Group Buys - Updated 05/20

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

Free Stuff
There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.
Past Special Sales
Visit www.steamgamesales.com to check previous sale prices on Steam games. We do keep track of some older sales here though:
Lots of speculation that it'll be tomorrow; if not then, this weekend for sure. Can't see them starting it much later than that, personally. But we'll see.

My body is ready.
Your body? Will you be selling yourself on the local corner to pay off the Steam debt?

I have become such a casual gamer over the years (and a Mac user) that the only thing I really want to get out of the sale is CS:S. Wouldn't mind it going to $5ish w/ a 4 pack.

Did you just say you've become such a casual gamer, all you want is COUNTERSTRIKE?

Is there some sort of relationship between these terms I'm not seeing? This question doesn't seem to make sense.

Counterstrike is about as anti-casual as you can get.

CSS has been at $5 several times. So I'm 99.9% sure it'll go for $5 some time during the sale.
I guess he means casual in the sense he doesn't want to be all around where he plays all the new game releases.
Or that he wants to stop being casual. That's what I think.
WE NEED HIM TO COMMENT ON THESE RUMORS AND SPECULATION! :hot:

Section 8: Prejudice has the gunplay mechanics and control of Halo mixed with the teamwork and large maps of Battlefield. It's really very cool and intense, I'd definitely recommend it.

Oh good lord, Summer Sale is here. If some games go cheap, I might just buy them for future playing when I do get a better computer since Steam always keeps them ready to go :D.

My wallet is going to be hit hard.
I didn't have a gaming PC last year. Now I do, and I couldn't be more stoked for the Summer Sale.
This happened to me at the winter sale.... lol. a nice $60 later, and I had a reasonable library going

You guys are hilarious. It's like you're a bunch of middle-aged women waiting outside of a mall for the doors to open on big-sale day. (Yes, I'm excited too).
Wonder how the fallout on the steam forums would go if there wasn't a steam sale today XD
Steam sale includes Fallout, confirmed?! Awesome!!!! :bouncy:

(j/k)

We're kinda like this.

Likewise. Now that I'm a fully-fledged member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race (and still a card carrying member of the Dirty Console Peasants ) I'm ready to catch up on some good games.

I feel stupid for buying the valve complete pack about month ago when I was new to steam and had no knowledge of this sale. Oh well, live and learn I guess. Hoping for some good deals

Yeah that's a great price considering Portal 2 is $50 by itself. Of course that'll go on sale too.

Keep your eyes peeled for mistakes, guys. it's happened the past couple of times where valve makes a mistake on the price(usually in our favor), and it gets corrected relatively quickly.
Counterstrike is about as anti-casual as you can get.
Really? You sure you're not just using the "casual = games I don't like" definition?

Jesus, buy Portal 2 and get every other Valve Game Free.

Valve seriously outdone themselves here.

Kinda worthless for me seeing the only games I don't have is HL1, The Day of Defeat games, Counterstrike and Condition Zero and Ricochet but damn nonetheless.
