I don't feel like I've improved, per se. I feel like better players have joined this league. I don't see a big difference between Cru and some of the others who migrated over here from the main league. So, to me, this isn't really a JV league any more ...
I'd agree with this to an extent. I feel that when this league started, we were all very much on the same level. And I do feel that some players who came over were a notch above most of us in here (LV, staticz, tanabeo). But also, several of the people who were here from the beginning have gotten a lot better (pitfallharry, superstar, DVO, Blade3D, doc, etc) and those people have beaten the "ones who came over" on several occasions. I'd even wager that some of those people are now BETTER than some of the ones in the main league who didn't come over. At some point, it all just starts to blur together.
I made a post in the official league thread about it, but for Madden 13, I don't envision having an actual "JV League", but what I half-jokingly called a "Gentleman's League". It would basically be no nonsense. Zero tolerance for running up scores, showboating, abusing exploits (which would be clearly defined whenever we learn what joys Madden 13 has in store for us), missing games (we'd have some kind of strike system again), disrespecting people in the thread (something I've been trying to work on myself), and generally just being a troublemaker.
Punishment for violating these terms would be strictly enforced, with an understanding that no one is above getting the boot. Regardless of people's skill level, what I don't want to go through next year is needing to have discussions on what playing fair and respecting your opponent actually means. Considering the potential for returning players and/or overflow from the main league, we should all know how to handle ourselves. But I won't have the patience for dptang0's, og_whitewidow's, or damailman's. That's at least my goal for Madden 13.
