!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow... so much for all the hype. Only thing I'd have picked up would have been Lumines, but I got that years ago. Ah well, saves my spacebucks for rock band songs.

I feel like i want to grab a tower defense game.

any of those titles defense tower other than south park?
how good is south park anyway?

- South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!

That's the only confirmed buy for me.... Rocket Riot is a maybe.

I was hoping Banjo-Tooie would be in there.

Thanks for the list, JDUB X.

Most likely going for:
- Age of Booty 400 points (usually 800)
- Defence Grid, 400 points (usually 800)
- Schizoid, 400 points (usually 800)
- South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!, 400 points (usually 800)
- Wallace & Gromit Episode 1, 400 points (usually 800)

Might get, and will have to look up the reviews and achievements for:
- Mad Tracks, 400 points (usually 800)
- Rocket Riot, 400 points (usually 800)
- Track & Field, 240 points (usually 400)

Already own:
- Lumines LIVE, 400 points (usually 800)
- Super Street Fighter II HD, 560 points (usually 1200)

All pretty cheap games!

I'll potentially get Lumines and maybe Street Fighter, but they definitely got my hopes up and broke them into pieces. I would consider Rocket Riot but I thought I heard the multiplayer for that is kind of dead. Could be mistaken though.

On a side note, I had no idea Track and Field was even in the XBLA.

If you have any interested in tower defense, Defense Grid is one of the best around. At $5, it's a ridiculous value, even if you only play through the main story on normal once. But there are so many other modes and things to do that it's unlikely you'll stop there.

This x 1000. I've put about 54 hours into the steam version and it's fantastic.

Fairly disappointed with the sale offerings. Might consider getting Age of Booty. Does anyone know if anybody still plays that online?

Looks like the only thing I'm getting is the south park game. I already have most of the other games either on steam or ps3.

Pretty disappointed....

- Age of Booty 400 points (usually 800) - already own
- Defence Grid, 400 points (usually 800) - definitely going to pick up
- Lumines LIVE, 400 points (usually 800) -already own
- Mad Tracks, 400 points (usually 800) - ewwww
- Rocket Riot, 400 points (usually 800) - might pick up
- Schizoid, 400 points (usually 800) - already own
- South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!, 400 points (usually 800) - no interest
- Super Street Fighter II HD, 560 points (usually 1200) - already own
- Track & Field, 240 points (usually 400) - no interest
- Wallace & Gromit Episode 1, 400 points (usually 800) - already own

There are still dozens of titles I'm waiting on a sale for... kinda a shame that they hardly landed on any I'm interested in... ah well, such is XBLA :)

I can't pass up $5 arcade games. Anyone know if this is a go? I haven't seen anything anywhere else but this facebook post. I don't have any of those and the only one I am not interested in is Wallace and Gromit.

Thanks for the link. I'll add it to the first post

I own some of these games, so here are some short impressions.

- Age of Booty 800 pts 400 Microsoft Points - 50% off
-Great real time hex strategy game. Online community is small and is fairly unfriendly.
- Defense Grid: The Awakening 800 pts 400 Microsoft Points - 50% off
-Great tower defence game with a cool sci-fi story.
- Mad Tracks 800 pts 400 Microsoft Points - 50% off
- I thought this game was terrible, gripshift is a much better/more clever game
- Rocket Riot 800 pts 400 Microsoft Points - 50% off
-Fun game, gets repetive. Great multiplayer, but online community was dead a week after launch.
- Schizoid 800 pts 400 Microsoft Points - 50% off
-Fairly clever game with slick presentation. It's a very 80's arcade style game.
- South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! 800 pts 400 Microsoft Points - 50% off
-Pretty good tower defense game. Your characters are movable towers. Lots of video and voice clips.
- Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix 1200 pts 560 Microsoft Points - 55% off
-It's street fighter 2, but HD and better.

So a bunch of crappy games, and Street Fighter II. *sigh* Oh well, I have enough other crap to play right now anyways (plus Mega Man 10 just came out today :p)

Geez, busy week for my Xbox...

Defense Grid, South Park, Mega Man 10, and Virtual On.

I would get Rocket Riot, but I've heard that no one ever plays it online.

Thanks, OP! I'm looking at a few of those games on the list...

Lumines: Definitely picking this up. I've been meaning to get it for this or the PSP version since launch, and now I finally have a reason to. :D

Schizoid: Looks a bit like Geometry Wars from some images I looked at. I may pick it up if some gameplay videos look good.

Mad Tracks: Images make it look promising, but it doesn't seem like anyone else likes it. I'll definitely make a judgement after reading some reviews.

Defense Grid: Although it seems like just another strategy defense game, it seems like it's held in good standards by the community, so I'll consider it.

South Park LGTD: I don't know about it. I think the series is hilarious, but I'm not sure I can handle the combination of it and a defense game.

Street Fighter HD: If I didn't have the standard version or IV, I would definitely put down the 560 MP to get this.

I'm thinking about picking up Street Fighter II HD on sale, but would love an opinion from somebody playing the game:
- Is this version good for learning characters & fundamentals? (IV can be a little complex, but I'd like to get better)
- Is the online community ridiculously talented, or is are there opportunities to pair with somebody who is at a lower skill level?

I play the game fairly regularly on PSN. Speaking from just my own personal experience, it seems like most of the casual players have pretty much lost interest in the game over time and moved on to newer games, what's left is the hardcore. You're looking at playing vets who have been playing for almost 20 years. Fighting games have evolved a great deal since the original SF2 launched back in '91. This game can seem pretty simple on the surface, but the advanced techniques require accurate execution down to specific frame of animation (1/60th of a second) and can be unforgiving compared to SF4.

I hope that doesn't scare you away from investing time in this version. It's an absolute steal at this sales price even if you only play through the single player mode. It's also a ton of fun to break this game out when you have friends over to casually play against, too. Just know what you're getting into if you intend to play primarily online.
I hope the American version has a different set of 10 games. Throw Trials HD in there and i'll be happy.
also hoping the American version is slightly different. highly doubt Trials HD though. Every time Major Nelson posts the sales figures on his blog, Trials is one of the top sold games for a long time now.

http://www.majornelson.com/

haven't seen Mega man 9 on that list. If sales on that have slumped and they just released 10..... where is my bundled sale??? something like buy 9&10 and save X points. Was sad not to see mega on that list. Hopefully for the American list they'll drop the Wallace and Gromit.

I haven't bought an xbla game in a while too bad none of the games interest me. I've never tried the demo's for any of the april fools sales. Demoing them is too much of a hassle for me.

With Lumines is the base game gimped cause of a bunch of BS DLC you need to buy to enjoy the game? I thought when it came out I heard a bunch of stuff about it being broken up into little pieces. Thanks.
P.S. For what it is worth I really like Track & Field.

WOAH, so wait, is there a chance this is just the UK list, and the US list would be different? Didn't even notice that it was a UK link. hmmmm

Yeah there's DLC you need to grab. I suggest getting the retail game Qubed, it has Lumines Live with most of it's DLC included along with Rez HD and E4. It retails for $20 but you can find it for cheaper than that.
