I still long for the days when games had funny writing. These days, it's either Tim Schafer or nothing.
After Brutal Legend, I'm convinced these days it's now just nothing.
Any idea if Metal Slug 3 will go on sale with the release of Metal Slug XX? I'd be all over that.
If I could get both for 2000 points (total), I'd be down for that.
One of the deals coming up is probably gonna be GOW2 map pack, the one w/ all of them. Saw this on Kotaku

We’ve permanently lowered the prices on a few Xbox Arcade games.

Each one has a free demo, why not give ‘em a try?

Braid is now 800 points (was 1200)
Cloning Clyde is now 400 points (was 800)
3 on 3 NHL Arcade is now 400 points (was 800)

EDIT:

I think you can. MS XX is 1200. Isn't MS 3 800?

Maybe you meant 1600 total.

I'd love to see a Doom II-2 in the style of Doom 1 and 2, with real HD and 1080P textures, and 16 player online, and brand new story.
Kill a Cyberdemon with your fists? Yikes. The rest sound easy... and awesome. Day 1 purchase for me, hopefully soon.
You'll probably be able to just weaken it with guns and then finish it off with a punch.

I'd settle for DooM HD , even if it was an up-rezzed 720p/1080p version of the N64 game .
just downloaded it off of the jap market :)
How exactly do you access content from other-region marketplaces?
I've heard of good things coming from Europe and Japan but never knew how to access it.

That was the best Doom I've played. Played Doom 1 on PC, SNES, 32X, GBA, PS1, 360. Played some Doom II on PC but not much. And Doom 64 of course. Will wait until Doom II becomes an Arcade Hit since I can just play it with my Quake disc on 360. For fun I rank the versions of Doom 1 in this order:
360
PS1 (actually I think this may have had Doom II on it lol, if so it's ranked #1)
PC
SNES
32X (beats GBA due to doing it so much earlier)
GBA

I think he's getting the port of Quake 2 that came with Quake 4 confused with Doom 2.

Unless there's some awesome trick that I've missed out on for years.

Yes, the PlayStation version included Doom and Doom 2. I loved playing system link with that; great fun.

make a new account and set region for that country

yes. I few page back there are a few post explaining it but

-the writing is really good
-it's short (but good)
-it's a classic
-there a few complaints about it

Oops  I meant the disc that came with Doom 3 CE for 360. I got confused because I also have that Quake 2 disc. May be worth picking up for those that don't care about achievements and don't have Doom 1 on 360:

Full versions of the original ULTIMATE DOOM and DOOM II, with single player or deathmatch and co-op in 2-4 player split-screen modes.

i guess i am interested in the GoW2 All Fronts Map Pack deal.

even though it is a rumor, i hope it is true.
i also hope it is a reasonable price and, by my definition of reason, lol maybe 800 points? :D

but that is not going to happen.

i dont see myself playing multi on that broken game. so those maps will be for the horde mode

by off their game, I mean in getting out solid info. MN struggled through reading off the list (no biggie since it will be out tomorrow) and it left holes that need to be plugged.

No opinion on the games as I haven't even tried the demos yet

I remember Madballs getting my interest somewhat in the past from videos, but never tried it. Anybody know how active the online is for it by chance?

I actually really enjoyed the MadBalls demo, despite everyone telling me it was terrible. I bought it at 800, but still haven't played it yet. I'll be in for Lazy Riders and Band of Bugs. Not sure if I ever tried Band of Bugs, but it's Ninja Bee, so I can't go wrong; and Lazy Riders was fun, just not $10 fun.

Online was pretty inactive when I played it; only a few deathmatches going at peak hours; at non-peak hours there were sometimes no games at all. Had to get people together to boost to get most of the online achieves in that game.

Of course, a sale will likely increase players' interest.

You mean Doom 3 CE for the Xbox Original, not 360
You mean Doom 3 CE for the Xbox Original, not 360
Yea I just assumed people would know it was only on XB, I play it on 360.

Hadn't heard of those games, but I think I'll download the demo of Band of Bugs and see how I like it. The fact that it was developed by Ninjabee gives them extra kudos in my book.

Procrastinated long enough on Monkey Island. Figured I'd finally go ahead and get it while it was still 400. Won't be able to play it for a while though (most likely).

In for Band of Bugs. I'll try the demo for Lazy Raiders and Madballs before I decide. I've never heard of either unlike BoB.

I think all the games this week have avatar support, to fit in with the theme. How does Madballs 360 compare to the Steam version? The Steam version is on sale for $5 too.
