XBLA - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - 400pts

after a half hour on Shao Khan I'm having some buyer's remorse :lol:

good thing I got this with a $5 point card.
 
I beat him by using Nightwolf or someone with a four hit punch combo, jumping at them and punching them and then blocking Shao Kahn's return attacks. It takes a while, but once you beat him once he gets easier. Unless he starts using his running knee I did not have all that much of a problem with him.
 
I always sucked at MK3; I might pick it up, but I'll need to "train" for a while before I'd even consider touching Live.

I was doing just that and sweeping to make him do the rising knee for a free uppercut.

then he'd just shoulder charge me into the corner and kill me while I was blocking.

this exact situation happened in almost every match :lol:
 
Even if your not planning on buying it get the trial, you can do some 1v1 with any character besides 3.

Also if you see my name online and it looks more like im boxing and not throwing any moves then that s my roomate playing. shits funny when he wins.

edit: can you play 2 vs 2 online?
 
i do. for ranked games I have to create them, it wont let me join. but I dont ahve any problems on unranked games.
 
i think i played that number 1 guy too... but i think i had a decent match with him.. its the fucker that uses stryker (gamespotting i think) thats a bitch..

I played him about 3 times in a row, he used cyrax, stryker, cyrax, and I almost won the last time... but his Stryker is the cheapest thing ever

Sorry I could not play with yall earlier (trakan and zewone and someone else, but I did not catch their gamertag). Everytime I entered the lobby shortly there after the screen would go pitch black and my system would freeze for some reason.

I know something was messing up because my screen formatting would change back to the default.

I will probably try and play some tomorrow. I have a short paper and a 12 page paper on the Civil War I should be working on. Just had to take a break from reading documents.

Hey, wtf, mine is doing the same thing.

It just dropped me for no reason.

It didn't freeze, but just kicked me out of the game.
 
I'm going to have to do some digging, but I think I still have the strategy guide for the SNES/Arcade versions of this game.

Yay, I handed the #2 guy on the Versus leaderboard his only loss. We played like 15 matches, so I was about 1-14 during that stretch, but it was fun. We would change characters between every match and the dude was a maniac with pretty much any character he played with. I finally got him with Sektor, my new favorite character.

Anyone else's 360 freeze while searching for games? I never have problems while playing the matches, but I have consistently had problems (like 10 times in the past 2 days) with my 360 freezing when I'd search for matches.
