Need some deal advice. I got ahold of a lot of credit recently. Does Sony still do the whole spend $100, get $15 back promos or are those pretty much dead? Do they apply to preorders? Should I just preorder stuff or wait? I'm getting Death Stranding among other things.

I'm not saying it's rational, but it feels good to have games preordered that I know I'm going to enjoy. I think I'd only hold back if there's a good chance that I'll be missing out on a promo or something that would save me money.

 

I am 100% going to preorder Death Stranding and FF7 Remake, no matter what.

I think those get some money back orders are pretty much dead. Sony hasn't been super generous in special offers for a while now. No 20% off and such.

If you actually want to experience them properly, get them on PS4. Better graphics + 60 FPS option is a no brainer.

 

Uncharted 2 and 3 remasters don't have multiplayer modes, but that doesn't matter since the PS3 versions are being shut down soon anyway.

I wouldn't play the last guardian since it's basically hey you pikachu.  Might as well go get a dog or cat in real life and try to train them to solve puzzles if you are in that much dire need of frustration.

 

Or if you have a small child put them in a Halloween costume.

Liked, but I did enjoy my at times frustrating playthrough for the most part.

Yeah, the 60FPS and remastered textures make those games much easier to play.   Going back to those PS3 versions, you'll notice how slow your character moves after that.  Only complaint I have with the Uncharted collection and Last of Us remastered is the install size(40GB+).

Those are quality full releases for 2 very good games. I agree wholeheartedly.

I played Last Guardian entirety few times and the experiences of frustration for me are very minimal. Either I have lots patience or Trico listen to me pretty well lol But I can see people get frustrated. But I definitely wouldn't skip this game because of that. At least try once to experience the beauty of the game. The environments the views are breathtaking. If you played Ico or SOTC you know what I mean.

Maximilian Dood's recap of the FF7R behind the scenes demo sounded absolutely incredible.  He got very emotional on stream while describing being told that Kitase and the rest of the development team would watch his FF7R reveal reaction video when they were struggling and needed motivation.  Kitase and Nomura (I believe) asked to pose with Max for a photo.  Very cool.

Im only 2 chapters into detroit beyond human, but.... wow. It's an evolution of cage's already distinct gameplay [ive played indigo phrophecy and heavy rain]... but it just feels so organic and natural so far.

If the Final Fantasy VII is still going to be episodic, I wouldn't be opposed to them doing like 3 episodes, 1 for each disc of the PS1 version.

What I remember is that the entire game was on all three discs, it was all the cinematics that took up space and differed between the discs.

Probably being delisted on Google Play and Xbox One as well, so good pick up on that.  I think that the AC/DC table appears on the Stern Pinball physical disc, however, so it won't disappear forever.

Genuinely love Connor's story-line and the relationship with Hank. The other two are good, but don't compare to how engaging Connor + Hank is.
