Your collection - post a photo - show us what'cha got!

My WiiU collection has finally doubled in size. And is getting some use as well. :)

I have Tekken, Mario, Scribblenauts, Nintendo Land, Sonic All-Star Racing & Darksiders II. I'm thinking about picking up Lego Undercover and Monster Hunter at Target, I just don't know what third game to get. Gears came out this week but I'm kind of getting tired of that game.

Tomb Raider?
Tomb Raider?
I could wait till that one reaches $20. SMH! I guess I'll try and take a better look tomorrow.

I really like the way that Wii-U and 3DS games look on a shelf. They sing in unison!

I do hope that the "greatest hits" versions of Wii-U games keep the same aesthetic on the spines and the blue case color as the regular version.

I just noticed the little icons under the Wii U logo. As much as I don't care about the system, the boxes are really cool:applause: I expect it'll be quite some time before the greatest hit line comes out, if the wii was any indication with it's Nintendo Select line

Well, the three things I was waiting for showed up between yesterday and today.

Model 1 Genesis (for use with my recently found power base converter)
32x (having issues with audio though... but it works)
Atari Jaguar (woot)

Two new systems in the jaguar/32x and I can now actually play my master system games as my master system doesn't work. (turns on but doesn't read carts, I can play the built in game and that's it) Win/win there.

oh yay an atari jaguar. my brother was one of the fools that got one around release. its now sitting at my parents house collecting lots of dust. well its mine now he decided he doesnt want any of the old game systems(jaguar,NES,sega etc)....system isnt bad it just sort of flopped lol.
There are some fun games. It isn't great but worth the 40 I spent.
yea i had some fun with it. it is a shame it sort of flopped.

I can't post any pictures, but I need to take some anyways. I've got everything mentioned in my sig, along with my original Playstation and my NES Power Set. My collection just makes me look like a rank amateur compared to Squarehard or skiizim. LOL

Been a while since I actually posted collection pics. Things have moved around a bit and I will soon be making more shelves. The plan is to move DVDs/Bluray and CDs to new shelf area (where Wally prints are currently). Still got about 20-25 SNES games, 10 Genesis, and 10 N64 games to case up, which will pretty much overflow the current setup.
i know im going to regret this but what terrible game is this???
What? What makes you assume it's terrible? If you genuinely don't know what it is...it's the handheld version of what was previously a popular series on PS1/PS2. It's basically a monster-raising sim in which you unlock monsters, raise them, train them, and battle them. The console games are better in my opinion because you unlock monsters by inserting various discs (movies, CD's, other games, etc.), which was a fun little mystery. In the DS version, you just do it by drawing stuff and saying phrases. The core mechanics of gameplay are still there, though. It's not particularly exciting, but it's one of my favorite DS games.

I loved Monster Rancher 1 & 2 on PS1! Can't tell you how many of those CDs up there were used to try and make some of those special monsters ;)

I remember doing the same thing. I'd put any CD I could find in the house in the PlayStation, so much fun.

Monster Rancher 2 is definitely my favorite of the series. And I went absolutely crazy with the CD's. For years, I hung on to every CD I ever came across (I refused to cheat and just burn specially-coded CD's). In fact, it wasn't until a few weeks ago when I finally decided to get rid of all of the useless ones that serve no other purpose. I recycled several hundred CDs, at least 50 of which were different AOL discs.

A few years back, some Monster Rancher site (not sure if it was Metropolis or not) ran a contest to see who could add the most entries to their archive of discs and their resulting monsters. I won by a freakin' landslide and was awarded a $50 Best Buy gift card. Sadly, the gift card never came, but I was satisfied nonetheless.

Yup. Did much hunting and was so proud to have found complete mint used copies of each for just around $40 each. At the time, that was an accomplishment. I should have felt taken, but instead i was thrilled. When the bootlegs hit the market, it destroyed that victory.

so it sounds like some sort of pokemon spin off?

and i dont know the name of the game just sounded like the name of a bad game lol.

dont feel bad my wii u collection is black ops 2(havent opened), ninja gaiden 3(havent finished dont know why i was enjoying it) and monster hunter just got here yesterday....which i truly actually want to play. im asking myself why i got one lol though i admit i was expecting another Wii scenario. my only real complaint is my Wii is half dead and so i cant do a system transfer to the Wii U. i traded nintendo land as i expect that to be dirt cheap soon enough and gamestop and had that 38 dollar kinect which was a steal.

