I agree that it is a bit lame that it is The Passing that is on sale and not The Sacrifice at all. I have been waiting for The Sacrifice to go on sale and it looks like I will continue waiting...

DR2 Case West seems like a great deal, except for the fact that I bought Case Zero the day it came out and am yet to even play that...

Looks like I will finally be saving some MS points this week seeing as neither the new XBLA releases nor the DotW intrigues me.

I think the bigger issue regarding L4D was that the DLC was ever given a price at all. Yes I'm still bitter.
 
I almost bought Stubbs the Zombie from Steam during their sale, but the impressions I got was that it's hard as hell to make it run on modern systems, so perhaps this will be a much easier time - for the right price.

The only thing that bothers me is that everyone jumps to Valve's side and says "Oh, Microsoft forces them to charge for DLC" but instead of charging 80 points or even 400 points they charge 560 points. Thanks alot jerks.

Truth is that I have still purchased all the DLC, because I really enjoyed the games with my wife, but I wish Valve would just tell the truth about the DLC situation on the 360.

edit: On topic, the only thing I was considering was Case West, but 400 points is too rich for my blood.

I haven't played ME2 since "Kasumi - Stolen Memory". However, in my defense, I prefer to wait until I have all DLC for a game and then marathon my way through it.

Seriously, WHO doesn't have Undead Nightmare at this point? If you even remotely enjoyed RDR OR Zombies you bought it during one of the numerous other times it's already been on sale.

I grabbed the Passing the last few times it was on sale, grabbed Case West the first time (and at the same price, no less)... Undead I have in disc form, so I guess I'll grab Twin Blades because I like the art style. I hope I'll play it, but yes--- lack of GS does hurt the indies games no matter how polished.

Maybe it's time for MS to re-examine the caps. Maybe Arcade games should be 400-500gs (they're averaging 15-20$ anyway) and Indie Games could be 200?
 
It looks like I'm saving my MS points, I have everything I need. Not to mention I'll definitely pass on any Indie game that ever goes on sale.
 
I also have Twin Blades on Windows Phone 7. Can't beat the second boss due to the lousy on screen control stick. I almost want to buy this Indie version to see if I can actually beat the second boss with real controls. If I can't, than I just suck. :)
 
If you're one of those people who doesn't like Dead Rising because you get frustrated by the time mechanic and escorting, you may like Case West. It takes place in one big facility and there's plenty of time to get from place to place while murdering tons of zombies in the process. I found myself killing time much more than I had in any previous DR game. There's no survivor escort either. You just have to find them and they get themselves out of the facility.

Its much longer than Case 0. It takes place directly after Dead Rising 2 (IIRC, uses ending A, not S). It also ties together 1 & 2. If you've played & beaten both DR's, then you should definitely get this one, especially at this price. I got it when it was DotW 2 months ago, and thought it was definitely worth it.
If you haven't beaten DR1, then the story might have minor spoilers, or make less sense to you.

That's because they have like 4-5 zombie sales a year, and instead of offering new content on sale, they offer the same older shit over and over again.
Next week's DotW will probably be Lara Croft GoL again.
 
Come on MS, you can do better than that... if you are going to repeat a deal, make it cheaper the second time.

I think it's a new MS rule to only have 1 decent DotW every month.
 
Is it just me, or is the panel from the dashboard showing all the deals going on gone? I looked for it earlier today & I couldn't find it.
 
I don't mind that they repeat sale items now and then, since not everybody jumps on a deal when it happens. This is still pretty weak for a zombie-themed sale, however.

I'm trying to redeem a 4000 points card but keeps me giving errors on both my Dashboard and Marketplace.Xbox.com

I was not a fan of Case West. I didn't really like playing in a military base. It didn't feel right.

I guess it's okay at 400 MSP (I think that's what I paid for it), but I liked Case Zero better despite being shorter.

Huge amounts of meh at MN's blog post. This GTA4 content has surely already been bought by pretty much everyone and even then, it was the same price before! Should have just seen a permanent price drop ages ago...

I've been getting that error for over a month now. Got a 400 point bing code and a 1600 point code that it won't accept. I need to call ms support but haven't gotten around to it
 
So Undead Nightmare is on sale for what feels like the 10th time already the past 6 months, and now GTA4 stuff is the same. What's next, Risk Factions?

(for you guys unable to redeem points, did you do the Jack Links promo thing for the months of Live? People were getting their accounts frozen over that one)

Agreed, these sales are getting weak. As soon as I saw the title "zombies" in the thread I knew what was going to be on sale... perhaps because it was the same stuff on sale. At least Crash Course for L4D was on sale. Why not just put all the L4D DLC on sale at the same time? If you're going to have a sale like "zombies" just put all zombie-related stuff on sale. There's no need to really half-ass it, right?

I bought Case West at full price to play with a friend and I have to say I was mildly disappointed. As much fun as it is to run around as the two DR protagonists, as someone else said the setting feels wrong. It's also cheap as hell having most of your enemies carrying high-powered machine guns and shooting you from up above. I spent most of the time running for cover and ignoring zombies. It gets worse once you meet the guys who look like Big Daddys.

San Andreas and Halo have both been on sale for 400 points during a holiday sale last year. I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

This. You guys can get off your fucking high horses. There is nothing wrong with wanting achievements for playing Xbox games. There is no reason why indie games can't have them other than there would be idiots that just give you gamerscore for starting up the game but is that really any different than retail games like Avatar? I haven't played anything just for gamerscore and I never will.

Aren't they also published as a disc?

Can't that disc already be found for under $15?

Edit: I realize this is the internet and rhetorical questions are often seen as real ones. The Episodes Disc dropped in price from $30 on release to $20 MSRP forever ago. This deal marks them down only barely less than buying a retail disc, not used or on any sort of a deal (it's also currently in the Amazon B2G1 making is $13.XX with limited effort, new). And that piece includes a disc. To continue to act like the one piece of DLC is really worth $20 now (after the disc was released what, 2 years ago?), is a joke.

Nothing for me this week, but if you missed out on DR2: Case West, I'd say get it. I had a good time with it for $10, it's totally worth $5.
