Honestly ... pretty awful. Most of that has been the same price or lower in the past (perhaps with GCU). Seems like an excuse to clear stock before the real bf sales in a few months.

Hmm, curious to see if there's any BB/GCU to GameStop movers with the bump this weekend...

I might pick up Spinx for Switch and Darksiders but other than that nothing interests me.  Too bad they didn't do this about a week ago as my GCU expired on the 22nd.

Ugh. I got dragon marked for death during the most recent b2g1 sale at GameStop when it was $45, and now I'm having regret about not maximizing my savings...

Otherwise, there's a couple of $20 switch games that caught my eye, but not much else

Wont be long before we really do have 2 christmases. Hotel I work at we have a several hundred group few weeks ago of Christmas in July people with all their decorations and shit they sold. And this will be the 2nd time I'd seen a store do a bf/Christmas sale in july.

Wow, I'm actually pretty pumped for this. I've wanted Dragon Marked for Death for like a year, 20 bucks is great. I may pick up PS4 Bloodstained and just sell my still-sealed copy of it for the Switch, since it still hasn't seem the big patch yet, as far as I've heard.

Hmmm, I'm elite and tomorrow will be exactly 30 days since I bought bloodstained for switch. Hopefully that's still within price adjustment range.

I only see Recore: Definitive Edition as downloadable only on best buy's site. Did it ever get a physical release?

Now the great debate of do I pick up both Dragon: Marked for Death and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Owltimate Edition now, or risk until actual Black Friday but they may not be available or on sale since they are lesser known titles.

Both relatively obscure, Best Buy usually only prices games for the actual BF sale that have decent stock going into November. I guess it would depend if you think either of those titles will have multiple print runs. Who knows, GameStop might offer them for less on BF, they seem to throw smaller print run games into their sales from time to time.

I never thought I'd live to see a sale on Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. It gets old constantly seeing other Mario titles like Super Mario Odyssey and Waluigi's Taco Stand on sale instead, so this is truly refreshing.

I think what throws my thought process here out of whack is the fact that last year, BB had Disgaea 5 for $15 and a few other lesser titles for very low price. Sadly, I didn't get any of them. I might just go with Dragon: Marked for Death as Giana Sisters has been put on a few titles at this point so I could always pick it up on Wii U or something down the line.

Pick up DMFD now before it'll go oos by you if you can. Plus I wouldn't mind jumping online with some people from here. It's coming out with new content and characters soon.

Funny to see Overcooked $10 more on Switch.
It's also funny to see how willing and eager Ninty fanboys are to defend and pay the Switch premium that publishers charge on their old @$$ games. Also a hoot when these idiots defend the practice of publishers who don't even put the whole damn game on the cartridge. "They're trying to keep costs down for us." That's the "great" American education system at work there.

I would agree to a premium on all switch games because last I checked I can't walk around with my xbox or playstation or do mobile play on the fucking subway. But with your little needless anger in a game deal forum about American education system, you're probably too busy doing some solo forum comment raids to think outside the box.

And here is exhibit 1, ladies and gentlemen. We all understand Switch games are mobile. What no one should reasonably be defending (as you are) is the practice of selling "old" games that one can typically buy on PS4 for $10 for $40-50. See, e.g., Doom. Overcooked can also easily be found for $10, too, on PS4. No one is disputing the notion of a convenience premiums, but 400-500%? How quick fanboys are to come to these publishers' defense on this is laughable.

Eh, probably the worse part is that even a halfway capable PC (even a notebook) would be able to play all of these just fine... and you'd get them for even cheaper than PS4 and especially Switch.

As it stands, the only stuff I buy for Switch are Nintendo titles, third party titles that don't manage to make to pc, or indie stuff that ends up only showing up on the switch store. (Like Golf Story).

The only PS4 stuff I end up picking up are PS4 exclusive titles, multiplatform console exclusives (because the PS4 version is typically the cheapest) and the occassion jrpg that only manages to make it to the PS4.

Xbox One purchases are pretty much limited to exclusives too.

As is, between Twitch Prime, Xbox Game Pass, Games given away with Playstation Plus, Games given away by Epic Game Store, I've barely enough time to play the games I'm "given", let alone buying more. (And even then, bundles still usually give better value.)

For the most part, I really am to a point where I just wait out even the biggest of AAA titles until they drop to $10-20, unless there's a reason to pay near retail (like I want to be playing the game at the same time as friends.)

Yeah if you knock the Switch at all it's always "but, but, but, can you take XXXX with you on the go?"

Buying overpriced, compromised ports are worth it because it's mobile. Sarcasm. Oh and that great battery life. The Switch is maybe good for 4 or 5 games. I own 2. Most people play ports and Indie games elsewhere.

Those deals are mostly C level stuff with a few good ones.

for a long time people kept saying BB doesn't put up good sales due to gamersclub but they have been bad for a while and i don't think amazing BB deals on consistent bases will ever come back.  Gamestop has better prices on almost any deal BB has going on
