wtf is this thing i have never seen this and i have been gaming since i was 8 and i am now 29

someone explain
I vaguely remember hearing about it. Here is what wikipedia has on it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamebike

The Gamebike is an exercise bike designed to work in concert with video game consoles such as the GameCube, PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It is made by Cateye Fitness. A Pro version is available for fitness centers.
Gamebike compatible titles are mostly racing games.

Quick question, how many of you see ad listings for PS3s for really low prices that come with a picture, but it's just a link in their ads that supposedly shows you the pic of the ps3? Seems like this person has the west coast covered, and trys to portray himself as a local.

Thats actually a shipping scam dhuk. He ropes you into talking to him. Then he tells you about TNT some service or something. He tells you they give you a chance to inspect the goods. By that time the money has already been sent, and you get nothing at all. The pics are ripped off of ebay as well. The story changes a little bit each time. Most of the time the M.O is that he moved out of the country and needs some money immediately.

Moral of the story is; once your money has to leave the country, you're probably being taken for a ride.

I think I know what's for sale, but I don't understand what the seller is describing. Wreckless...racing game...for kids? And I don't know where the 410 comes from.

The little dollar sign is right above the 4 key, so whomever obviously missed hitting Shift at the same time and didn't bother to correct it.

At least they're not asking for $50...

EDIT: It already says "FOR". Why would it be "FOR 4 10 dollars?" MY THEORY WINS... :p

A DS Lite that can play original Game Boy games would be the ultimate source of backwards compatibility! (per the article)

No, the idiot mistyped. He meant to hit shift as he hit the 4 key to poduce a $ but failed.

That's the same craigslist city page I shop too. It's amazing to read some of them and just KNOW that someone was either really drunk or smoking crack when they wrote it.
MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2 $15

crap, I'd take it for that. It's $69 used at Gamestop, so I'd assume that the trade-in is higher than $15.
All of the games are like that. With a few exceptions (like Silent Hill 2) he's basically cherry-picked the rarest, most-expensive titles and offered dirt-cheap prices.

Reminds me of the beginning of "The Ninth Gate" where the clueless couple sells off the choice picks of their autistic father's priceless book collection for peanuts to an unscrupulous book dealer. Unscrupulous!

I didn't look that closely at the list before. He's offering crap for gold all across the board.

Wasn't there someone else about a month ago that someone listed on this thread doing the same thing? I'm tempted to respond, saying I have about 20 of the games they're looking for and then when/if they respond, give their email address to a Nigerian scammer and hope the scammer follows up.

Honestly, if they get some sucker to sell them those games for those prices, then they're lucky, but hopefully they're not that lucky.

This idiots is way over charging. It may be a rare but no way its $350 rare.

See, I don't get why you would shit on other people looking for deals. How is this different than buying a rare game at a thrift store or yard sale for a couple of bucks?

He was asking 2000 for a Wii. People apparently flagged it out of spite, lol.

To me it reeks of predatory business practices.

If you find a good deal at a yard sale, chances are the seller wants to move it quickly without the hassle of ebay and that accounts for the low price.

Or that they simply don't know that it's rare/valuable.

Wow just wow.
See, I don't get why you would shit on other people looking for deals. How is this different than buying a rare game at a thrift store or yard sale for a couple of bucks?
Because I almost never find a rare game at a thrift store and if I do, it's usually in shit condition, which is why it hasn't been snapped up yet. As for the yard sales around here, it's like the stands at the flea markets, people overprice their crap, it's in garbage condition and they balk at taking less than what they're asking for.

So, I don't even bother most times, though I did find a non-GH copy of MGS for PS1 for $3 about a month or so ago at a thrift store. One disc is kinda bleh, but the other was mint/near mint. Speaking of which, I should've grabbed it back off my one buddy last night, since he has it upstairs at his house where his nieces(who treat their games like shit for the most part) live.

Ahhh well, it was only $3.
Or that they simply don't know that it's rare/valuable.
People understand that much of the stuff that they sell at their garage sales could potentially be worth more than what they're selling it for. They accept the lower price in exchange for the convenience of being able to get rid of it all in a single weekend and not have to put in the time and effort to research values, advertise their wares, and ship packages/make deliveries on an individual basis. That's the nature of the beast, and that's why summers are loaded with garage sales. The average seller derives a benefit from bargain hunters because they're the reason they can get rid of their junk so easily. To most, that's worth getting less money in the end, because in the end, the saved time and effort is more valuable to them.

Do anyone really think people put on garage sales thinking "all of this is a bunch of crap, none of which is worth more than $2"? If nothing was ever worth more than the cheap price that they list, there would be no people going to garage sales in the first place.
