The only reason I don't own that game is because it does not have a proper camera invert option. Anyone who typically inverts their vertical look, I strongly recommend checking out the demo before you commit to a purchase.
What? No invert Y axis? Screw that! Talk about shutting out 50% of your audience! I'm sure the non inverters would not buy the game if it was locked into invert!
This.

Good game, I like it alot, but the camera made me mad alot while playing it
Really? I can understand the camera irking some people, but to me it was a minor annoyance since it hardly affected the game play. The game is very forgiving when it comes to timing jumps and the platforming sections are fairly easy, short, and don't pose a big problem.
It must be because of my mad hand-eye coordination skillz  .......(not really, I completely suck at any games that require any measure of that type of skill)

This is why I was unable to play Blue Dragon. Camera lock into non-invert. I tried to get used to it but I couldn't. I remember struggling with the original Beyond Good & Evil on cube for the same reason. There is no good reason why the camera should ever be locked into one position or the other. Everyone has different play styles and this is one area that should easily be accomodated.

I know this sounds random, but how did you get that snazzy gamer picture?

I want it!!!!

That's the thing, there is an invert option, but it inverts both the X and Y axes. There is no way to invert only the Y axis.

Non-inverted Y axis is an absolute deal breaker for me, so I'd be forced to play with both axes inverted. That wouldn't be the end of the world, after all, Final Fantasy XII and other last-gen games often had inverted X axis as the only option. But this is 2011, the lack of proper camera control options is not acceptable IMO, even in a port.

The newest issue of OXM.
Just an fyi to people who may have bought forza 3 pre-owned & didn't get the download card in the box.

If you (like me) got bored after 4 seasons, you can make it easy to get to level 50 & then have your hired driver finish the last few seasons if you get the benchmark track dlc.

Then go to private multiplayer with these settings

Track: Benchmark Layout E
Max Players: 8
Max AI Players: 7
AI Difficulty: Hard
Laps: 50
Damage Difficulty: Simulation
Collision Mode: Always On
End of Race Timer: 00:05

you get 10k xp & 14k credits in about 6 minutes
Can you please go into more detail about this method? What's a good car/class to do it? I assume you;re circling around the circle in the center of the map instead of racing on the recommended line? Any other tips?
However, if you own the original on the DC like me, it's best you stick with that version since it has some content that is not the the XBLA version.
Yeah, I read about that. It's just the Mission Mode right? Was there ever an actual Story mode? I never actually owned a DC, have only played on it. I would figure that bonus stuff would be done like the DX Upgrade, but since it's been so long since they released it, I doubt they're over going to upgrade it.

There is a chance SCV will pull a Tekken 5 though, perhaps that'll provide enough incentive for an XBLA/PSN update. (Tekken 5 came with Tekken). It's only a
I'm huge advocate for Beyond Good & Evil, and I don't understand why I'm the only CAG on my friends list that has it. It's an incredible value at 800 msps for a single player game.
I'm on your friends list and I have it. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I'm new to XBLA, can anybody tell me if they have large sales like Steam, where more than one theme/series is on sale?
A sale of steam proportions, no. Some rather large sales, yes.

Go to the FAQ in the 3rd post and look at the pasts sales. The big ones were the publisher sales in Jan '11, some of the Extreme Sales from late Mar-Apr '11, LIVEapolooza in Jul '10, the BLACK FRIDAY week sales, and the HOLIDAY '10 sales

They generally stick with one theme or one series, sadly. Steam sales generally blow these out of the water. This sale is just a rarity, so get on it while you can.

The MSGS sale in April is what the Twitter post was referring to, just figured it out.
Anyone wanna recommend a good game that's 800 MS points? I think getting some points back would be a nice addition.
There's been some discussion about Soul Calibur already, but you can't go wrong with that game. I'd also highly recommend Costume Quest and Hydro Thunder Hurricane, those are probably my favorite XBLA games to date.

We just had a discussion along these lines only a 1-3 pages back, if you wanna give it a look. I doubt anyone really wants to repeat themselves, but if you don't have Soulcalibur, that's a game never on sale that's worth a purchase. (It's what I got.)
Quite a few actually. I have one friend on my list that changes almost monthly.
That's crazy to me because I'm a cheapass and would rather use the 800 MS each month on games or DLC.

The gamertag doesn't seem that important to me. I feel like you just need to be able to remember it to tell your friends.

Most people who change them that often have mildly or moderately offensive tags (or at least one that can be viewed as such) and/or spam their friends list to report them for an offensive gamertag so MS forces them to change it without a few.

Supposedly the trick of getting your friends to report your GT no longer works as they actually have someone review them.

Even if it did, it's not a good idea. After a dozen or so (and sometimes many more) forced name changes they will permanently suspend your account because you obviously aren't learning any lessons about their GT rules.

Didn't know it didn't work anymore. Makes sense with a human review process.

I was aware of the ban though

anyone play dead rising 2: case west or case zero? were they worth it? which one was better if you played both? is case zero the prequel and case west the expansion?

