This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

went when the store opened at 8. still 24.98 even scanned each in. sucks..do they ever make the price drops later in the afternoon or later morning? i think i might have went to early ??

Everything that is Target clearance is hit or miss. YMMV every single time.
 
went back today they dropped the pc games but the console games were the same. Looks like they got rid of the jericho but snagged a copy of universe at war for 12.50!! This was the Polaris, Ohio location. If anyone is looking for a copy I might be able to stop back in tom an grab another.

Hmm....not exactly.

Target is fairly centralized. The mothership sends out price adjustments, and it is really about the department manager going out and making the adjustments....some are johnny on the spot, some aren't. I have noticed that "temporary price drops" are usually YMMV.

There is a good chance that if you see a Target deal flagged here, your local target will eventually get on board. Remember Monday is electronics mark down day, so check in late morning.

So, although there is some variation, it is a lot more consistent than say something like Wal-Mart where it is strictly YMMV because the dept managers there pretty much have complete control.

One Target I stopped at down in FL had that, Tabula Rasa, and Kane and Lynch for ~$12. Sadly, I'm back in PA. :(

Not necessarily, a Target here in CO still had Blue Dragon stickered at @ 41.98, and yes I scanned it as well. Still 41.98, so I wouldn't call all Targets centralized just yet. Not sure how these others are picking it up at 29.xx but still a no go here.

And it depends on when drops are processed and sometimes they don't get processed until late afternoon at stores around here.

Weird thing happened today. I happened upon a clearance copy of Blue Dragon at my Target. It was red-tagged at $41.98. I thought this was weird since the MSRP is $39.99. I had them price-check scan it, and it still came up $41.98. I thought it was like under $30 clearance at target?! How would that happen?

How would that happen?[/quote]The starting clearance price is 60 because Target didn't drop the MSRP with everyone else apparently and your store is at 30% off while other stores are at 50% off. Target does this from time to time, but if you get it at 75% off then the difference is only $5.

Hmm well the MSRP on their website (where it's not clearance) is $39.99. Is there a discrepency between the 2?

They only had 1 copy so I'm not very hopeful it'll still be there when it's at 50% off or 75% off lol

the game is fun but sort of aimed at younger kids... but Circuit City has it for 19.99 this week, price match it at Sears or Bestbuy and get it for $18 (@ sears i think they match 110%)

Picked up Meet the Robinson's for the 360 for $3.12 at the West Madison, WI Target. Not a stellar title, but I'm sure the kids will like it for $3 bucks.

Here's what to do next time if there is a shelf tag AND your local Target has a price scanner that lets you punch in numbers: locate the DCPI number in the lower left corner of the shelf tag. The DCPI is a series of 9 digits. Go to a price scanner, punch in the 9 digit DCPI code, hit enter, then the current price will appear on the screen.

I did this yesterday when I saw a copy of Stuntman Ignition behind the glass with a $30 red tag. Unfortuantely, Stuntman rand up 'Out Of System':bomb:

Finding this game is EXTREMELY YMMV!!! The store I bought it from had the newest price scanners; the models that will check the inventory of nearby stores. Only 1 other store had Custom Robo in stock.

Thanx for the info, VERY helpful indeed! This will be much easier then dragging an employee over and trying to explain why I'd like a price scan for an item that's shelf marked at a higher price. Not everyone objects but many do all the more if it doesn't scan at a clearance price.
 
still waiting for folklore to drop to 15, and jericho to 12.50, both for ps3. no one really seems to nab clearance stuff at my target.

also, godfather for wii and ps3 were labeled with their clearance $25 prices, but rang up as generic titles for $30. i guess they won't drop anymore. lame.
 
I know it's not clearance, but I picked up Guild Wars: Eye of the North for $9.99. Looks to be a permanent price cut.
 
I went and saw some mostly PC on clearance. Two Worlds was $12something. Jericho was $7.48. Time Shift was $12something. Don't rememeber the price, but saw Heroes of Might & Magic 5. I saw The Ship, which I could have sworn was mentioned here being clearanced earlier but was ringing up $19.99. And even though it isn't clearance, most of the $9.99 budget PC jewel case games are down to $8.49-8.99. And there was Tiger Woods and Tony Hawk 's Underground for $3.something on the Xbox.

Aside from games though, there was a LOT of other stuff on clearance. The whole global bizzare was on clearance, some bathroom stuff was, and some blankets and quilts. And of course, the left over Valentine's day stuff.

I'll be hitting another Target tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll find Tabula Rasa for $12. I'll definitely enjoy the free month I get if I find it. :p
 
For those interested in Guild Wars: Eye of the North for $9.99 and located in Tampa, FL, the target just south of 56 off Bruce B Downs has one copy remaining.
 
Unrelated to video games but my target had some posters on clearance for $1.48. Regularly $5.99. Picked up a halo 3 poster, shrek 3 poster and potc poster for the kids.

Finally saw drops on Folklore - 29.98, Jericho - 24.98 and Ninja Gaiden: Sigma - 29.98

Picked up all 3

Don't think any of those would have survived on the shelf for another week or 2 at my Targets...especially Folklore

Yeah Target is def YMMV. I have seen in my area Blue Dragon for both prices you list. I have also seen Godfather of PS3 for $7.xx and then $29.xx.

Picked up Tabala Rasa and got an extra copy (of course still sealed) up for trade. Looking to get some of the other clearance PC games or maybe some of the clearance 360 games.
 
Target in Oswego, IL on route 34 has Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Folklore and Jericho for 29.98. All PS3 of course I picked up NGS, and Folklore myself.

Target in Naperville, IL on Diehl has GRAW2 for PS3 for 27.98.

Jefferson City MO Target has The Movies for PC for 4.98 and Heroes of Might and Magic 5: Tribes of the East for 14.98.

Otherwise some of the console titles are ringing/price checking higher than the OP. Strange.
 
Picked up Tabula Rasa yesterday for $12.48. Yay! And like an above poster said, Monster House on the GBA is $3.74. And I found the most majestic thing, and it was already at 70% off at $2.48. A drink dispensing helmet. Now i just need to start buying cans and I'll be ready for game day.
