Speaking of Burnout, I would be up for working on any of the stuff tonight if anyone else is interested. I need a lot of the stuff some of you already got, but if anyone needs the big surf island or other stuff and want to start earlier, I am up for it.

So since you guys are talking about Fallout, and another thread on another board is talking about Fallout, I thought you would appreciate what was said there about New Vegas:

TL;DR - Just by sheer length, you should be able to realize that I would recommend this game to everyone. This review is about WHY I recommend it so highly. I do not use the word "awesome" very often, but to say “New Vegas's writing and characters are awesome” is true. And I mean, they can create a feeling of awe in YOU. It is especially obvious in the companions that join YOU during YOUR game.

SPOILER WARNINGS FOR FALLOUT 1, FALLOUT 2, FALLOUT 3, AND FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS ULTIMATE EDITION!

It's easy to see why Boone is a great character. Or how much of a story you can actually give an eyebot. You should sympathize/empathize with Veronica, while being frustrated and understanding at the same time with what Christine had to do. Getting to choose which brain gets to be Rex's replacement, and finding him a mate in Roxie. Being able to help the Nightkin with a high enough science skill and Lily. Getting Dean and Dog/God to begin again. Helping Arcade and Raul choose their own future path in helping the wasteland. Aiding Follows-Chalk in deciding if exploring the "civilized world" is worth the time. Helping Waking Cloud with her family and uncovering the mysteries of her tribe's past.

They are all interesting characters, because of their abilities to help you, and because they all have different stories. But Cass's story is different, even though it does not seem different. You find her drinking alone on the edge of New Vegas. Trapped between going home and trying to uncover the problems of her caravan business. You can help her several different ways. First you can convince her to go back home and not "sellout", or "sellout" in order to uncover what happened. And you help her choose how to deal with the assassinations, whether to take them to court and hurt them in their pocketbooks(the reason they did the assassinations in the first place) or deal in "An eye for an eye" justice, and kill them all. Regardless of your choice, she is never mad at you for helping. But you literally help decide what kind of person she will become. Now this might not seem very special. You are right, when only taken as the story from Fallout: New Vegas, her companion story lands somewhere in the middle to upper range.

But Fallout: New Vegas is not the start of the series. And Obsidian had members that worked on Fallout 2(most importantly Chris Avellone, since he is also the writer of Cass and the Mohave Outpost where you find her, and he created Vault City – more on this later), and are close friends with the people that made Fallout 1. So it was not difficult for them to understand the entire narrative and expand upon what has already happened.

To really appreciate Cass's complete story, you have to go back to the start of the series and understand your role in the Fallout universe. In Fallout 1(1997 in our world), the Overseer of Vault 13, sends YOU("The Vault Dweller") outside of Vault 13 in order to find a replacement for their failing water filtration system. The solutions to YOUR Vault's water problems cause the otherwise secret location of YOUR Vault to become known. The Overseer is angry that YOU have endangered Vault 13, so he sends YOU back out to save the Vault from YOUR mess. Once YOU are finally done ensuring the safety of Vault 13, YOU return home. The Overseer recognizes that YOU are no longer a Vault 13 citizen, YOUR travels have changed the person that YOU once were. He feels that YOU would be a danger to Vault 13's society. So after all YOUR hard work, YOU get exiled from YOUR home.

Some of the other members of Vault 13 are angry at the Overseer for the choice to exile “The Vault Dweller”, and they all join "The Vault Dweller". They travel for a bit and eventually create the village of Arroyo. "The Vault Dweller" gets married and has a daughter. This daughter becomes the leader of the tribe. A generation almost completely passes before Arroyo falls onto hard times. They need a technological boost to survive.

Fallout 2(1998) opens with "The Vault Dweller"'s daughter(the leader of the Arroyo tribe) explaining to YOU, her child("The Chosen One"), to leave YOUR tribe to find the required technology to help save everyone. Along the way YOU stop in Vault City. In the outskirts of town there is a bar. The owner of the bar is John Cassidy. YOU help him with his unfair debts. He wants to escape from Vault City now that he does not owe money and joins up with YOU. There is not much else to say. For the next 12 years(in our time) there is not much to talk about. John Cassidy was a popular choice to bring in YOUR party. He had a bad heart so YOU could store YOUR drugs with him without fear of him ever using anything but stimpack, but the man loves to drink. YOU can ask him what weapons he is good with. He tells YOU that he is mostly good with guns and knives, but is ashamed to tell YOU that he can use a spear(since it might make people think that his is just a tribal). The main character development seemed to be explaining to him that YOU are just a tribal, and he has learned his lesson about being judgmental of tribals.

So why was all that back story about the stories of Fallout 1 and 2 important? And why did I capitalize all the "you"s and "your"s when talking about the Player Characters? I capitalized them to remind you that it was your choice for these things to happen. These are the canonical events. Even though you do not have to recruit John Cassidy, the official story states that you did.

So jumping ahead to Fallout 3(2008). It is based on the opposite coast from the rest of the series, and barely tells us anything about what happened in Fallout 1/Fallout 2, like Fallout 2 did with Fallout 1. That is all that needs to be said about Fallout 3.

