I was just thinking the same thing. As far as I know it doesn't seem to be the success that they were hoping for, so if they give one away for free then they might get other customers interested in this XO concept.

No, but if you have your original Xbox still, there's a demo for it on OXM Disc 44 from May of 2005. There's also a PC demo available at the usual places, like here.
 
Microsoft is being a tad bit stupid not putting a game out there yet. I'm patiently waiting so that I know what game is FREE and thus not paying money for other games. The longer they drag their feet, the longer I don't actually pay for any XBLA games. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I'm in the exact same boat. There is 3 XBLA games I was planning on getting but have been on hold in case it was one of the freebies.

It isn't stupid at all. The Live service being fixed is the priority, not the freebie. Until it is fixed properly only a small percentage of people might even be able to download the freebie at all.
 
Yeah, WTF? Everything seemed to be getting better (for me, at least) and now tonight I'm getting all kinds of problems with the blades loading. Siiiigh

Yeah it is not like MS has enough employees to handle both tasks. You do know the freebie would still be available after LIVE is fixed.
 
I'd honestly like to have my month of Live back TYVM. I haven't been able to get on many multiplayer games in the 3 weeks. Microsoft needs to shut down XBL for a day and fix it.

If you have a freebie available while Live has issues, and people can't download it, they are going to want something else free.

If they offer me a game I already have, I'm going to want something else free.

But honestly, I just want the week or whatever it was that sucked credited back to my account (like extending my current subscription by a week).
 
It doesn't matter what game they offer for free, someone will complain about it. It could be they already have the game, or they think the game sucks. They would be better off giving M$ points or nothing at all.

Who needs constant electronic video game stimulation when theres ball-in-a-cup? Mexico's favorite toy for over 340 years! Toss the ball, catch it in the cup, dump it out of the cup, toss it, and catch it in the cup again! The ball is on a string and attached to the cup, so there's no worry if you don't catch the ball in the cup; and clean-up is as easy as catching a ball in a cup! So why spend another day not catching a ball in a cup, when you could be catching a ball in a cup?

No shit but today it's the first time that I had any problems with XBL whatsoever. I Couldn't connect but i wasn't going to play online anyway.

But for those who have problems. 3 weeks already. Microsoft is even faster with releasing patches for critical windows errors that shouldn't have been there in the first place. I wonder how hard it could be to install some extra servers.. But that's probably me not knowing what the hell i'm talking about.
 
You know, I'm starting to think that the game won't be bad like Frogger.. or Joust.

Could you imagine the uproar it'll cause? :rofl: In fact, I actually HOPE they give us Joust for the mere fact of watching the yelling begin. Not just here! But across ALL gaming forums, blogs, and news sites.
