Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Yeah, that link is a nice concept but the two Targets I went to yesterday for sure didn't have Folklore and the site says they do.

Same thing happened to me.

Two of the three games I'm interested in(Folklore and Jericho) are showing up as IN STOCK locally for me, but chances are they aren't in stock, since the other local store listed with them IN STOCK didn't have them the last time I went down there to check.

So, just like the Gamestop inventory counter, Target's is either woefully out of date or someone stashed these games REALLY WELL.

$20 is very reasonable all things considered (I don't want one because I don't have a PS3 but would have picked it up if I saw it for later).

The prices ARE YMMV in that stores drop them at different times. $14.98 seems to be the lowest now (and probably as low as they will go as that is 75% off) but other stores will still be at $29.98 or $41.98.

IAmTheCheapestGamer - I find the GS inventory tracking to be MUCH better. Yeah, it might take a day to update but it is usually correct for something they didn't just sell out of that very day. But considering that Folklore wasn't at these 2 Target stores yesterday saying they have it now is just not right.

I noticed a post a day or two ago, where someone said that the DPCI #'s for different games represented the systems they were on(the first FIVE numbers anyway). Yet, I just re-checked Jericho for PS3 and it has a different set of numbers than the other PS3 games.

DPCI: 241-12-4812-for Jericho for PS3

I'm going to check out my closest Target tomorrow and use the DPCI#'s on the scanners and see if any of the games I'm looking for are in stock locally.

I was in the same situation where the website stated availability and nothing on the shelf. I asked an associate for a stock check using the DPCI and they had plenty of copies available stored in the warehouse.

I saw several copies of Stranglehold (regular edition) for the 360 at Target in Albuquerque for, get this, $41.98!!! I can't believe they were so high. The freaking new MSRP is $39.99... I figure they're going to have them for a while.... a looooooooong while.

EDIT... I just checked Amazon, and the collector's edition is available for $34.99 ( a good deal in my opinion)... I guess I'm just surprised because the Targets around here are usually on the ball with this kind of stuff.

Check the Target on 168th & Maple in Omaha tonight on the way home. Got Folklore for $29.98 and there are still 3 copies there. Figure I'll check back this weekend to see if the price dropped. ZERO computer games at this one.

Like the other stores in town, Blue Dragon for $29.98. If I find one at $14.98, I'd purchase it. Got one more to hit tomorrow or Thursday after work.

Nothing awesome at that store. Wish I'd have hit the store that was closing tonight on 132nd & Center. Doubt they moved the clearance inventory to the new store. Looks like I drew the wrong night to have the kid this week.

This is very YMMV as stated by most in this thread. My Target has the regular version for $29.98.

Called up 6 Targets in my (+ parents') area today, the Targets at Clark, NJ and Fairfield, NJ still have a lot of Folklore at $14.98. There's 2 other Targets that had Ninja Gaiden Sigma at $29.98...anyone know what the price adjustment policy is at Target?

In any case, I picked up an extra copy of Folklore...anyone have a Ninja Gaiden Sigma to trade for Folklore? PM me!

Great, another clearance thread I have to keep up with. DAMN THIS SITE!!!

P.S. A search of this thread yielded no results, but can anyone clarify what "Limited Availability" REALLY means? I think it means the inventory is wrong, as this same Target gives me that message on both of the Halo 3 controllers.

Clearanced over a year ago at most targets (part of the rare YMMV set including Kameo, DOA4 non PH among others) and went out of system a couple months ago at the rest. Had one in my hand and denied

I saw several copies of Stranglehold (regular edition) for the 360 at Target in Albuquerque for, get this, $41.98!!! I can't believe they were so high. The freaking new MSRP is $39.99... I figure they're going to have them for a while.... a looooooooong while.

They do this a lot. See Crackdown (all 500 in one pic on the last page, wow and all 300 in another on the page before, insane) and Blue Dragon. Sometimes they start the clearance base price from original MSRP ($60) instead of the current one. I even saw Far Cry start at 60 at one store and 40 at another. Don't know if one was mistagged the whole time to 75% off or what. Anyway, you saw it at $42 at 30% off and here it's 50% off at 29.98. Would be nice if they clearanced them from the current MSRP as 7.50 sure beats 15. Oh well. 15 still beats 30.

Should be marked with a small red sticker. Most of them are located on endcaps, whereas some are in the cases.
