I was actually listening to a IGN podcast yesterday where they said that Irrational did a second batch of these and thats why we are seeing so many now.

This wouldve been a great CE if they had stuck to their original numbers, now I just feel like im holding a regular edition.

Ah, thanks for the info. I suppose they didn't mention the print number of the second batch.
 
I jumped in on this when Amazon listed the second batch a few days ago, but within an hour, I changed my mind and cancelled it. I just couldn't see paying the full cost for the statue(as that is the only thing of value in the set for me). Amazon did send me the free code, so I guess that was cool, as I can use it when ever I actually buy the game.
 
Preordered the PC version from GameStop, went to pick it up yesterday and of course they didn't have it. Wish I had ordered it from Amazon it the first place, but I waited too long and they had sold out until now. Already got the standard version on PC so now I don't really care to spend another $150. Last time I ever fuck with GameStop though.

Just got mines from amazon, they did a great job of double boxing it. I have the same feelings about spending $150 on this but it just feels worth it from the packaging and the statue itself. Hope other CAGs manage to get this if it drops in price.

Same, I had to have it, and did not want to regret trying to get it later for a lower price, then see it go oos!
 
The statue is very nice looking in person. If I wasn't so amped to play the game, maybe I would have waited for a price drop but I'm happy with the quality so I've got no buyer's remorse. Good luck to those who are holding out.

The statue is not that great, regardless of how it looks like the pics. Given the items ample availability, I'd bet they produced a lower quality statue and jacked up production.
 
It's all preference, but as someone with a shit ton of statues in his house (several past the $400 mark,) it looks real good next to em. It's clearly a lighter, weaker material, but it looks very solid.

Given their track record though, I was giving them my money either way. I've yet to be let down by a game in the franchise. I just consider this my thanks for em.
 
It's letting me add 999 of the 360 version to my cart. Did they really get another 500+ more in stock? Or is my phone being stupid?

Picked mine up yesterday at GameStop, love it, totally worth the $150 for me, I love all things bioshock and I'm happy to have it, if it does end up seeing a price drop it will just give me a reason to get another!
 
I kind of wish the statue was the Handyman instead of the bird but I'm happy with it. The keychain is very cool. The handyman game piece is really lame and I am still disappointed with how small the "poster" thing is. Especially considering how cool the Bioshock 2 posters were.

As a collector and seems a big backlog, I pre-ordered this edition when first posted awhile back. In hopes that it was limited and can add to my collection. But now recieving it from amazon where the plastic display windows was scratch where it was in an amazon box inside another box which was the exact one that amazon got is making me get a refund. Another part is that is not really limited nowadays like older type's collector editions where it was truly limited. I will wait for the $50-70 price drop before picking up again.
 
I ended up picking this up at GameStop with all my credit. I have one on the way from Amazon. If I return to sender this, so I don't have to pay return shipping, what risks do I run?

Some people have claimed that abusing the returns system can get you banned from Amazon, such as wrong return status to avoid return fees or rapid returns in a short time frame. However, these audits are somewhat random.
 
Just got mine in the mail today, its AWESOME, and if you are not sure whether to get it or not, GET IT! I am very glad I did not wait for a price drop like I originally intended!

I am gonna wait it out and if it is still around I will pick it up. If not, oh well, no biggie. (Not a huge fan of bioshock anyway. First game didn't really impress me that much.)

it is under review, probably because of shipment getting damaged ie: metal gear rising revengence collectors edition issue. Some will probably show up in amazon warehouse soon.

Gamestop's out, Amazon's almost out of PS3 (I heard that they were given a second printing, guess that was it)

this wasn't supposed to happen, this was supposed to be another Skyrim CE, I was supposed to get this 5 months later at $60 :hot:

I want a genuine leather wrapped statue with rough canvas wings. If this happens then I don't care how much it costs. But, everything has to be plastic :(
