Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Picked myself up a copy of tabla Rasa and Two Worlds, if Rasa drops to 85% I think I may clean them out

It's shitty to pay full price for a 30 day game, they need to cut that shit out, or give you 90 days. Guild Wars did it right, sell additional content, not time.

Kane and Lynch, Two Worlds, Zoo Tycon (complete collection) all on clearance. Unfortunately Kane and Lynch and Two Worlds are still $24.98 at the Meriden, CT Target. Not to mention I don't think Two Worlds is even worth $13, and the same goes for Lynch.

Just picked up Xbox 360 Splintercell DA. It was in the display case unmarked and scanned as $7.48 on the girls hand scanner. When the cashier tried to ring it up it said "Item not found". Cashier asked how much and I was honest(huzaa for honesty). All other PC games are still $24.98.

Your problem is buying NCSoft MMOs all together. One of the last companies I'd support.

Tabula Rasa, Kane and Lynch, Two Worlds, Time Shift, and The Golden Compass all for PC @ 12.48 at the Oswego, IL Target. Picked up the TR myself.

They had a stack of PS3 and a couple 360 games. The only 360 games I noticed were Def Jam Icon, Fantastic 4, Virtua Tennis but they were all 29.98. Didn't pay any attention to the PS3 games.

hey i did the same thing with THPG it rang up on the girls hand scanner 14.98 and not at the register and she said how much did the lady say it was and I was honest... should said 3.98 lol :lol:

also i can see y returing a game to a store that isn't the original copy u purchased there (even with a receipt) could be seen as a problem (to post about i mean )

I believe that BB has the same PM guarantee as CC does, meaning you can bring in proof that the item is cheaper elsewhere, and they'll refund the difference. Just be sure to bring your reciept.

1 target has folklore at full price but 50% off another

Really weird, but I picked up Virtua Tennis 3 for the PS3 today at Target and there was no tax charged for the item on the receipt....just $19.99 out the door. The rest of my purchases correctly had the 9% sales tax (gotta luv good 'ol Chicago !!!). Any similar experiences?

I don't remember the exact wording but it was something like.
"Just buy it at Target, remove the clearance stickers, and take it back to Best Buy."

I can only assume that LinkinPrime didn't read the post it was quoting.

??? How is that a discussion of defrauding a store. I know exactly what I posted there and it's not a fraud at all. Perhaps you misread or misunderstood my post.

All you are doing is returning a sealed game to a store that you purchased it at with your own receipt. It's 100% legitimate and legal.

I have to agree with you on this one, if I find something cheaper within the original stores return period, and I have opened the original item, returning the other stores item is legitimate IF it is identical. I often rebuy items from target clearance later in the clearance cycle, and return them on the original receipt as well.

I cleared this up with LP via PM. It was simply a misunderstanding that I was recommending something that we frown upon here.

So carry on now -- back to the discussion of YMMV crappy game clearance at target

I saw jericho and ninja gaiden for ps3 on sale in norman, ok. I think Jericho was like 35 and ng was like 30...BUT i could be off on those by about 10 bucks.

I found Ghost Squad (Wii) for $12.46 at the Germantown, MD Target. This game was never properly put in their system, so YMMV as to availability or markdown.
