Yeah...still no list, BUT

CAGs have been mentioning lists received by stores and new price markings taking place. Its all a matter of us drilling employees for info or attaining the list.

Just noticed the Game days sale ad in the latest game informer. Last year's sale was pretty decent so its worth a thread. I'll try to post the ad and coupon later. Best part is the coupon doesn't say anything about being void if copied. No specifics yet on the sale.

"Hundreds of games and accessories up to 50% off"

Things to note:
- Should stack with edge (assuming there are used deals).
- Offer ends 6/30/08
- If you know the specifics, let us know!

10% on the Edge card is only on used items so there's not going to be any stacking assuming the items are new, like last year.

In the new Gamestop marketing (starts Monday) Viking is only $29.99

They sent the signs and all for the Game Days (Yes, it runs June 2 -> June 30) but unfortunately did not send a list of sale items yet.

Last year, the sale was almost entirely made up of older titles. I wouldn't count on it.
 
not sure if it has been mentioned yet, because i don't really feel like reading this whole thread, but last years gamestop game days sale consisted of ONLY new games, not used. If the same holds true for this year, it would render the edge stack irrelevant.

I have a King's Quest Collection I got from last year's sale, I hope they put Space Quest Collection in the sale again as I didn't bother last year. A sale on Oblivion Game of the Year Edition would also be really nice (though I'm not counting on that, they'll probably just clearance the regular game and expansions).
 
last year some of the gamestops gutted all the new games here and displayed them in a 50% off sale bin while the other's had them all sealed in a bin
 
I didn't read through the entire thread, but I was going to start this once I got a list of what will be a part of this sale. I briefly mentioned it in this week's GS email coupon thread.
 
Tag. Only picked up Mushashi last year, didnt know about the sale until 2 weeks after it started, so nothing much was left.

Hopefully this time I'll be in there on the 2nd and find some cheap games!

Who cares? Last gen games are just as enjoyable now as they were then, and there's plenty of them on my list of games I want to play.
 
Finally a sale that starts on a day I'm off. Last year I didn't know about the sale till the day it ended, but was able to pick up the Sierra Adventure Game Packs (Kings Quest, Space Quest, etc..), and a few other titles for dirt cheap. Hopefully they have some good deals this time
 
I can't wait, finally I can buy used games at a reasonable price.
Crud, this might be my last chance to buy Fire Emblem for GC... That last sale cleaned out the GS where I wanted to buy it.

I kind of doubt we'll see any of the games from last year go on sale again; from what I've seen, a lot of stores didn't restock stuff from Game Days once it'd sold out.

Thanks for the info on Viking.. it seems as though being 41 in line (and #3 active) got me a match through goozex for it in a matter of hours anyway when I requested it last night.

As far as I remember from last year, there weren't many blockbuster titles, but there were a whole bunch of quirky, fun B-list titles available. I'll definitely be checking it out.. hopefully there'll be some good current-gen titles in there by now.
 
Actually I believe after the sale ended they marked everything used and put it on the shelves. If I remember correctly it became around $5 more as well.
 
After the sale they marked stuff used and put it on the shelf. However your better off buying during the sale or just after when they put the stuff used because afterwards they marked everything up again as time ticked on, so if you see something you want during the sale and you like the price, buy it right then and there. The used prices will be slightly lower right after the sale ends, but some time after that the prices will go up again.

I forgot where it was, but there was a part in this forum (or another one like this) about like it was texas only.
 
I remember this last year, some pretty good deals to be had.

It was only on new games, they had like a display in the middle of the store full of sealed copies of games and UMD movies on sale. They like ship new games they are overstocked on to the various stores to sell for the clearance, as they were boxes just opened full of multiple copies of what was on sale.
 
At the store I work at, I was looking at the upcoming shipment and I saw Odin Sphere and Katamari Damacy on there. So I'm guessing those 2 might be on the sale.
 
If it's true, Odin Sphere is the only game I'd pick up so far. I remember last year, the Castlevania GBA game was one of the few worthwhile titles that was on sale.

Luckily, I can head to my GS near work when they open to pick up games I'd want immediately.
 
I'd love to have a sealed copy of Odin Sphere and Katamari. I hope that's true :)

Also, do any of you know: Do Gamestops ever sell their games sealed in plastic? It seems to me most open them, keep the discs in the front of the store and put a ton of ugly yellow stickers on the front/back/insert (I hate when they put it on the artwork directly!). Also, if you order a new game from Gamestop online I assume it should come factory-sealed? Any help would be great. Thanks for all the info on Game Days OP and others!
