*sigh*

I wasted the last of my GS credit on this when it launched and have yet to touch anything beyond MP1. Damn impulse buys.

MP1 is good, BTW.

BTW, I didn't post the deal databuild did. I have no idea why it put my name on the top, I was actually the first reply to his thread.

Looks like Metroid Prime Trilogy is now $20 at BB.com. Price shows up as regular price until you add the game to your cart; then the sale price is reflected. Hurrrryyyyy! Use in-store pickup to save on shipping.

And don't count on amazon price matching Metroid this week. They don't even have it in stock anymore.

So I type in "bb.com" and I get a blank white page.

Now, this crazy voice in my head told me the thread creator PROBABLY means BestBuy.com, but I know that nobody can be lazy enough to not bother typing an extra 5 characters if they're going to bother creating a thread about it, right?

Hmm....

Anyway, thanks for the heads up.
Dammit... my BB is out of these. The next 10 closest BBYs have them in stock...

Just my fucking luck.
Shipping is just 2.99

this is a hell of a package.

I had the originals, and bought this for $50 on release day, just for motion control on the first 2. I thought that it actually made the games easier (several bosses were cakewalks with free aim), but it was still awesome.

Two questions: Can you use classic controls (GC controller) for the first two games?

Also selling Corruption Wii + Echoes GC pays for this. Thanks OP!

Freakin sweet. $13.50 after my reward certificate. Bout time I get around to finishing this series.

no GC Controllers on this one.

If you've played Corruption though, you're already used to it.

You will blow through the first 2 games if you're used to it, though. The controls on the first 2 were spot on originally, but they are better now, but I feel the difficulty suffers some.

Ah I see they charge not only shipping but tax as well. Nevermind, that quite sucks.

Ordered for store pickup my self after finding that. I'd rather have it shipped to me normally.
This comes in the steelbook case?
AFAIK that's the only version that's ever been released. It was supposed to be a limited run collector's edition that seems to have just become the regular edition.

Amazon says that production of Metroid Prime 3 and Metroid Prime Trilogy have both been discontinued by Nintendo. If you want this game, I suggest going for it now.

weird. I wonder if they'll do a regular edition reprint, since all MPTs are "collector's."
This is mighty tempting, but I will be away from my Wii until summer (staying at home while I'm at college).
I doubt it will be cheaper this summer. Get it now. Also... the Wii doesn't take up that much space; I say take it with you.

Maybe there will be a standard edition later that is not in such a heavy case. But there aren't any other special things about this Trilogy package besides the tin case and three games. I would predict that there will not be a non-collectors version of Trilogy, but I could be wrong. I would not take a chance on it though. The fact that it contains the trilogy is what makes it a collectors item I think, and the standard third edition is definitely out of print too.

Picked this up when gamestop had it for 25. I need to get used to the motion controls. So far I prefer the gamecube controls.

Cost isn't the issue. With Chirstmas and New Years coming, there's plenty of days where there won't be any delivery or service, it would take forever to get here. I'd rather pick it up in store tomorrow since I have nothing to do.

Sweet zombie Jesus, I thought I was the only one who preferred the GC controls. I honestly just want this collection as an excuse to play the games again.

Easy way to find out if you have to pay tax. Does the online retailer have a B&M store in your state? Yes=Tax No*=No Tax

*FU Comsumer States still charge tax (NY, etc)

Embarrassed to say that I've never played a Metroid Game...and I've been gaming since the NES days. Better late than never. Thanks OP

Had a $10 Reward Zone code, so I'm paying $11 with in-store pick up :p
Going to save it for awhile, I have a feeling these might go for a lot after they become harder to find

Thanks OP

BestBuy has guaranteed christmas eve delivery if it's ordered before monday.

I started playing one, but I'm a little compulsive and wanted to read all the extras and that slowed down the game and made it not fun. I'm telling myself I'm not going to read any of them this time through! Thanks op!

Why do all of the games on my Christmas list keep going on these ridiculously good sales? After the talk of the game being possibly OOP I picked one up anyways--I can always return it if I do get the game gifted.

I've been waiting for a deal on this forever! Nintendo never seems to drop the MSRP of their first-party Wii/DS games! :bomb:

Got up this morning and grabbed my copy early :D

I picked one up. I had a $10 reward zone certificate. Paid the shipping. Between the snow here and the Holiday week I want to avoid a Best Buy store at all costs. I am in no rush to get the game.
