So uh, is it "normal" to not receive a confirmation email on your order given the pre-sale? Ordered yesterday and haven't heard a peep from them yet. Figure they are just swamped.... or more than likely something went wrong and they didn't see my order. Because usually a confirmation is almost immediate.

 

 

Does your order show up on their site? I've had similar stuff happen while using PayPal and  my order didn't go through. Took nearly 2 weeks to get my funds back.

I agree. I just finished Kiwami a little while ago, and I am so hooked. The story is like some gritty Japanese soap opera. And, all of the minigames are insanely fun. It's like a bunch of different games rolled into one.

Yakuza games are awesome. I highly recommend them at cheap prices and please if you like them support them on release too. Yakuza wasn't localized for so many years so I want them to keep coming. I already got most of what I wanted already in Cold Steel 3 and AI Switch. I could go for RE2 as well, but i'll likely just get it when cheap years later like I do for all those games.

The best advice I can give is read the Descriptions of the accessories. I can’t remember if it was 0 or 6, but I picked up a book that seemed beneficial only to realize 6 chapters later that it was making the game more difficult and caused more battles to happen. The description of the book was vague too. It was something like a highly desired book or something similar.

Because this happened when I was still new to the series, I got pretty frustrated and didn’t realize what I was doing.

I’d also recommend playing 1 & 2 first because even though they are remastered, the mechanics can feel dated compared to 0 & 6.

Finally, I believe Judgment is on sale too right now, you may want to pick it up (or at least keep it on your radar) if you have the extra cash/credit. It’s the first spinoff that takes place in the Yakuza world and you play a private detective and solve crimes. Imagine Yakuza meets LA Noire and Ace Attorney. At times Judgment can feel a bit long, but in the end I liked it a lot.

Ok if I go into Best Buy today and buy a game can I return it if it's sealed at any time for the BF price that I paid? Another words is there a blackout on returns or just price matches?

Best Buy typically closes customer service for black Friday weekend.

Yeah, it's not a huge deal since I'll just start buying my stuff elsewhere but I had always gone out of my way to buy my movies and home theater stuff from Best Buy since the early access Elite sale was always fun. It was my last incentive to keep shopping at Best Buy, so...

Yeah, it's pretty simple for me. One of the best incentives for spending at Best Buy and getting Elite/Plus status was getting the early access to the BF deals and getting my shopping out of the way early. It was just a fun thing to look forward to every year. Now that it's gone I don't have any reason to go out of my way to shop at BB. It's just strange to me that they are slowly eradicating all of their customer loyalty benefits like this.

Same.  They have started to move away from people that give them lots of money?  For what reason I do not understand.  You figured they should want to cater to people that spend a ton and make sure they don't start shopping else where.

Any game you buy during Black Friday and leave sealed is eligible for return until the first week of January. It’s not that you can’t return stuff purchased during Black Friday (or even get a price adjustment on it later if the price drops during December), it’s simply that you can’t do any of it during Black Friday itself, when the store is swamped.

Already got all of the things that I ordered from the sale when it went live on Sunday. Even though my tracking numbers originally told me December 3rd. It was a nice surprise to get them all so quickly. Way faster shipping than from Target.

I was thinking about picking that up but then I found an X used on Craigslist for $200 and went that route.

Bought 2 years of Gold then upgraded to Ultimate so for $300 I got 2 1/2 years of Ultimate & an X and enough games to not give a shit about star wars until it's $20.

Reviews have been pretty positive for Fallen Order, and if you're looking at an X, $350 is a damn solid price.
