as compelling as something like Torchlight but I'm glad I have it. I may not spend an extreme amount of time with this game but I wouldn't have felt terribly ripped off even if I had paid 600 points for it.

Prior to the patch (haven't played since launch), Daggerdale would randomly delete all of your characters gear and skills. Also, getting suck in walls, enemies getting stuck in walls, etc. TONS of bugs that should have been ironed out in a pre-alpha version.

There is a reason the company that made it went belly up as soon as this was released.

They patched the game recently which fixes most of the bugs (or so I';ve read). It wasn't an actual patch as they replaced the entire client so those that had previously downloaded it have to do so again.

Free is the right price for me...

Oh totally, I was in for one.

But I still feel bad for my friend who bought it on release so 3 friends could play it local, because it really was unplayable.

I was planning on getting it at release as well but thankfully the bug reports started coming in almost immediately. I decided to wait for the patch and a sale.

Looking forward to next weeks (or two weeks) sales. Hopefully we'll get a good XBLA game this week, too.

Plus, I just couldn't stand this thread going all the way to page three. ;)

It is? Sweet! I always lose track of when the holidays are. Made sure not to miss Yom Kippur as always. Can't miss those High Holidays. It starts on the 20th for those that forget like I do. I had to look it up.
Ditto. I don't understand why the publishers don't advertise the delistings. "Get this in the next 7 days, before it disappears" is sure to get a few extra sales. Putting it on discount would get even more. From reviews, this game probably wasn't even worth $5, so it's no major loss. But still, I would have heavily considered it at $5, knowing it was going away.
Sorry to resurrect an old question ... but basically if you're shutting doors & there's any possibility of IP transfer between parties (such as to your creditors), you're basically barred from doing "anything" that might adversely affect your buyout price ... including sales, inventory blowouts, or staffing changes.
If we're getting an equivalent to the 12(?) days of Christmas promo last year, they sure are putting it off to the last possible moment.
I think its a countdown to New Years sale, not a 12 days of Xmas sale. We'll probably find out tomorrow.

You're probably right, none of us know what's going on behind the scenes at these companies, we just like to speculate.

Pulled the trigger on Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, even though it will probably be on a deeper discount at the end of the year, and wow it's good. Very addicting gameplay so far. Finished one of the 5 campaigns in one sitting (~5 hours), which is rare for me with two kids.

The following Xbox LIVE Arcade content will be released this Wednesday December 14th:

Orcs Must Die! Lost Adventures Add-on 320 MSP
PBFX2 – Marvel Vengeance and Virtue Table Pack Add-on 800 MSP
Joe Danger: Special Edition Game 1200 MSP
Fruit Ninja Kinect – Holiday Pack Add-on Free
Magic the Gathering 2012: Deck Expansion Pack 2 Add-on 240 MSP
The Gunstringer – Real Big Shootin’ Add-on 240 MSP

Joe Danger is worth the full 1200 IMO, if it is the same quality as the PSN edition anyhow. I assume its a direct port, probably with a few additions. If so, an easy purchase for anyone that has an interest in it.

Thanks for the info!! I'll snag the Fruit Ninja pack since it's free(even though I don't have it yet). The pinball tables, Gunstringer dlc and Joe Danger look great, but I'll wait for a sale on each of those.......can't wait to play the RAAM dlc that gets released tomorrow!!!

Man deck expansion #2 WTF. How about a new dlc that achievements, more challenges, and new decks for 400 instead of this bullshit. Im still kicking myself for buying the first one, but im a big magic fan (xbox form only).
This makes me sad. It's a brawler I was hoping would eventually go on sale. Ah well.

Edit: Did the Minecraft "free" link disappear? Obviously it was JUST the preview video and not the game, but still a random disappearance.
Sorry, I removed it because it wasnt actually the game.
This makes me sad. It's a brawler I was hoping would eventually go on sale. Ah well.
Lucha Fury was almost universally reviled, even by brawler fans. While it's always sad to see a game pulled, it may be for the best in this case.

Won a code for Lucha Fury ages ago, still haven't played it. Heard it was pretty poor though.

I too will be waiting for a sale on Joe Danger. Releasing a game for 1200 this close to the Xmas sales? Suicide.
No Sonic CD, thats disappointing.
It should be soon. According to Sony, it's coming out on PSN this Wednesday (though PSN updates on Tuesdays. Weird.), meaning we should hear from Sega on a XBLA date (& price) soon, seeing as most of Sega's downloadable games are released at the same time.
No Sonic CD, thats dissapointing.

Joe Danger will be a "wait for a sale" game by the look of it.
Definitely my recommendation on Joe Danger. I found it to be repetitive and had to force myself through the last few levels. I was really disappointed, considering that at the time it was one of PSN's landmark exclusives.

Rabid beat-em-up fanboy here. Lucha Fury was a beautiful pile of crap. It should not have been released, an insult to the great art team with utterly abysmal gameplay.

Man, cant wait for Sonic CD. Just realized i STILL had my old CD-Rom version that i used to play when i was a kid, the nostalgia nearly blew my pants off.

Still love that theme song

I am strangely excited for the free Fruit Ninja add-on. I really like that game. As for the sale, I'm really hoping to see Bastion go on sale sometime between now and the end of the year.

Hey i thought we had an xbox rewards page but didn't see it when i searched, I have 960 on my rewards page, which is from as far back as March, does that reset as it's added into my ms points or do I have to do something because I swear I haven't seen my points go up except when I use a code? Any help because if i am entitled to those for points I'll wet myself.

Just to add to the thread though, I wish they would at least do that spend 2400 get 800 back they did some time back. At least then you could pick up 3 800 point games you thought had no chance of going on sale and get to of them for 400 points. That's what I did and only 1 of the 3 did go on sale since then. That was just after Scott Pilgrim came out because I remember thinking how stupid some people were to get that for 800 points because you knew that was going to go on sale, at least twice I know for sure.

Otherwise there are literally hundreds of games left to put on sale, come on developers, who the hell is buying Roogoo that the developers can't put it on sale. Roogoo, have you even heard of it? Seriously Roogoo, look it up it's a real game. I mean you can get retail games for $5 within a year or two, who would pay 800 points for Roogoo.

The post you're looking for is here - http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=292253 :)
I think that large total points on your rewards page is your accumulated all time point rewards earning that never resets, but I could be wrong. An easy way to check and see if points have been added to your account is billing.microsoft.com; usually rewards points come in automatically around the 15th of the month and always in amounts of at least 100. I hope that helps somewhat!

It would be nice to see Orcs Must Die! on sale soon, especially with the DLC coming. I was on the fence about paying full price for it today until I saw it was 1,200. I thought it was 800 at release. Steam destroying the MSRP with 75% off and free DLC doesn't help either.

Minute one purchase for MV&VPB&JFX2+ tables.

Since we still don't know what's going on sale yet I'm going to rightly assume it's Bastion because I really, really want it. So, yep, Bastion's on sale. Tomorrow.

Bastion. On sale. Tomorrow.

...Please?

I'm with you on that one, man.

Im going to go against the grain here and hope for bastion to not go on sale until closer to end of december for 400 MSP =D

Would love to see braid and pacman ce dx.
Don't wait for Bastion to go on sale, go buy it now. Seriously. It's worth it. Plus, cheap DLC in a couple days. Do it. Fur Reels.
