Yes the DLC was free for a short time when it was released.

Yeah I'm loving Tochlight as well, played the demo for a 1 hour and 25 min, but I don't have points so I might take you up on that giveaway.;)
As far as I know only the 1st DLC was, not the 3rd. If they both were then I missed grabbing the 3rd.

Well, this just makes it even less likely I'll get them. Ouch.

It was just the first pack. It was kinda of a "sorry" from the developer cause they had to patch in online co-op. Glad I grabbed it then too.
according to that article it also comes with 160pts
Just checked & yeah, they updated with new info:

- $30 confirmed
- April 19th
- Free 48-Hour Xbox Live Gold Trial
- $2 worth of Microsoft Points
I only don't own Limbo. I'm pretty sure everyone owns Splosion Man and Trials by now.
I don't own any of them, but I don't feel the urge to spend $30 on $35 worth of games when they'll go on sale individually for a total price of $17.50 or less.

I was hoping that Prince of Persia Classic was still 50% off, but it's not. Back up to 800 MSP. BIIIIING~!

Thanks to it out the OP

Also added the news about the new disc to the OP. Thanks for the info guys

I never played the original Sonic Adventure all the way through, but always wanted to. At 400 points it's very tempting. Especially since 800 points (which is normal price) gets me that and the DX Upgrade.

Consider yourself lucky. Life is too short to waste on that game.
I wish they would put vandal hearts on sale already. I want it but not for 1200.
It was on sale once.

Wait for the used copies to show up on eBay ... or used rentals from GameFly ... that's how the "green" XBLA disc has dropped to $5 or less, and is the best value for XBLA games you can get.

Really enjoying Torchlight. It may have lost some of the soul from the computer version, but joystick movement is great! My main gripe right now is having to squint to read most of the text (playing on 32" 720p).
Lode Runner, PA Ep's 1&2..... worth it?
Yes, all worth it but I believe those are permanent price drops so you don't need to get them all at once. :)
Lode Runner, PA Ep's 1&2..... worth it?
Lode Runner is really only good if you're fan of the original. Otherwise, pass for 800 points.

The Penny-Arcade games are great, but if you buy them, you have to deal with the fact that Episodes 3 and 4 are never coming. :(

I used to play the hell out of LR on my NES back in the day, and I remember being extremely disappointed at the 1200MSP price. Yeah, I'm gonna pick it up.

-both PA's as well.... thanks guys!
Well if anyone had those 160 points from ebay sellers...looks like they weren't legit after all. While it was hard to guess something like this had happened, with a clear lack of a way to get massive amounts of 160 points, it was obviously fishy.

I wonder what will happen to those people that got points? I would imagine if a significant volume was added to an account, that could certainly send up a red flag.
Does anybody know when Splosion Man goes on sale??? I really want the game :(.
It was on sale the summer after it came out. I think each summer they do a sale on last year's Summer of Arcade game releases. If enough people bug TwistedPixel, maybe they will make a three pack of their own like they are doing with Limbo, 'Splosion Man, and Trials HD. I still want the Maw and missed the one time it was on sale :whistle2:(

Hopefully nothing too bad. I bought about $50 worth of points from people on eBay selling 160 codes =/
Does anybody know when Splosion Man goes on sale??? I really want the game :(.
Maybe it'll go on sale again when Ms. Splosion Man drops later in the year?

MS is cracking down on this. You may just want to start the process of get your money back from PayPal right now.
MS is cracking down on this. You may just want to start the process of get your money back from PayPal right now.
This. It may not hurt to talk to microsoft/xbox support and explain you bought some points on ebay, but the recent news makes you suspicious and ask if there is a way to confirm if the points are legit without potentially redeeming an unauthorized code and having your account suspended.

Course Ebay may not back you up since the selling of codes is not permitted by ebay's rules, well I mean emailing someone what they bid on is technically against the rules; if they were sending your a card with the code on it then it would be ok.
MS is cracking down on this. You may just want to start the process of get your money back from PayPal right now.
The sad thing is, if the complaints are taken seriously, eBay will probably delete all proof that the seller sold so many points. It would put all of the buyers' accounts in more jeopardy, by eliminating proof of what happened to shed their own liability. The listings would be deleted and the seller would likely be banned. The seller should be punished immensely, but it may be best to preserve him and his auction listings until the fallout occurs.

