Offical Disney Movie Rewards Code Thread

It's only been a month or so since I logged in, but I no longer have my 1600 points. Only NOW do I realize that I would have had to enter new codes, access a digital copy (which I never do and never would have thought of), or redeem the points to have not lost them. It's a good thing I stopped...

    3D Blu-Ray thread

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I really don't care about adding Monsters University and Cars to my 3D collection. I enjoyed MU and I'm pretty much in the middle of the road when it comes to the debate between the fans and detractors of Cars. Also, I'm slightly strapped for funds at the...

Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset $314.98 Amazon.com

The PAL standard resolution is 576p, so that's the resolution in which the SD episodes (Series 1-4) are "stuck." Essentially, with the Blu-ray versions, we're getting a picture quality somewhere (almost exactly) between a standard DVD and a 720p television broadcast, but with a higher bitrate...

Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset $314.98 Amazon.com

No, it's the same release. The UK only has the original version of the movie as a standalone release and the Special Edition is exclusive to the Revisitations set. It's just one in a long list of UK double dip releases of classic Doctor Who.

Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset $314.98 Amazon.com

It's true: the "Doctor Who Movie" was the only other "classic" Doctor Who to be shot entirely on film and, therefore, the only other story deservingly eligible for a Blu-ray upgrade. I have to correct you, though: North America ONLY got the Special Edition release of the movie, but it's just a...

    3D Blu-Ray thread

The 24.96 price is not chain-wide. I went to Wal-Mart today to pick up the 3D combo pack and it rang up at $33.96. I checked walmart.com and no price is listed. It also says the price varies by store. What is going on with this? First Target doesn't even carry it and now I can't get the best...

Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset $314.98 Amazon.com

I have this set preordered on Amazon, but I'm slightly confused about the 1080p "upgrade"... I'm sure the seasons will look good, but 1080p would mean that the original 25fps would have to be dropped down to 24fps to run on Region A Blu-ray players. I haven't seen any reviews for the 7th Series...

    Target ad 9/22-9/28

The 3D version of IM3 isn't carried in store (why Star Trek was and this isn't is beyond me) and it showed up as "Not Available Online" when I checked Target.com I guess I'll wait for a miraculous PM at BB (my local Walmart had it for $33.96) or just not buy it. I might just consider waiting a...

    Iron Man 3 Blu-ray 3D is $24.96 at Walmart

IM3 3D rang up as 33.96 at Wal-Mart on 27th Street in Milwaukee, WI. I'd consider trying to PM with the ad scan, but the BBs around here probably wouldn't accept something as easily faked as a scan of an ad flyer. I wouldn't have even entered a Wally World, but Target isn't even carrying the 3D...

    3D Blu-Ray thread

Well, there was one version of the trilogy that had both the original and extended editions: the "Limited Edition" releases of the films. The movies were on two-sided DVDs and had "seamless" branching to choose between the theatrical or extended versions. The only extra features included were...

Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset $314.98 Amazon.com

I bought a dad once... it was awkward to say the least! Amen, brother ...although, I'm suddenly worried that the David Tennant specials won't be included... but that would just be silly! EDIT: Nevermind, my eyes suddenly started working and I see that it's visible through the front window of...

    3D Blu-Ray thread

There's been talk of 'Order of the Phoenix' and 'Half-Blood Prince' being released in 3D, but I'm pretty sure that's only due to the fact that they were partially converted for their IMAX theatrical releases. I haven't heard anything about King Kong being converted, but now that I've searched...

Star Trek Into Darkness Starfleet Phaser LE Set Blu-ray 3D $79.99 Pre Order - Amazon

I see the Amazon page has a bunch of text touting that the phaser replica is "exactly the same as the ones in the movie" and I can't help but think I'll be disappointed if I don't decide to cancel this preorder... oh well. Thanks for the heads up! This looks like a great deal and I hope it...

    3D Blu-Ray thread

I, on the other hand, don't really care for the movie itself, but I thought the conversion was very well done! It seems almost as if it was shot in 3D with great little touches like the contrails of the jets having their own clearly defined 3D "layers." I'd almost say that the 3D conversion...

(DEAD) Best Buy Upgrade & Save Returns 4/21-5/11

The DVDs are worth "nothing"... you just get a $5 coupon for each applicable (read: mass-produced, non-pornography) DVD. This why people are giving BB a whole bunch of $1 or cheaper titles from dollar stores!

    3D Blu-Ray thread

Well, if Best Buy allows both a Manufacturer and BB coupon in the same transaction (I'm not sure about this) you should be able to get it for $19.99 after this coupon and an "Upgrade and Save" coupon. Knowing Best Buy, however, I don't think this is going to happen.

(DEAD) Ten years of Red Vs Blue Blu-ray $60 @ Amazon

I'd be surprised if it did, since it's apparently a Rooster Teeth Store and Best Buy exclusive.

[Amazon] Who Framed Roger Rabbit 25th Anniversary Blu-ray - $16.99 (Best Buy PM)

Touchstone Pictures, to be exact... In general, that's an incredibly stupid reason to junk a whole bunch of cardboard sleeves and an incredibly stupid mistake to make in the first place: why would they even make new 4:3 DVDs of anything not originally shot in 4:3!?

    3D Blu-Ray thread

Why? Isn't that big enough for PC gaming? If people want TVs that size for console gaming, I don't see why they wouldn't want the same size for PC gaming...

(DEAD) Best Buy Avengers Blu-ray 3D Exclusive Set $19.99 - In Store Only

I really dislike the a-hole from the Milwaukee area who happened to buy all of the copies from every BB in the area. I was considering getting one and just selling off the 3d Combo Pack since I already have the Target version with the extra disc and a lenticular slipcover to spare... I hope he...
