Do I have to wait until april 30th to et my gold subscription?
The only details I have seen are the ones I have listed. It appears that you have to purchase all 4 games, and be a valid Gold Member on the that date to be eligible to get the bonus 1 month.

I would suggest sending a tweet to @XboxSupport if you want a 100% answer.

Wasn't that announced some time ago or was it pc only? I know I remember seeing that (or a similar) trailer a while ago.

Yeah... should have been a bit clearer.I fixed it to reflect it was formerly PC only.

My xbox live gold membership is about to expire, can I still download arcade games and play them with a silver membership? Thanks for posting I love the arcade!

Yes. You can still download them and play them in local multiplayer.

Going to Silver you are not able to: play online, get Deal Of The Week prices, Early access to most demos or certain content.

If you are deciding not to connect to LIVE because you are Silver, make sure your licenses are all for one Xbox. (It will unless you have switched HDD or had a replacement Xbox) otherwise arcade games will revert back to trial unless you are online.

I can't wait for Lead and Gold. Anyone else see the quick look on Giant Bomb? It actually looks pretty cool.

Ok thanks for the response, I have been through a bunch of replacement systems so I will update my license info to the current one.

MS should have migrated all your licenses if they replaced a box for you.

Since I didn't see another thread about it , and it is Marketplace related , does anyone know any sites that are good resources for the various indie games available on the 360? I know that you can download and try the limited demos for them , but some of them you can't really judge by the demo , or be able to know whether the asking price for the full "game" is worth it or what not.
No word on Rocket Knight huh?
Joystiq just posted a new trailer. Release window is now May 2010.

I don't have a great answer, but I have some suggestions that might help.

Like you said, all the games have demos. I find that if you are on the fence about it, just skip it.

Xbox.com
1. I'd look at the star rating users have given the game. It's not a perfect scake since 1-5 is very limited, but if people care enough to rate it, the rating is usually justified.

2. Check the Forums. Some Indie games have forums that have content, but most don't.

MajorNelson.com
Major Nelson posts the Weekly Top 20. That will give you an idea of what other people are buying. Several games are constantly appearing on the list. I Made A game with Zombies in it!, Shoot1UP, The Impossible Game all are good picks.

XNA Creators Club

Every Indie Game releases is peer tested and reviewed here first. Membership is $99.00/yr (IIRC). That is really a bit of a stretch to just demo games longer, but good to know if you decide that you want to try and break into making games.

Here.

CAG/CAG users are a good source as well. Lots of people here will pickup an Indie Game, notice it's a great value or purchase and post about it.

You just have to keep your ear to the ground. Google search and see if anyone has posed a review online.

Hope that was helpful.

My favorite item this week?

Are you extreme enough for Baby Maker Extreme? Experience the most extreme embryonic event enhanced by your electronic entertainment equipment. Simulate the miracle of life in a way only video games can. Download Baby Maker Extreme and be prepared to be blown away.

Wish my Xbox was up so I could see what this was all about

Good advice , didn't think about some of that. Will help in making some choices in the future.

I should have mentioned before that another resource I use is the occasional article in GI or OXM that talks about indie games. OXM did an article back in december listing 15 indie games that were worth checking into.

That game looks awesome, seems to be based on the tanks level of the first Fuzion Frenzy...which I totally loved. Too bad that isn't an XBLA title.

I thought the Maw was supposed to be on sale for 400 points this week...its showing up as 800...was it a single day sale?

Edit: nevermind...the Maw is on sale ONLY in Japan...

Wow...That's a pretty shameless crib. But as well received as Shadow Complex was, can you blame them? If it's even half as good, it will sell well.

Yeah, I'm all for more Metroidvania goodness, but that's almost a carbon copy. Ah well, maybe if it sells well we'll get a new HD 2d Castlevania, or even an HD port of one of the GBA/DS games.
Anyone know what Rapture Metro DLC is for Bioshock 2? MP stuff or SP Campaign Add-Ons?

EDIT: I gave up too soon...found it:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/...ture-Metro-Map-Pack-DLC-Coming-Next-Week.html
Credit to X360a.org

According to an e-mail that's been doing the rounds this afternoon from Microsoft, BioShock 2 will be receiving a batch of DLC next week. April 29th to be precise.

The DLC, called the Rapture Metro Map Pack, will feature six new multiplayer maps, a new "Rebirth" feature, two new multiplayer masks, a bonus "Kill 'Em Kindly melee mode" and three new achievements. If that's not enough, the DLC will also raise the multiplayer rank to 50.

The Rapture Metro DLC will be available on April 29th for 800 Microsoft points.

Thread : http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219110

My thoughts were it was a very overpriced. It offered something new, but not enough for $15. If you are heavily playing MW2 you can get your money's worth after a few weeks. I'd only get it if you are planning to stay with MW2 throughout the summer.

From the official Rocket Knight Facebook page
Rocket Knight fans, we're announcing this wide soon, but you guys get the scoop! US release dates are as follows: Rocket Knight will be available for Xbox Live Arcade and Steam on May 12, 2010. It will be available for PSN on May 18, 2010.

I'm thinking the same thing. Looks good, but it's hard to justify the price when I already own it on the PSX.

Odd question , but has anyone else who downloaded the Bright Falls webisodes had problems watching them , such as the video being so dark as to be unwatchable? When I tried watching the first one (oh deer!) it was so dark that I didn't even know what was going on most of the time. I ended up watching both videos on the bright falls website.