I'm in the same boat as everyone. Trying to decide what, if anything, I want to get for 800 or more. I'm downlaoding demos of Soul Caliber and Galaga Legions DX. I might just end up getting nothing and giving up on the 200 points. I do like Bastion, but just not sure when I'm going to get around to playing it.

Use the #9 Peugeot 908, fast with good handling & race as close as you can to the inner barricade. 10k in under 7 mins easy and around 6 mins when you get the turning/acceleration right

They are basically extra smaller chunks of Dead Rising 2. Case West is the expansion. Neither are AMAZING but if you just want more small episodes of DR2, I say go for it.

Case West has you at max level with all the good upgrades but has a retarded amount of shooting enemies in a melee-oriented game.

I enjoyed Case Zero (the prequel) much more than Case West. Played it for several hours and got all the achievements.

Pick up Command and Conquer commanders challenge as my second game besides Half minute hero that I purchased earlier this month. Too bad its not multiplayer but sure I will have fun with it.

How long do you think we would have to wait in order to recieve the 200 point rebate. Will it be added to your xbox rewards total or will in be in the form of just 200 points?

Probably 4-6 weeks

Mine already showed up on my rewards page. I bought my second game last week.
How are the mass effect dlcs are they worth getting any i should stay away from?
I enjoyed them all but it depends on how much you are a fan of mass effect. The shadow broker DLC is by far the best, the next being overlord. Some say arrival isn't that good but I enjoyed it, but then again I already have the CE for #3 on reserve too. If you're just a casual ME fan I'd say get the shadow broker for sure.

Shadow Broker is one of the best DLCs ever released for Xbox. Period.

I thought Arrival was interesting and important to the plot of the next game.

Overlord... meh.

It's been a while since I played overlord so it might be just better in my memory than actuality, idk.
Case Zero was worth it in that I only needed to spend $5 instead of $60 to figure out that I don't like Dead Rising.
Same, it saved me from buying DR 2, even after playing and finishing the first one. It even had me questioning how I made it through the first one at all because I hated case zero so much.

I would personally strike the "one of," but yeah, it's good. Kasumi is great also. The others, take or leave depending on how much of a ME2 superfan you are. They're not essential.

I'm a Mass Effect nut, but I can't decide if I should get the Arrival DLC on the 360 or the newer PS3 version which I've been playing more of lately because I honestly want to get it for both but i'm a CAGer too. Eff.

Do you have the other DLC? If so, do you have any intention on getting it? I'd say whichever (if either) you're more likely to 100% (even if you have no plans on doing so...you might change your mind later).

I agree that Lair of the Shadow Broker is fantastic, highly recommend it. I picked up Arrival last week when it briefly went on sale, thought it was decent...mostly just wanted to re-100% the game. It was pretty easy, even solo, since I turned the difficulty down to normal after having beaten the main game on Insane and LotSB on...hardened, I think it was.

If your thinking about buying all the Forza 3 DLC, here's an idea, trade your forza 3 to GS for 16$ (current bonuses included), and buy the Forza 3 Ultimate edition (24$ after powerup rewards)

or just buy the ultimate at GS, install the second disk, then return it. This is what I did with my vanilla copy
It's been a while since I played overlord so it might be just better in my memory than actuality, idk.
I played Overlord and Shadow Broker back to back, and I personally liked Overlord better as well. Didn't care much for Kasumi DLC, but at least you get a new character and weapon out of it. You're probably going to want all the DLCs though to maximize the amount of choices carried over to ME3.

Does anyone else think Bioware is going to release an "Ultimate" version of Mass Effect 2 with all the DLC, weapons packs, costumes, etc.? For instance, like how they did with Dragon Age? I'm thinking about getting the DLC packs, but since I don't have any of them at all, maybe I should just wait. Then again, they'd probably charge $60 for it.

Yeah, that's what I continue to hold out for. I'm hoping before this holiday season it'll be out, maybe for $30 or $40. But then, I haven't played 1 either, so it's not like I'm exactly eager for this.

I seriously doubt it. Bioware didn't make a special edition that had all the DLC included for ME1, so I don't expect it for ME2. No matter how much I hoped for it to happen. Hence why I got the game for $9.99 on Black Friday and picked up the 4 or 5 dlc packs for $2.50 each during the one day sales last year.

And now arrival(the last dlc for ME2) goes on sale for $3.50? Forget a special edition. Might've happened for Dragon Age, but I'm willing to bet 1600 MS moon dollars it doesn't happen. And you CAGs can quote me on that ;)

I was thinking along the same lines, but this is EA we're talking about. ME1 was published by MS Game Studios.

I also picked up ME2 for cheap and the dlcs when on sale. Gonna pick up Arrival and call it a day.

What do you guys think the odds are of another sale on The Lost and Damned anytime soon for GTA IV? I just switched 360's and apparently the license for it didnt transfer over (and it doesnt show up in my purchase history) so I need to get it again and bummed I missed the 1/2 off sale. You think it'll drop again soon or am I tough out of luck?
