Finally bought enough to get my first ever Steam card.  I listed and sold it within a minute of buying the game that finally put me over $10.  I made 15 cents!  Woo-hoo!  I've got Steam card fever now, baby!

You should have been participating in the community votes, you get one card for every 3 votes.

Did not know that - I'm kind of new to this stuff and don't put in enough time to know the ins and outs too well ;). Listing and selling was easy enough to figure out once I did get that card, though. So kudos to Steam for making that pretty easy.

Damn it makes my Skyrim base for $10 look like crap with this LE deal.

Still looking for someone to grab me a copy. Have Paypal/Amazon GC.

This deal is still better than if Dragonborn was half off.

I should add a big thanks to NinjaSquirrel for keeping the OP up to date (as far as I know ;)) during the sale.  I would just check that to see if there was anything interesting and then jump on Steam and get it if so.

It seems maybe someone else is doing the next thread?  If so, I hope they keep on top of it as much as he has!

I was thinking about They Bleed Pixels being in a bundle, but I said fuck it and purchased on GMG (actually bought 2) during their big sale. You can get it even cheaper now with their 30 percent coupon (unless the one I got in the email was one-time use sort of thing). But at any rate, it's cheaper over there b/c of the 20 percent coupon. I think 2 guys made it, and they say DLC is coming soon. It's more frustrating than I thought it would be, but if the goal is to just play through the game [combat is clunky, doesn't have to be as awkward as it is], it's completely possible.
Thanks!

you have to be level 5 to get cards from community votes, so even had you voted you wouldn't have gotten the cards. Don't worry, getting a bunch of Steam backlog games to raise your level takes a disturbingly low amount of time ^_~

thanks as always for the kind words, I did my best ^_^ Psydero offered to do the next thread, so I suppose we will see how that pans out ;)

Does the 30% coupon still work? I thought it expired a few days ago

Got my copy for $15.
Best price mistake of this whole sale season I reckon ;) Though I didn't jump on it since I got all the DLCs. Congrats

Edit: I'm sure there's gonna be a few CAGs tomorrow cursing their luck at having been asleep!

I saw someone post a photo of Kung Fu Strike a few pages ago, I was interested enough to try the demo and found it was a lot of fun. I decided to buy the game and dlc, very cheap and my first full game purchase of this Steam summer sale! :applause:

After looking at bunch of lists I've narrowed it down to the following games and I need some help deciding between them. I'm probably only looking to spend $5-$10 on these total:

Fowl Space

Agricultural Simulator 2011: Extended Edition

Demolition, Inc.

Governor of Poker 2 - Premium Edition

Go Home Dinosaurs!

Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy

Magical Drop V

The Political Machine 2012

Puzzle Quest 2

They Bleed Pixels (I'm extremely worried this will be in a bundle very soon)

Under the Ocean

Flora's Fruit Farm (LOL)

4 Elements

Fortune Summoners

Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters

Puddle

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack

Winter Voices (Any of the specific DLC's I should get?)

Cart Life

Defy Gravity Extended

Retro/Grade
I've got several of those and I can say I really enjoyed 4 Elements. It was a good combination of matching puzzler and hidden object game. If both of those things are of interest to you, then it's one I would recommend.

Having said that, last year it was $1.99.

Now to add these games into the list of bought games overall

Ben There, Dan That Double Pack

Prison Architect with the artbook, soundtrack, DEFCON, Uplink, and Darwinia/Multiwinia added

Retro City Rampage

StarForge

Super House of Dead Ninjas

By the way, where do I check the combined total of the money I spent on the Steam Summer Sale?

In typical fashion the 1 thing I did want to repeat (Orcs Must Die 2) didn't :(

Now I need to resist the urge to overspend on Shogun 2.

Glad Retro City Rampage finally hit $3, this is my third time buying it, already have it on 360 and PS3. What I'm not glad about though, is that Mirror's Edge never made it to a daily or flash sale after it lost the community vote.

