This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

OK, I checked the first page and didn't see it mentioned, but isn't there a 2 pack of PS2 memory cards going for cheap now @ Target?

I'm asking because my one friend just recently got a PStwo, but hasn't bought a memory card yet. I figure I'd break the pack in two and keep the one as a spare for myself and give him the other if they're cheap enough.

Yes/No?

Yes there is. It's the one with a blue card and a red card. They went fast in my area, so you may have trouble finding one.

At this point, it would be under $10 for sure.
 
Ya know, I think I've seen those in my area at one of the two Target stores around here. I should check my closest one tomorrow, though the clearance prices aren't very up to date many times. But hell, even if they're $15 for 2 cards I'd grab them.

Yes/No?[/quote]In my area the PS2 memory card red/blue 2 packs were part of the group that got salvaged after 50% like the Logitech wireless PS2 controller that got clearanced, the Madcatz 360 Arcade stick, and NBA Homecourt for 360 among others. There was one store that had one pack left here and I was there when an employee was pulling items from the shelves and putting them in a cart. I didn't look in the cart and totally forgot about the memory cards being clearanced at the same time as the other 50% salvaged items until after I left and got to work. I just presumed they sold between the day before and then. I should have looked in her cart and asked for them as she said that I could buy the 360 stick for the price in her hand scanner or else she had to cart it so she would have been cool with it. 50% off was a really good deal and I really kicked myself as I need more memory cards with all of the great deals I've gotten because of CAG, especially the Best Buy clearance of last spring. Some CAGs have reported that arcade sticks and logitech controllers in their areas dropped to 75% instead of getting clearanced like most stores so you may have a chance. Interestingly enough, all of those salvaged items were pulled at my stores except Homecourt which has been out of system all this time, but remains on shelves.

Heh, a local Target has around *24* copies of 360 Homecourt marked at $21, and they ring up at that price.

I hope that game goes down to around $5.

Also found :xbox: Tony Hawk Wasteland for $2.54. I couldn't bring myself to buy it even at that price, as I only liked THPS 1&2

How does a game marked for salvage not only hang around this long in big quantities, but also still get markdowns?

I don't think its in Targets system, therefore it was as-is. There were a few left when I bought mine but I have been too lazy to go back and buy the rest. Will be doing it today though.

I, too, am confused about the race thingy.

And CheapestGamer, the 2 pack of memory cards are pretty much gone. They were probably salvaged early at most Targets because I only saw them once after the first drop and none since. :( I was hoping to wait to another drop but then they all disappeared.
 
Well, hopefully since the only Goodwills around by me are 40-60 minutes away or more, they have them sitting in the back someplace and I can ask them to bring a pack out or something.

I've found other good clearance items before when people said they would've probably 'disappeared' too, so I'll definitely keep looking.

FWIW, these are in the "cheap game aisle" in my local store. The shelf tag is $29.99. I might swing by after work for a few non-gaming items, but I'll try to scan one.

The "as is" deals are extremely YMMV.
 
Just came from the White Plains Target. Saw Lost Planet for the PC for $20 and Rome Total War Gold Edition for $13.xx. Also peeped some Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Strategy Guides for $7.xx. PSP Slim cables were also dropped from $13.xx to $7.xx. I saw both component and composite cables.

Like the others have stated, there is an assload of NBA Street Homecourt for the 360 stacked up in a little nook by the DVD section. Still waiting for it to drop to the sub $20 range.

Decided to finally jump on the last STALKER they had for $7.48. Might just keep it sealed and see if anyone is interested in buying/trading for it.

I don't think distance matters. The nearest Target to me is about 30-40 minutes away but my local Goodwill (about a minute away) gets stuff from Target all the time. Nothing good like a Guitar Hero II (or was it III) that someone found though.
 
Just got back from the Target in Montgomeryville, PA, and they had a shitload of Tony Hawk Proving Ground Limited Edition for Xbox 360 on clearance for $29.50. Didn't see it anywhere in this thread, but FYI be on the lookout...

The nearest Target to me is about 15 minutes drive, while the other closest one is 20 or so minutes drive. Of course, that all depends on traffic, weather conditions and the like, but it's definitely good to have a couple right close by to me.

Sick part is, I think I have seen the memory cards, but wasn't 100% sure I saw them in the clearance thread, so I never had them PC'd. But, knowing that they're supposed to be cheap now, I will definitely have them checked if I see them again.
 
Has Virtual Tennis dropped below $20 or was that just a Black Friday deal?

Anyone in the LA/OC area have any luck finding Oblivion PS3 for $14.98? I just came from the Manhattan Beach location and the Oblivions rang up at $29.99. Also, anyone find any DoA: Extreme Volleyball 2 for 360 at the $14.98 price?

Just came from a Target in the Chicago area (not sure where, as I am new to the area), and they had a bunch of DOAV2 for 15 bucks.
 
Just picked up Tony Hawk's Proving Ground LE for 29.50 Not bad. They had F4: ROTSS it rang up not found but the guy was like how about $20? No thanks though.
 
Picked up Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl (PC) today for $7.48.

They had a good amount of what was mentioned here. This was the Novato, CA Target for any locals interested.

i picked up a copy of virtua fighter 5 for 19.98 at the target in diamond bar, ca. i was hoping to get rogue galaxy for less than that price, but they were all gone. oddly, dark kindgom for ps3 was going for 24.98. i'm hoping to pick that up if it gets lowered.
 
OK, as I expected, no PS2 memory card two packs and I guess I wasn't charming enough to the clerk in electronics to try and get them to look in the back for a possible 2 pack of them.

Ahhhh well......this is what I get for not keeping up on this thread.

I did, however, find one of the older version PS2 Cordless Action Controllers from Logitech in the old packaging and all, plus I saw one of the same for Xbox.

Weren't the older ones clearanced out when they changed the packaging over? And really, there weren't any XBox games in the store, except for the Platinum Hits/GH game section along the back wall.
 
went back to check up on f4ss that got restickered. i didnt tear it off as much as i just moved it up some so the original upc would scan. sadly, out of system :(

Check the Target in Inglewood. I have seen 2 or 3 copies of DoA during the past 3 weeks.
 
picked up Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales for $14.98.not so cheapass but oh well. i did see Alien Syndrome for $24.98, DOA Xtreme 2 $14.98 and Killzone Liberations $19.98.
 
Friday: found Pop Cap Vol. 1 - didn't scan, but clerk typed it up, and it rang up $29.99; no 1600 points cards (they did have the Halo3 ones, though); they had a few Oblivion for PS3 (shelf-tagged at $29.99, but I didn't scan any).

Saturday: different store. Pop Cap scanned (new bar code on back) at $29.99; no points cards, Virtua Tennis 3 had a new bar code (2-day sale), and scanned at $19.99.
 
I've had the least amount of luck with Target clearance prices/items compared to other stores. My locale never seems to have prices consistent with the ones being posted on deal sites.

I believe that is a Target Exclusive.

In my area, it has been clearanced to $29.50.

Surprising for two reasons:

1. It's a brand new friggin' game. THPG just came out less than a month ago.
2. It's expensive to do a limited edition. To not even give it a chance is very surprising.
