Do or do not. There is no "need to."
The force is strong with this one.

For some reason, I have much less desire to keep current gen games as opposed to older gens. For example, I'll trade in games I finish and can't see myself ever playing again, ie. AC1 & 2, but I keep games I think I'll crack open again in 5 years, ie. Red Dead, Mass Effects, etc.

However if I were to find a CIB Madden 95 for N64 or Genesis, I'd probably get the thing hermetically sealed.

It looks like I'm moving and will have to start packing all this up. It could be a while before I have everything set up again so here are some pictures.

Ran out of room so stuff is starting to stack up in wierd places.

Very nice collection. Glad I'm not the only one still holding onto old gaming magazines. Good luck with the move. You definitely have a lot of packing to do. Hopefully your new place will have a stripper pole that's less ghetto.

Thanks, I'm going to miss that greasy ghetto pole but I'm excited at the thought of moving out of the basement. The new setup will be in a nice cozy bedroom and my first priority is to find a propper TV stand followed by a couch.

Old gaming mags are the best! The plan is to get them all shelved one day.

Thanks guys:D

I love all the collections on here. Even the ones full of shovelware and covered in gamestop stickers! (I finally goo-gone'd the GS stickers off those two DS games I had. Yay!)

Me too... I'm buying fewer current gen games these days and have passed on a lot of high profile releases. My Wii/360/PS3 collection is so much smaller than my PS2/GC/XB collection... I have almost as many PS2 games as I do Wii, PS3, and 360 combined.
It looks like I'm moving and will have to start packing all this up. It could be a while before I have everything set up again so here are some pictures.
Nice collection, as always. And yeah, that stuff is gonna be a PITA to move.. which is something I'll be going through as well.:whistle2:S

I have tons of old mags back to SNES/Genesis. I've kept them because I want to cover something in a collage of cutouts one day. I haven't decided what yet, either a table top for my future man cave or a MAME/emu cabinet are the front runners.
Toss the magazines, great collection otherwise!
Toss the archives? Never! I love my 300+lbs of paper!
It's so awesome to look back in time and see mullets and neon and power gloves and ads for games from Enterbrain, Taito, Acclaim, Tradewest and Sunsoft.

A history of a simpler time with simple graphics when ninjas were boss and shooting game previews showed all the powerups and stage walk throughs and cheat codes and art mail...back to a time when EGM didn't utterly suck donkey taint and gamepro did. There is so much history and nostalgia in those old pages...

I kept mine for a long time, they just take too much space and weigh a lot in bundles, I just didn't want to deal with them anymore.
I kept mine for a long time, they just take too much space and weigh a lot in bundles, I just didn't want to deal with them anymore.
If you're moving around a lot, I can understand but I definitely regret not keeping/getting more mags from the 80s/90s. Some of the early NPs and Next Generations are so hard to find now, and cost quite a bit.

I love going back every now and then and reading how the Ultra 64 will change everything or the upcoming Final Fantasy VII.

They are a huge pain in the ass to move for sure. I've lugged them accross the country to 13 different homes in 3 different cities (soon to be 4) but it never even crossed my mind to get rid of them. Every poster that ever came with an EGM is in there as well as cool random stuff like the Conker BFD preorder whoopie cushion and the alternate gamecube box art inserts...
I'm not sure if this is allowed here but this serves me well for nostalgia.

That is piracy. No different then when someone tried passing around a download link for a PDF file of Ni no kuni wizard edition book untill they got shut down.

It says this on the home page of the site you linked.
This site is set up to digitally preserve video game magazines from 1999 and earlier for current magazines. The rules for defunct magazines vary on a case-by-case basis. We do this because issues of these magazines are not readily available from publishers/content owners. While we don’t have legal permission, we operate in a way where we do not release anything that will reduce any potential income for you, or magazines that are available from you, nor do we release scans that are of a quality that may reflect poorly on you. So far this has worked, with several publishers/content owners basically ignoring our existence. However, if you wish that we do not make content that you legally have ownership available on this site, just let us know and we will remove it. While we would prefer permission, we will fully oblige with your wishes concerning your content. This is a hobby we do out of passion and love for the video game magazines of yesterday, and not worth legal battles of any kind
Disagree with what? The fact that there are a lot of great DS games, or that I can't imagine something?

All jokes aside, I know it's subjective based on how many games you play and what you like, but still... I can't image saying to myself that there are 200 DS games that I absolutely must have. But I'm with Square, I wanna see your collection.
I agree. I know like 2 people who have complete N64 collections all US releases of 296 games. I tell them all them time 50/296 are worth owning or playing. Every other game is pretty much shovelware. Not as subjective as you make it to be. General consensus will agree the shovelware is crap. There is always someone out there who's going to like a video game and enjoys the shovelware. Like Zumba and Disney kids games etc.

Soul Calibur V
Soul Calibur V
I used to love SC because it was so accessible to people who suck at fighters (like me). I remember how much fun it was making characters in SCIV... I remember making Iron Man, Shantae, Crono, Luna (Lunar) and a few other obscure ones. I was so looking forward to SVC because of the more in depth character creator but I just couldn't play the game and quit after 10 minutes.

Dang, all these DS collections really make me wish I had a Lite
Holy Hello Kitty! Were those your dupes?
Unfortunately, i meant literal dupes. As in there's a windy x windham on the rack correct? Well, there's a second windy x windham sitting next to me right now. Along with 100 Classic Books, Garfield's Nightmare and Theatrhythm. And a loose WordJong with no case. How I wound up with that, I have NO idea. I never buy something without a case. And the WordJong case on the rack has... yes, a WordJong cart inside. I triple checked.

So that's five dupes. I thought I had six when I was upstairs. Either I was mistaken or the brother person stole the sixth for himself.

 Nice Collection, looking through the list I can still see some holes in mine.