Back to Fallout: New Vegas(2010). If you do not send Cass back West, she joins YOU. When YOU ask her about her name YOU learn it is Rose of Sharon Cassidy. Cass for short. YOU learn that she can use guns, knives, and spears. She gets annoyed with YOU, if you talk to her while high on any drugs, but gives you bonus for drinking alcohol. Especially her favorite kind, Whiskey, which gives YOU another bonus. When YOU ask more about her life growing up, YOU learn that her mother was sick and did not raise her much. Her dad just left one day, when she was young. All of the evidence should show that Cass is the daughter of John Cassidy. YOU!!!!!!!("The Chosen One" from Fallout 2) are the reason why John Cassidy leaves Vault City and Cass. YOU are the reason Cass's life has turned out this way. YOU are the cause of all her problems, just because YOU wanted a party member that was really good with a gun.

The developers are the reason why Boone had a such a rough life. The developers are the reason why Christine was so obsessed with being in the "Circle of Steel" and solving the internal problems of the "Brotherhood of Steel". Even at the cost of her voice and her relationship with Veronica. The developers are the reason that ED-E is broken and that Rex is dying. The developers are the reason that Raul is locked up, or that Arcade has run from his past. The developers are the reason that Lily is going crazy and Dog/God's personality is split. The developers are the reason that Dean got caught up in the Sierra Madre. The developers are why Follows-Chalk and Waking Cloud are struggling with different aspects of tribal life.

Sure, Josh Sawyer told Chris Avellone to do something with John Cassidy when the game was being developed. It is not completely YOUR fault. But you actually caused Cass to turn out this way. If YOU did not find John Cassidy's character to be useful, then Josh would never have told Chris to use that storyline from Fallout 2.

YOU now recruit John Cassidy because if you don't, he doesn't help save the world, but still leaves his daughter and wife. Now this is the part of his story that YOU get to shape.

Cass is one of the many examples of why I recommend this game to everyone.

Awesome post therm, I need to play fallout 3/new vegas. I loved fo 1 and 2. The bosses were great in both of those.

I miss dogmeat. Best companion ever, lol.

Thanks Zimm. No brainer. I like Star Wars, can get some easy trophies, and then probably resell it for AT LEAST $4.
I'm trying to find stuff to pair with it so I don't have to pay shipping since I don't have Prime. Have the Castlevania Lords of Shadow Collection and need $10 more. May just look for a random Blu-Ray.

I have a party started on PS4 in case anyone wants to bull shit.  I plan to start screwing around in Burnout as well in case anyone is interested in that either.

Did you look through the CM sales? GoW Saga, Ascension, Heavy Rain DC are $10 as well as a number of other games.

Double post because of my cheap headset. Something you people with Golds dont have to worry about.

Thought about that too. May wait to see what the deal is on the Xmen box set.
They don't sell PSN cards but they do sell some other gift cards like

subway http://www.amazon.com/SUBWAY-Gift-Card-25/dp/B00CIECDEM/ref=sr_1_15?s=gift-cards&ie=UTF8&qid=1417318672&sr=1-15&keywords=gift+card

Star bucks http://www.amazon.com/Starbucks-Gift-Card-25/dp/B00AR51Y5I/ref=sr_1_12?s=gift-cards&ie=UTF8&qid=1417318590&sr=1-12&keywords=gift+card

game stop http://www.amazon.com/GameStop-Gift-Card-25/dp/B00BXLTYM0/ref=sr_1_22?s=gift-cards&ie=UTF8&qid=1417318672&sr=1-22&keywords=gift+card

Pretty much any gift card which says "prime eligible" should add to the $35 total, amazon GCs aren't prime eligible (they come with free shipping) so they don't work

Okay, guys. I lied. It's me, not my friend.

TMI (and not the good Velo kind):

I noticed this red bump, almost like a pimple, on the side of my ballbag earlier this week. It got more swollen a day or two later. I put warm compresses on it and it drained this cheesy looking stuff, so I figured that was the end of it. But then it swelled up even more and the pain got worse. It's fine if I'm sitting or lying down, but once I stand up and all the blood rushes it's unbearable. Trying to walk is the worst.

I'm guessing it's some kind of infected skin cyst with the way it feels when I put my fingers on it and can feel the sac under my skin. I'm sure I at least need some antibiotics. The timing just sucks with the holiday late in the week leading into the weekend.

And I think I'd prefer the male because he can understand the situation and the pain in that area.
Do you shave your balls? If so, it might be an ingrown hair.

New god of war confirmed?

Ok, one last thing about El Shaddai. Total game time according to the save data was 22 hours, but I don't think that includes all the times I died and had to quit out to the main menu in order to get the no dying trophy / not die to hurt my score in my God Rank playthrough. The true trophy score is 3420 which is only a bit below my highest scoring game 3D Dot Heroes, and that takes at least 2X as long to plat.

Tyler, how much of a grind was that FC4 plat?  I'll likely have most of the trophies after beating the story but wondering if theres any particularly tough trophies to do.
