so 360 launched at 299 and 399 when the economy was in decent shape with the economy in god awful shape you suspect people to pay 500 bucks for this REALLY MS

As a long fucking time Xbox guy. I am officially waving my white flag of dissapointment ans declaring my allegiance to the pc. Five hundred fucking dollars was the final straw that broke the dissapointed camels back. I will wait until they put out a halo special edition or some shit..... I have never felt so empty after watching a MS E3 show ever.....

He was wrong about Mirror's Edge 2 and Prince of Persia though. I wonder what happened to them, especially ME2. That seemed so certain.

 
I'm thinking $500 is too much as well but I kind of figured this would be the launch price point. Thinking of going with 1 system next gen anyway, ok Sony let's see what you got. Time to decide.

True, but he still got quite alot of things right like world of tanks and dead rising 3 exclusivity.

 
The really weird thing is, if they had this kind of press conference last year or the year before (ie all games instead of Kinect/non-game focus), everyone would be fellating them. But since it is all under the cloud of a totally fucked console, it just doesn't matter. Sad.

Seriously, this would have likely won them E3 last year. Its hilarious, and shows how easily you can fuck yourself over in the console industry

 
Should have gone with the speculated $299 with 2yrs of Live @ $10 a month plan that people were talking about last month.

Would have ordered one today.

 
Can't wait for Sony tonight I've always leaned a little more towards Xbox/MS but if they come at a lower price I might just get the PS4 at launch. 

Also wish they would have gave details on MSRP for games. 

 
amazon has not open pre orders yet. if ps4 is around 350-400 im buying it at launch screw x1 unless they come out with a sku for little money or do like 299 with 2 year contract with live i will buy it unless it's ps4 or nothing for me.

Glad your opinion differs from mine... I would be much, much, more worried if they didn't.

As I expected Forza 5 was the highlight of the show... Luckily, I wasn't in the crowd as I would have been in jail shortly afterwards for running up on the stage and hugging the P1. (Hell, it would likely be my one and only time to see one in real life I might as well make the most of it. )

Ryse looked good, I liked that it had frame rate issues as its a clear sign that it was running on the real hardware and not faked... (Actually, nothing looked fake to me... Though obviously some of it was pure CGI.)

Honestly, I thought everything looked pretty good. I saw more creativetiy than we have seen in the industry of late, though that might be more of their being inheritly less risk at the start of a new generation than any of MS doing.

Of course the price at the end was... Well, it seems really high for what they want me to give up and of course with no talk of removing that 24 hour DRM check, or at least the option to play the game with the disc in the system, its just not going to find its way into my living room.

He said they'd be at MS's conference. But I guess they plans changed. I won't hold it against him if they show up today. Now, if they don't...
