Best options for importing jap games?

I really hope there's some place reliable with better pricing than Play-Asia for a jap consoles/games to the US. I'm looking to get an Xbox360 and some games (EDF 2025, among others). I've been looking around and hmv.co.jp seems interesting but I don't have any experience with them. Anyone...

Mass Effect just disappeared from everywhere!?

I was thinking about picking up the first 2 Mass Effect games on 360 and the first one is suddenly out of stock everywhere. There's listings on half.com for a $50 whereas MSRP was $20. WTF!?!?

Is it possible to get real replacement Xbox cases?

I've been asking around DVD forums for years, and it seems nobody has ever found a place that stocks DVD/Xbox cases with the good hubs. I don't have a pic handy, but I'm talking about the type you see in pretty much every one of the gray platinum hits cases (also seen in Viva Elite BD cases...

WOAH! Don't buy the GOTY of Uncharted 2

I just got my copy from the Amazon sale ($35?) and opened it. Has anyone ever looked at that voucher with the code on it? It says "Code expires 10/12/2010". WTF!?!?!? Now that's lame. and People wonder why I don't want these stupid vouchers.

Do you open your backlog or leave everything sealed until you play it?

I've been stacking up more of a backlog lately and I thought I'd get see how other people handle it. I thought about leaving things sealed for now. I dunno. It drives me nuts when I open an Xbox game and the damn sticker leaves glue on the case.

    Anyone using 3rd party controllers?

I'm curious if anyone has opinions on specific brands/models of non-microsoft controllers. I decided to order one of those new Hori ones for $35 at Amazon. I should have that Monday or Tuesday. The regular 360 controller has a pretty solid design, but the d-pad is worthless on fighting games...

Does anyone keep track of when games go out of print?

Being Cheap Ass Gamers, we all want the best prices on games. With the current generation, that usually means picking things up at their lowest price before they go out of print for good. I've seen some sealed 360 games priced outrageously by 3rd party sellers. There used to be plenty of copies...

Am I the only one that misses programmable controllers?

I remember this SNES controller I had with a turbo feature that was so nuts it could do charge moves on MK instantly (like Lui Kang's Bicycle Kick--he'd be back in the air kicking again before his feet hit the ground). The thing I miss most though are controllers you could program macros into...

is Heavenly Sword EVER getting a price drop!?

I swear I saw this advertised for $10 somewhere during the 2008 Xmas season and missed the actual deal. Now I have yet to see the damn thing under $50. It's over 2 years old! It should be a $20 title by now. :(

Why won't companies offer DLC/patches on disc?

I notice some companies re-releasing the whole game with added content, and I was impressed with Rockstar putting the extra GTA4 Episodes on disc; however, others refuse to provide an alternate means of access. I'm one of many people that live in a rural area and still has no access to broadband...