If Microsoft were to delve into the points situation with any finesse, it could impede the chance of them sparing the oblivious idiots' accounts who bought the tainted points unaware on eBay, if they decide to take real action.

Edit: The numbers were also revised for the value of the incident, with the whole thing equating to about $140,000, according to one source.

Also remember that if claims are filed soon, the eBay seller and the records will be essentially wiped from the records if the claims succeed, making the buyers seem at fault for having codes regarding the incident, with no proof of the one guy who peddled 2.5 thousand bum codes to hundreds of people.

Shoot, dont jump down Ebays throat. A guy on another forum posted like 10K 160 points code in a zip file. This was after the Ebay listing. He got some, but the few I tried were already taken.

I wish M$ would just have a sale on the Dash like 1600 pts for $15. That would really show them.

Glad I didn't buy any of those points. Way too suspicious. Call me the bad guy but I sent a link to one of the guys selling them to @XboxSupport on twitter to verify the legitimacy. Their response was basically we will look into it and don't expect an answer from us. Finally when I mentioned the next day to them about the seller not offering them anymore they said basically no comment ;)

Obviously implying he was stopped and it was not legitimate. I'll NEVER risk my account for points or illegal hardware/software. I'll never be able to brag about having a nearly 8 year old account (at this point) if I have to start all over again. :D

For those that want to cover their butts, if it's even possible to do so, I would recommend saving the ebay listings as .pdf files and/or printing them out should eBay decide to erase all the data. I can't imagine them erasing it though, but if people say it's happened before then I would be wary.

Man I would go hog wild if they did that. I've still got nearly 10k points after biting on Lara Croft (couldn't resist it the 2nd time around) but I would easily double it should they put points on a good discount. Assuming they lifted the point cap that is.

All of this just exposes how eBay really is, shady and what not. Reminds me of the movie Boiler Room on some illegal wall street business going on. They can trace everything down to detail, trust me. Example: if you buy a limited edition game and redeem the code, then call xbl support and claim it doesn't work they can find the gamertag that redeemed it, all their information and all. Not worth the risk, especially since it was a security flaw loophole.

Moving on, got Penny Arcade EP1 finally. Looking forward to more random sales again soon :)
How do you do this? Don't have much experience using PayPal =/
I've never had to file a complaint myself, so I don't know the exact steps. Since you used eBay in the transaction, it looks like you'll be able to take advantage of their buyer protection program. Hopefully that will lead you down the right path to getting your money back.

Anyone have an opinion about the Raziel & Kain character pack for the Laura Croft XBLA game? I was a big Legacy of Kain fan and am hoping that this pack is more than a texture pack.

They've recorded new dialog for the DLC characters.
Based on the movie? Pictures make it look cool for 10.00 but it probably plays like butt.
some people like butt play, not saying I do but just saying lol

I just played the demo for Battle: Los Angeles. It sucks. It's a single-player only FPS. The controls aren't very good. It doesn't look or sound good. The cut scene art/animation sucks. The enemy AI is awful. The grenades are only useful for blowing up cars. The walking speed is painfully slow and sprinting only lasts about 12 feet before it has to recharge. The demo was very short, so maybe the game is too and they don't want you sprinting through it in 45 minutes. The demo doesn't show off anything interesting. It's just you walking around shooting enemies with a squad who don't do anything. I wouldn't even bother with the 1 gig download to try it out.

thanks for the super thorough review! i was worried from the screen shots that only have 1 gameplay shot.
Lara and The Guardian of Light is a decent game.

Picked up all the DLC's, but very, very, very, very disappointed that the Xbox Live version will NOT get Challenge Pack #2.

http://forums.xbox.com/35870784/PrintPost.aspx

What's up with that Eidos!!?

My game's menu looks akward since it has CP #1 on the top, and CP #3 on the bottom, with the middle just blank!

Why is the Xbox 360 being shunned!?

Bring us CP #2!
Probably some shenanigans by Sony and their dirty money!

I'm on the fence about the Kain character pack (for Lara Croft: GoL). The Kane & Lynch pack was hilarious, but it was also free. Would the Kain pack still be fun even if I've never played the games before?

The challenge packs aren't very good I don't mind it. At least our character skin packs have voicing as well.
