Get 3D Land, it's a great game. The problem with Kid Icarus is that the flight levels are very fun and the landscapes and backgrounds are gorgeous but all the on ground parts are awful. The controls are very wonky. The fact that it comes with a stand kind of says something about the controls.

I've been using 7 since RC2 and haven't had any problems at all. Why not just dual boot XP and 7 if you're concerned about the compatibility of old games?
