Limited Run Games Thread - Nothing is Limited, We Make Everything Now!

You made it just in time for the LRG Showcase! It would be amazing to get some real insight tbh… assuming you aren’t bound to an NDA. Would also be nice to know the status of ROTBK Vita before you left, assuming a release date isn’t announced tomorrow.

I do believe the MOQs and production pipeline issues are definitely variables in the equation. While MOQs may be a newer issue, the problems with production pipeline and backlog have been an issue for quite a while, and have only gotten steadily worse. LRG has attempted to implement changes to...

I started revisiting this thread just in time to witness the blossoming grapevine.

My assumption is that they intended to trickle sales at a later date, but that the blow-up with the “Limited Rare” logo on the back of the case styled after LRG’s logo caused legal issues preventing the further releases.

My leading theory is that Poop Slinger was released by the developer themselves, Diggity.net (Darth Leanza). I had reached out to Diggity.net at the time of its release (4/1/19) in an attempt to confirm it was not a scam, and Darth himself responded to me by email stating “This is indeed legit...

Makes sense if there were truly limitations for cart size, right? Does anyone know the cart size for this release?

He also still appears to be responding to the AMA, in case anyone had any burning questions they wanted to get answered.

He also mentioned the potential for rereleasing popular sold out games (ie. Shantae Pirate’s Curse, River City Girls) for other regions, as that would not count as an ESRB reprint. I actually applaud his recent efforts at transparency, and his general honesty with some of LRGs shortfalls. I...

Two other Asian region releases with ESRB ratings that come to mind are Daemon X Machina and Blaster Master Zero Trilogy. https://nintendosoup.com/daemon-x-machina-japanese-boxart-with-esrb-rating-spotted-in-southeast-asia/

I was just wondering about the status of the Bite the Bullet replacement carts the other day… Figured I was missing something, but apparently not.

PS Vita Deals & Discussions Thread

The fact that Binding of Isaac made it so long without promo copies being leaked gives me a glimmer of hope that Nicalis may just be really good about keeping it under wraps. Still makes no sense to me why they wouldn’t be transparent about it though, since it inevitably will lead to some...

There were retail releases of Enter the Gungeon, My Friend Pedro and Hotline Miami. Gris and Carrion are now joining the retail bandwagon.

I genuinely want to know if someone successfully ordered both standard and CE copies of the Vita versions, which I believe went on sale at the same time. I’m convinced it’s impossible.

Got it… didn’t realize the PS4 version went on sale early. At that point, it wasn’t even on my radar.

I’d love to know your technique… I figured it was hard enough trying for the Vita standard edition, let alone trying to add another item on top of that! Those games were gone faster than they were even posted!!!

I doubt it for a number of reasons… they indicated on Twitter that they skipped the numbering to #4 to make room for the first game. They also listed a PS5 boxset slipcover for them, so I think they are pretty committed to rereleasing all of them, individually. Honestly, I probably would have...

The fact that they are moving towards rereleasing a bunch of their games again on PS5 just makes it easier for me to pass on them, as I’m completely content with my PS4/Switch copies.

I read somewhere that simply creating an account in 2015 may have triggered the reward. SMRPG was sold at the start of 2016.

Definitely follow up with them after Super Meat Boy is listed and sold. They always hold back reserves for damaged/missing shipments, so you should be good as long as there’s still stock available. I would imagine it was a pretty limited print run, so don’t wait too long to submit a help desk...

They were allowing ticket submittal and exchange for games and other swag, but according to their website, the ticket redemption program was discontinued 11/1/2020. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to submit a help desk ticket to inquire about it, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