In total I ended up with Retro City Rampage, Audiosurf, System Shock 2 (gifted to me), Final Fantasy VII, Just Cause, Organ Trail, Surgeon Simulator, and KOTOR II. Only spent about $20 this time around.

Have 12 games totaling $17.68 sitting in my cart and I'm debating over grabbing Walking Dead to have on PC even though I got it on 360 during their Christmas sale. Prison Architect is tempting me as well...would've grabbed it for sure at $15.

I spent 84.28  69.28. This may seem excessive, but holy crap, it's just full price game and a greatest hits game with sales tax included. To think I used to do that. Only problem is I'll still be buying bundles up. But hey, I do this cause I can afford it.

More for myself, to make me feel okay, but here goes. For that 84 and some change, I got

Leveled up to 5 in Castle Crashers (got my 3 drops, traded 5 more, bought the rest)

Rounded out my Summer Getaway sets to 6 after purchases/crafting Castle Crashers

GTA IV Complete [wish I did the Max Payne thing for Amazon, but I had that for L.A. Noire when it happened, seemed silly to do both]

Garry's Mod

Tomb Raider Collection [estatic about this]

System Shock 2

Portal 2

Fallout 3 GOTY

Terraria

KOTOR II [will likely trade away, Star Wars bundle seems tempting for later]

Deus Ex Collection

Total War: Rome, Alexander

Fallout: New Vegas GOTY

Serious Sam: Second Encounter DLC

Serious Sam 3 DLC

Orcs Must Die Franchise Pack [also stoked]

Tomb Raider 2013 Outfit packs 1 and 2

Tomb Raider 2013 Multiplayer Map Packs [mock me on these, but whatever]

Fallout Collection

Retro City Rampage

All 3 Maw DLC's

Castle Crashers with both DLC's

Torchlight II (x2)

[GIFTED] Hunter Skin for Tomb Raider

[WAS GIFTED] Just Cause 1, Iron Warriors, Civilization IV

[CRAVING BUT FIGURED TOO OLD FOR THE PRICE, GOG LATER?] Thief Collection

So, someone who has no sanity that read my list, did I make off like a bandit or is it pretty meh?

Nope, not gonna read the last 30 pages....

So anyone know if buying a Steam gift card via bestbuy.com nets a physical card or a digital code? I've got $10 rewards zone expiring in a couple days, and I forgot to go out and buy a card before the end of the sale...

Glad I stayed up for Retro City. Excellent discount. I think this is the game that had the Epicmealtime appearance? Totally starting it up very soon.
Yep, that it does, in the arcades, there will be a cabinet with an Epic Meal Time game.

Did Math wrong, 69.28 was my final price. 2 group buys got me messed up. Guess I got an A+. Pretty much spent my 6 dollar card money I liquidated on other cards.

EDIT: Also bought 2 copies of Torchlight II. I did really well I think now. haha.

RE: Hotline Miami

I didn't see what everyone else saw in. The gameplay is frantic and well done and all, but it just gets repetitive and annoying. I played through half of the game, got tired of it, and have never gone back. The music is interesting in the way that an experimental art piece painted entirely with Play-Doh is. You look/listen to it, go "Ooh, that's kinda neat.", and then you walk away. It didn't grab me at all, but it was "neat".

All in all, it's not a bad game, but my word people hype the shit out of it. It's not that fantastic.

omg finally someone who agrees. i think hotline miami is the most overrated indy ever.

About Retro CR, how long/short is the game?

EDIT:

What's the cheapest Retro CR has been on GOG? Anyone know?

Well there goes the sale, so long to all the people who only show up twice a year for these things. I'll look forward to only a few pages a day to have to follow.

Took on the system and got Conquistadors for $5.50ish and a set of Summer Sale cards via an actual Russian friend.  I am far too clever for you GabeN!

Does the summer sale end when that encore counter goes down, or is there gon na be new deals for rest of day ? (22nd?)

Just checking, cause wanting to get Vampire Bloodlines before sale is over.

Thanks !
