Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

My Target hates me and raised the price of Super Swing Golf from $19.98, to $29.99.
Under the scanner it says Assorted Wii Title or something.
Also Blue Dragon was $41.98.

If you like old-school JRPGs (especially Dragon Quest VIII), there's really no reason to dislike Blue Dragon. I loved it, and would say $30 is well worth it.

Supreme Commander is another new RTS and is currently $20 at bestbuy. It is rated much higher. The expansion pack, Forged Alliance will either be $10 or $20 at CircuitCity.


If you don't want to play online, then get Forged Alliance. It will be the same as having the complete game. If you go online with it, you will only be able to play as the new faction they added for this expansion.

Good pickup today!

I had hidden a copy of The Bigs for PS3 after I bought the last copy for $14.98. The one I hid dropped to $7.54, but it wouldn't scan (item not found message), so when the girl at the checkout scanned it, I said, "Okay, ring me up!" The other $14.98 copy is going back, post-haste!

They also had Folklore down to $29.98 and Ghost Recon: AW2 down to $19.98 (both for PS3), but since I don't own a PS3 yet and since I'm broke right now, I left 'em.

Does anyone happen to know if items aren't marked as clearance if they scan at clearance price? Blue Dragon for instance is still $59 at my local Target according to the shelf tag. Or is that even hit or miss?

The store near me has Capcom Classics & SFA 3 Max for the PSP at $14.99. They put them in the cheap ass games isle ($19.99 & under). They had a crapload of them. If they get clearanced for $10 or under I'm in.

IF they are at a clearance price, item WILL scan for that price, regardless of the shelf tag.

Here's what to do next time if there is a shelf tag AND your local Target has a price scanner that lets you punch in numbers: locate the DCPI number in the lower left corner of the shelf tag. The DCPI is a series of 9 digits. Go to a price scanner, punch in the 9 digit DCPI code, hit enter, then the current price will appear on the screen.

I did this yesterday when I saw a copy of Stuntman Ignition behind the glass with a $30 red tag. Unfortuantely, Stuntman rand up 'Out Of System'

Now this isn't an actual clearance price, but I found:

Finding this game is EXTREMELY YMMV!!! The store I bought it from had the newest price scanners; the models that will check the inventory of nearby stores. Only 1 other store had Custom Robo in stock.
