Sorry I missed you guys past night. My daughter didn't fall asleep until closer to 11 p.m. EST and I ended up falling asleep too on the process. My apologies.

I think we shoot for around 10 pm EST/7 pm PST on Thursday's. My wife and I have to show our house tonight and that means a later time for our daughters to go to bed so I may be a few minutes late tonight.

I hope to see some fellow CAG's on tonight!

I'll try to make it, but hard to say.  

Works a little crazier right now and even though I know the results, I still want to watch the US v. Ger match.

 
Sorry to leave semi-abruptly. I did finish out the series. Had something come up but it shouldn't take long. Not sure how long people play, though.

You guys are really good. A couple weeks ago, I was able to do well. This time, I got my ass kicked and ended up dead last in my final race.

Nice to have chat figured out this time. First time I've spoken to anyone on Wii U. Only one other person talking, though. I must say, Janet- you were very congenial while kicking the crap out of me in every race.

Good games tonight! That was a lot of fun!

I wish I had turned on chat. The last time I had it on, no one was really talking. Next week, I'll be sure to talk with you guys.

Janet, I swear I didn't mean to bump you off and push you into the lava, but when it happened my Mii said 'Yeah!'...I laughed a little bit.

Hopefully we can get a bigger group next week. Equistina and Rbarba - you guys were missed!

Thanks Matt, that was the first time anyone ever responded to me in chat too. It works pretty well; just wish it would give you more time to talk! And I really did get shocked and fall on my own banana :rofl:  Kinda interesting, as I was about to get hit by a blue shell I slipped on a banana and it only counted the slip and let me continue on my way.

James, you're tough competition! You were so fast on that bike I had to really boost out of every turn to keep up. Some of those finishes were such pure luck it felt like I stole them. The computer players on medium added a lot of extra shocks and blue shells to the mix. We should throw a couple in there next time too.

Yeah, I was trying to get out what I wanted to say in between races, but there's just so little time for one person to speak and the other to respond before the next race loads.

Also, I didn't know if you knew which of the 3 guys was talking, which was why I stated who I was. They should have some indicator over the Mii of the person talking. James, it'd be cool if you could chat next time. I remember talking to you long ago on XBL, playing SSF IV.

I need to try to find time to practice before next Thursday. I sometimes neglect my Wii U because playing it requires me to switch out an HDMI cable and get the gamepad out of its container, while the Xboxes and PlayStations are already plugged in.
 
Protip: If you are playing with randoms and you lose points 3 times in a row - find a new room.  

Also, I dont boost start on rainbow road anymore.  Its too easy to touch someone and spinboost off the side early, and its harder to catch up on that stage because items that increase your speed also dramatically increase your chances of going off the side.  I liked Rainbow Road early on because it relatively easy to maintain a lead, particularly with the skill disparity when everyone is just starting off.  Now I never pick it.

I swear RR64 is cursed for me. I could be at the absolute top of my game holding first and I will always get destroyed on the final ramp somehow.

 
^ Yeah, I've never liked any of the RR tracks, going back to the N64.  The N64 version only became tolerable once you learned the shortcut at the start and even then it's still not all that fun.

 
I'm on but I'll be downloading my 4 free games so connection will be busy so I won't be racing.  Where do I check the status of my download?

Think I saw a couple CAGs in that free-4-all room last night.

That was a crazy group with all the 7k & 5k racers.  Only stuck with it for as long as I did because I kept racking up tons of points.

 
Not game related, but I barely found out about the MK8 happy meal toys. We went today, the lady was either really nice or messed up because I got 4 Mario's and 2 Luigi's. I'm going to trade out the extras at other mc donalds to get the other racers :D

 
Yeah, last night was fun! I could be racing well through three laps then clip the grass and end up in 8th instantly!
Had to drop out a few times so I could make a faster kart; just seems like no matter what combinations I use I can't keep up with those bikes.

DMK was using a kart I haven't unlocked yet. It looked pretty fast. We had two or three races where we practically crossed the finish line at the same time, that was fun!

I got 2 Luigi's on my only trip. Now I need 2 Mario's just to pair things up.
Any idea what other figs are available?
