It’s been almost three months since we launched PS Vita here in the U.S. and we’re continuing to find ways to add to your portable entertainment experience. With the recent launch of non-gaming apps such as Paint Park, Treasure Park and Wake Up Club, the PS Vita is an ever-evolving platform that keeps you connected to the content and experiences that are most important to all of you gamers.
What PSP games are you most excited to play on PS Vita?

Thanks Frisky. I'm in the process of updating the original post as we speak. One thing that's confusing me, though, is the absence of PixelJunk Monsters on the official list. Q-Games' trailer said it should be available on the store today but this list contradicts that. Wonder why.

EDIT: The list is up to date with the games confirmed for today. Once I get home I'll re-check my PS Vita store and revise the list as needed. The Coming Soon list won't be updated until those appear on the store itself.

I did notice that some of those games on the list were previously Red on the list. I have to wonder how the Vitas will get updated to ensure these are playable and, depending on the method, if this means that new games will reach Blue status.

They seem to have taken that comment out of the post.

Another one missing that should have been included on that list is Velocity.

Apparently you can download it from the Vita on the European store and it works great, but it won't let you download it on the Vita from the US store :(

This list is US-focused, so if it doesn't work here, it's not changing on the list.

It was mentioned on the PS Blogcast that the rest of the games on the list would be added to the Vita's store over the next two weeks.

Does anyone have army of two and can check compatibility for me. this game is awsome and im looking for some good co-op games but i dont want to pay $20 for it and find out it doesnt work.

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe is finally available via the Vita PSN Store. I just tested it, and it's working in North America. I've edited the Wiki and it's awaiting approval.

crap, I was hoping Velocity would be added for North America today...

at least there are a few PSP Minis that I owned on that list, thanks for posting it!

Question for ya Mr. Tanuki (I refuse to call you Frisky, I don't swing that way): Do you know why the word "French" was added to the end of Untold Legends: The Warrior’S Code on the updated titles list? Does this mean it's only playable by those in the birthplace of champagne?

Which PSP or Mini's do you guys think are the best bang for the buck? I wish Sony had more PSP games in the $5 range, but they seem to be quite a bit higher than that...

Guerrilla War is on the PS Vita store, but I'm unable to download it from the store.

When I hit the Download button it takes me to my download list (as I got it via PS+) and says it cannot be downloaded on a PS Vita system.

It should be working now.

They've confirmed that more PSP games are coming to the Vita store on Tuesday with 10 that they could announce right now, so there may be more by the time the next update happens.

The list:
Astro Boy: The Video Game
Ben 10 Alien Force
Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks
Ben 10: Protector of Earth
Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction
Despicable Me
Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4
Marvel Super Hero Squad
No Gravity: The Plague of Mind
The Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun

I've heard a lot of theories to explain why Sony isn't making their wealth of PSP games available to the Vita. I'm curious about your opinions. Here are some theories:

- It's difficult and time consuming to port PSP games to Vita
- It takes time to acquire licenses from the developers, to use the PSP games on the Vita
- Sony is witholding PSP games to provide a slow drip of content, while developers create new Vita games
- Sony is witholding PSP games, to drive sales of pricier made-for-Vita content
- Sony is witholding PSP games, with intent to make a big reveal later and generate buzz at an industry showcase like E3
- The hacker exploits are more widespread than Sony admitted to, and they are slowly patching PSP games to prevent the exploit
- Sony is simply dropping the ball, slacking on moving PSP content and Minis to the Vita

The issues as they've said before is that they have to test the games again to make sure they work well with the Vita's PSP emulator along with making sure the licenses are up-to-date so that they can be sold on the Vita. The rumor I've heard is that they only have a few people doing the testing, so the process of doing that isn't as fast as it could be. Looking at the OP, games that are green are tested and licensed for sale on Vita, blue are tested without updated licenses, and red are not tested yet.

It also probably helps when the publisher is involved in the process to make sure everything is moving as smoothly as possible.

Here are the games that have been added to the Vita's PS Store this week:
Damn it! Where is Resistance Retribution???
This is the main one I want that's not available. Really want to try it out with dual analog sticks.

lol Sony probably wants us to buy Burning Skies first. I suspect Retribution it'll be up in the near future. Still the Vita game is pretty good but I know when I'm done with it I'll be itching for more portable Resistance.

I really hope they get Motorstorm: Arctic Edge up soon, especially since it popped up in NA just recently for PSP (not Vita compatible yet).

You are ASSUMING they will make the second stick work with the game. Don't get your hopes up

How would it not? It's a basic feature of the PSP emulator.

I was figuring it was this. They had a full blown Vita game coming and didn't want folks jumping for the cheaper thing while pushing it.

One hopes. I heard some PSN stores still have it on there. boooooo

So, I see that two games on this list are playable through the PS3 by transferring them onto the Vita. The problem is that I don't have a PS3.... Can anyone give me advise in what I should be doing or if there's any way i can download them? I already purchased them back in 2009.

I'm really confused on whats going on with PSone games. Do we get them all 'this summer', or is it just small packages at a time?

A report from a rep at the e3 vita floor says the whole ps1 library will be available with the firmware update and you wont have to re-buy.

The PS1 games are playable on the vita on the e3 floor, though with limited settings and certain games. The firmware update is set to include screen adjustment and control mapping, as expected like the PSP got. They also look beautiful on the OLED screen.

Id expect the update in July. The reason for the long delay was for merely licensing issues. Nothing technical.

Bah, still no Resistance: Retribution on the US store, even though its up on the Euro PSN. Anybody know how the Medal of Honor games play?

Good news.

"Anybody know how the Medal of Honor games play?"

It's not perfect, but even fake dual analog is better than using the face buttons, and you don't have to stop moving like some of the other control options (such as having to hold down a shoulder button to switch the analog to aim, which is more accurate but make you a sitting duck). It's not nearly as precise, with only eight directions, but it feels more natural.

I don't know if this list is still being updated, but despite Manhunt 2 not being on the Vita store, the "transfer from PS3" method does work for it. Hope this helps :)

Rest assured, the list is always being updated. There haven't been any new games for the PSP on PSN at all but Frisky has been doing a great job at keeping up with official releases to the Vita store and others have done well at putting in updates also.

Unless Sony starts putting out more PSP games on PSN, though, the list will remain fairly static save for the Minis section.

These are the PSP games and Minis that have been added to the Vita's PS Store:

PSP
Dante’s Inferno
FIFA Soccer 11
FIFA Soccer 12
Fight Night Round 3
Madden NFL 12
Me & My Katamari
Need for Speed: Carbon

Minis
Bloons TD
Fieldrunners
A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks!
Sudoku
Tetris
Where is my Heart?

An Atlus strategy game called Gungnir--apparently it's another game based on Norse mythology--was released on PSN yesterday. I added it to the list, if nobody beat me to it, as a gray title. Has anybody with a vita and PSP tested it yet? It only appears in the PSP-only section of the PS3 store, and like most new PSP releases likely won't transfer to Vita right away, but there needs to be some kind of confirmation.
