i did the same but after i order i notice moana says region b on amazon. hope it ends up being all

I saw the same thing after I ordered.  Most of the Disney 3D BDs are region free so I am hopeful as well.

Blu-ray.com lists it as region free http://www.blu-ray.c...Blu-ray/169763/

Cars 3 has a release date (11/7/17), but like Pirates unfortunate release, no 3-D version is listed, just the crappy 2-D. Looks like Pixar, which managed to resist the idiotic aversion to 3-D, has joined the armies of the stupid. A real shame, especially with Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 on the horizon.

Disney probably hasn't had good sales on their 3D stuff. Honestly their animation at Pixar is so good that they don't need 3d

2D is just fine. 3D is a gimmick anyway, albeit a fun gimmick that I enjoy a lot too. I have a ton of 3D Blu-rays. But to call 2D crappy is just odd. The vast majority of movies exist in 2D only.

And face it, 3D never became mainstream, and no 3D TV sets were even made this year. It's not going to be too long before nothing gets released on 3D Blu-ray at all. It sucks, but you can hardly blame the studios for it. If 3D was a big money maker, they'd still be all over it.

At least it still appears to be getting a 3D release abroad, so can still import. Unlike Pete’s Dragon, Trolls & Captain Underpants which weren’t released on 3D BD anywhere.

2-D is not just fine when 3-D versions exist. 2-D is unacceptable, knowing 3-D versions exist, especially when a lot of films are shot with 3-D in mind. Now 3-D was never going to become mainstream; it was always an enthusiast thing. With the exception of films like Gravity and Avatar, only a small percentage of moviegoers (sometimes as little as 20%) opt to see it in 3-D in theaters. Oddly, home release sales of those films and Marvel movies often eclipse their 2-D counterparts, according to sales figures. Sad that 3-D TVs are no longer made, pushing the price of existing ones through the roof, and leaving current owners out of luck when their sets break. At least we have projectors and even PSVR as options, but it is still a lame situation. To the devil with the studios and their bean counters!

I'm desperately hoping there is one decent yet fairly inexpensive (<$4K) true 4K projector with 3D to be released yet (hopefully Epson?), as I would snag one right away. I currently have the Epson 5010 in my theater room, but I wanted to upgrade to 4K soon, AND still have 3D available, since I invested in all those dang 3D Blu-rays over the past 7 years, and 10 pairs of shutter glasses at about $75 a piece.  I'm not sure how long my 5010 is going to last, it's 5 years old and on it's second bulb, and I have experienced some minor issues with it - but it does still have gorgeous 3D with little to no ghosting. The 5040, 4040, and 6040 are all 4K enhanced, and not true 4K projectors.

Have you guys counted how many 3d movies you have? I counted mine and I thought I had near 30 but I have 59 in total.

I've got somewhere between 130 and 150 3D movies...  the last I had actually counted them was about 2 years ago, and I had 120 then, and I've bought quite a few since then.  Almost all my Blu-ray collection is in boxes in a closet right now, because I'm in the middle of constructing two more media shelves from scratch to house them, so I can't get an exact count right now.

Just checked my collection on the Blu-ray database and I have 77, which I thought I had less than that

The Amazon UK 2 for £17.99 Disney 3D deal ends tomorrow. After shopping it converts to $30 US total. I only need Beauty and the Beast live action, have everything else offered. Anyone want to go in on this with me? I can ship to you after it’s shipped to me. PM me if interested

So Cars 3 3D is not hitting NA? Ordered from Zavvi to get the SB and 3D in one purchase but man things like this keep me thinking that 2018 may be the last year for 3D bluray.

Nope no US release unfortunately. Yes looks like 3D from Disney is on it’s way out here in the US but importing for relatively cheap from overseas looks like it will continue to be an option, 3D seems like it’s still going strong in the rest of the world.

Lots of Fox titles on sale at Best Buy with Amazon price matching.

I have a feeling that ad was supposed to say "Starting at $9.99" since there are several at $9.99 in addition to the higher priced ones.  Either way sounds like the deal can still be had with a price adjustment.

Price is fixed now so you don't need to do a price adjustment.

And thanks for pointing out cars 3 3D as well! Ended up adding that to the collection, too!