Wiggy, where did you get your SNES custom games at? I'm seeing a lot of sites offer them now but am skeptical as they don't seem consistent in pricing. Suggestions?

No no no, Monster Rancher. More specifically, this one. A lack of Monster Hunter is perfectly acceptable, but a lack of Monster Rancher is on the verge of insanity. Okay, not really, but it's a damn good game that I think she be in any ridiculously large DS collection.
so it sounds like some sort of pokemon spin off?
No, not even a little bit. About the only similarity is that you battle monsters against each other; the monsters themselves and core gameplay mechanics are vastly different. Pokémon is a typical turn-based JRPG with a party of critters that you use in battle constantly. In Monster Rancher, you have one monster at a time and you interact with it on a week-by-week basis (in-game weeks, not real-time weeks). You feed the monster, interact with it, send it off on expeditions, train it with different activities to raise certain stats, etc. While you play, various tournaments take place that you can compete in if you feel your monster is ready. At this point, you compete in live battles in which you control/direct your monster (if it's willing to cooperate) or you can let it fight on its own. And you basically just keep doing all of this while your monster goes up in the ranks. There isn't really a set stopping point; you just keep raising your monster until you either freeze or sell it or until it dies. There is a loose storyline, but for the most part, this is not a plot-driven game. As the name suggests, you spend the game running a ranch for monsters.

I know it sounds like it's really boring and...well, I guess it kinda is. But it's a good option for when you want to just relax and do something simple. Despite the lack of action/excitement, it's really easy to get caught up in the game.
and i dont know the name of the game just sounded like the name of a bad game lol.
Which is one of the worst reasons for judging something. I mean, I can understand watching some gameplay videos and thinking a game looks bad, but going by the name alone doesn't make much sense in most cases.

It's funny that you have hoarder as a category. You should watch a show called collector intervention it aired on sci-fi and it's about a pop culture specialist that counsels collectors in a therapeutic kind of way to get rid of their pop culture collections. Hence why it's called collector intervention lol.

Ironically, I'm in process of redoing the entire setup. In the middle of it I needed to start putting my games in totes as I was possibly going to move for a new job but their offer was garbage so I didn't. I also am renting this house so I don't want to build shelves to fit the room and just leave them. My wife has already said we are building custom shelves when we buy a house.

kind of also sounds like the chao garden from sonic adventure 2. well i am sure i'd play the game probably.

well after a certain point of playing so many games and watching so many movies one tends to make quick judgments based on the title alone. this is especially important when one also has a backlog from hell. and to be honest you make it sound somewhat boring but mildly entertaining. so my original judgment of the game is not THAT far off lol.

Your place doesn't look bad but you've got tons of room so it'll definitely look better if you organize it. It's a great collection.

I also think those wire-rack shelves make things look worse. And if you put your carts in custom cases like Wiggy has, then it'll look even better.

100 cases for $60
http://www.mediashelving.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=W&Product_Code=USCG

And for cover art use the cover project.
http://www.thecoverproject.net/

I can tell you just looking at your collection you won't have room to store them all in cases. I was thinking of doing this myself but it takes up too much space. In till I get my own place I store mine like you do. They take up a lots more space then you think. A media shelf rated for 200 DVD/blu-rays will fill up with less then half that using these cases.
The art is nice, but Wiggy's cases look much larger than they need to be. I might be wrong though.
Well, he doesn't have too many options... universal game cases come in one size and need to be big enough to fit all cart sized games.

True. They lack that aesthetic touch. However, I didn't have a choice. A while back I went skydiving with some friends. When I got home, I found that these wire racks and new TV were setup in the basement. My wife said that it was mine if I promised never to skydive again.

I'd much rather have wooden shelves but until I own a place I don't want to put in the effort, $$, and time to custom fit in my area.

I'm actively hunting down the person I lent it to. I also have MGS:HD LE for the 360. Forgot to put it in the pic.

And those, my friend, are the signatures from Valve and Gearbox, respectively. I got the Portal 2 one back and I was so excited I emailed their secretary and asked about good pizza places around their office. Three large pizzas later I get a call from Valve asking what the hell pizzas from this phone number came from.
I soon after tried out DOTA 2. There was a pizza icon as one of the items. It's probably not related, but I like to think it is.
