This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Nothing new today, so I decided to humor myself and head over to Goodwill to see what salvaged out.

Those 360 Arcade sticks were at Goodwill for $24.99, as were the Woody faceplates ($9.99) and Chillstream PS3 controllers ($9.99). However, something caught my eye.

My Goodwill has 2 copies of The Orange Box (PC) for $4.99. They're complete (disks, manuals, and cases), but since they've been salvaged, the cases are pretty wrecked (one has the barcode Sharpied over, the other had it removed, and the plastic casing is pretty gouged up) and they're no longer sealed. The disks are brand new, but the cases are another story. I'd have picked them up myself, but I've got a Mac so PC games are useless to me. If anyone wants them, let me know and I'll swing back today before work to pick them up. I realize they're not the greatest, so I don't expect to make much (read - anything) on them - cost + 5 or 6 for shipping?

Whaa? How in the world did Orange Box show up at Goodwill already? A player might have dumped one copy if he really hated it...but two? And I've seen Target clearance stuff prematurely but this is ridiculous. Although...I have seen Target put a brand new release on clearance when a particular loaction receives it by mistake and the sku wasn't entered into the system.

Why the hell do I worry about stuff like this?

I bet you need activation codes just to play it offline, right? Based on my Half-Life Anthology experience.
 
Picked up Def Jam Icon for the PS3 for $14.98. It's out of the system and came up as item not found at the scanner and register. She entered the DCPI number and it came up. It was tagged $14.98 so even she manually entered it I figured I would get it for the right price regardless.

I just told myself today that I am not going to buy a ton of games for the PS3 only because they are cheap and here, the same day I get the system I already started to build my collection of cheap games.
 
Man, I really hope Target has Tomb Raider Legends in stock still, I've been waiting for that to drop to 7.50, I KNEW I should have checked while I was there today.
 
Call of Juarez is still 29.98 here in Atlanta. Price check scanners weren't working so I had to get somebody to use a hand scanner so it's possible that it's out of system and they just told me the last price.
 
I dunno if this has been mentioned yet or not, but I was able to snag the last 2 "Psyclone" brand wireless guitars for Guitar Hero for $12.46 each. They were marked down from $49.99. I was told that someone returned them but they didn't have a location for them so they just marked them down. It's brand new, never used too. Just in time for GH3, pretty good don't you say :)

I was just at my local Target and looked through the clearance endcaps, nothing much but I did find 2 copies of NBA Homecourt for :ps3: for $4.98 each! I wasn't able to purchase them because I was in a hurry (read: the Spouse was with me and wanted to look at girly shi*) :ziplip: so I stashed them pretty well. Planning on going back 1st thing in the morning and getting them to flip at GS for the trade 2 get an extra $10 deal they have going.

Cagwiki says the trade in value is $10 so with the edge card and the extra $10 that's a pretty good investment.


And I don't have a :ps3:
 
Am I the only one that finds Target clearance endcaps that are full of iPod cases? I might see an old beat up PC game once in a while, but I haven't found anything else on the clearance endcap lately. You guys are finding some decent deals. I'm finding... nothing!

I did find the nearby Goodwill store, so I might have to hit that up this weekend.

I hear ya God that's the first decent find I've had at Target in quite some time so don't feel bad, just keep checking and eventually you will score a deal!

It's not a clearance rack if it doesn't have iPod cases. I haven't seen any endcaps that lacked them. Sadly, most of them are for the Nano V1 & 2 and the normal one. Looks like my Mini will be stuck in custom black Italian leather.... from China.

Can't go wrong for those prices. The demo for Def Jam didn't live up to my hopes, but I finally started playing GRAW which I got for 15 from Best Buy last spring and it's awesome.

Cokecola filled us in on the long stickers a few pages back. They are generally used for damaged items or items that are at that Target erroneously and they are usually a fantastic deal. As far as these items go, I've seen a Ultimate James Bond set for Blueray for half off, several blueray movies for 2 bucks, and some workout equipment. Tonight I found EyeToy Kinetic for 5, a bunch of CDs for 1.xx each and MASH Season 1 DVD for 7. I actually picked up MASH and the Eyetoy.
 
The target I went to earlier didn't have much. The most noteworthy, gamewise, was All Pro Football 2k8 for $20.98. I wouldn't snagged it, but I figure by the time I really want it, the price will have dropped further elsewhere.

Any a similar, but not game related note, Target had some sleek-looking phones on clearance.

Went to the Target here in Midland, MI yesterday and found some Sony Brand Component Cables for PS3 for $4.98 clearanced. They also had S-Video Cables for 3.XX.

I am sure it is YMMV, and sorry if this has already been posted.

Thanks for contributing with your 9th post since July, 2006. And also, thanks for starting all of those threads with new deals you have found. You know, it's lurkers like you that ruin it for other people. If you don't have anything positive to contribute and all you can do is criticize then just shut up :ziplip: .

I'm going this morning to my Target to get some nice big comfortable chairs for my gaming room. I'll let you guys know if I find anything.
 
After reading back a few pages I noticed that some people are finding C&C3 at around $40. My Target has them at ~30. Yours might by now as well.

Unfortunately there are only three of them left, I hope they survive until the next drop.
 
If you can pick me up some PS3 component cables, I will pay you back + your time and troubles. These got gobbled up at my local Target right before I got a PS3. Thanks in advance.
 
I didn't see much of anything new to speak of in my searching this past week. Saw All-Pro Football 2k8 drop to $14.98 at one store, but I think I'll hold off to see if it drops lower. Saw GRAW 2 for the PC clearanced at ~$35 :roll:. Everything else was the same clearance stuff that's been reported by other CAGs, with no notable drops. Hope we're not about to enter another dry spell.

Sounds to me you didn't find it you had it hid so no one else had a chance to buy it. That is so wrong , what do they teach you in your stupid schools where you live? Oh by the way i dont live in alabama :cry: nor do i live in your stupid state where people resort to hide video games.

On another note, sounds like I better hit up my Target again, I wouldn't mind snagging a couple of those cheap PS3 games.

What the difference if I buy them on the spot or if I buy them literally 12 hours later? You may find the stashing of games for future purchase distasteful but I bet most CAG'ers would agree that it is totally acceptable. Wouldn't you rather have someone that is a member of CAG reap the rewards or some other person who is not a member and probably has plenty of money come along and get lucky? I'm always out looking for deals to report and though I have only started one new thread I think that I deserve the deal that I found even if I was unable to pay for it at that moment.

I just don't understand your logic.

I would give someone some extra money as well for some. I saw some off brand at walmart. It is a 3 thing that lets you use it on the wii or xbox360 or ps3 and it cost 19.99 I though about it,but they probley suck. I would like the offical ones :D
 
Found four of the Mad Catz Arcade Sticks (360) at a local Goodwill tagged at $9.99. Are they worth picking up for that price?
