It's funny you bring this up, because you can't prove any of it. Neither can I, neither can anyone else in this thread. It would take Capcom employees to do that, and I'm really doubting anyone here is one of those.
Now then, barring the obvious subjectivity of your post, there's absolutely no way for anyone right now to figure out whether or not the game is rare. What we
can say is that it's probably under the radar. It has no real advertising, and I'm going to guess the title/cover art does more to repulse people than to attract them.
Beyond that, Capcom is synonymous with things like Street Fighter, Megaman, and Devil May Cry (and now, Dead Rising). There's no way this game got the same amount of attention that those franchises did, because then they might actually have had the cash to pay for a commercial. I will say that it does seem like they took some time and put in a lot of effort, but there's no way it is comparable to their bigger titles.
Word of mouth might cause the game to become rare. Or Capcom might release another 100K copies.
The title is a bit sensationalistic, that much I can agree to. But everything else after that is nothing but opinion, a collection of hypothetical what-ifs, and anecdotal "well wtf I saw like 409580294802398432 at my Walmart" stories.
Let's get back to the topic at hand. The game is excellent, it's worth it to any adventure gamer to play, it uses the tech well, looks good, and obviously had some polish/attention applied to it, meaning Capcom went a bit above and beyond the shovelware crap that's all over the system. If you want a unique and fun game, you ought to pick it up.
With all the constant "omfg Wii has no games" and other bullshit rhetoric I see all over the place, to pass up a genuinely good game with a well-executed interface really makes me
wonder.
okay, we'll just mark every game with "OMFG GETTING RARE BUY IT NOW L@@K FURBY TMX 360 PS3 WII AAAAAAAA++++++++++" until we can prove that it isn't rare
every game that comes out seems to have people who say they can't find it. Guess Zen Davis is just a spaz.
and look, this is exactly what he wants! The plant wins!
okay, I'm done.
